Purchased one recently from TRAX and I am truly impressed with how well it functions and how quiet it is. I moved my camper from back yard to front by myself with little effort. Glad I purchased it. It will definitely save my back and reduce my stress!
I have just purchased and received our Traxx today. I assembled it, that is, installed the batteries as instructed and proceeded to attach it to our 25’ Airstream. It performed admirably. I am a senior citizen and this piece of Canadian engineering is, in my estimation, top shelf. I thoroughly researched most all these type of units that are used to move campers and trailers and I am glad that I decided on the Traxx. The complaints that I am reading, I have not encountered. I am glad that I spoke with Jeff before my purchase and aired all my concerns, that he was able to put to rest. I am also glad that I did not allow myself to be swayed by these comments. This is an unsolicited commentary and a genuine purchase.
Looks good but I need one that can be used to launch my boat and trailer into salt water on a shallow beach. Will need to go into the water. Any ideas?
We are looking for a power dolly to launch a drift boat sitting on it's trailer. The trailer doesn't have it's own brake system. The boat ramps are usually primitive with gravel and boulders! Some are pretty steep inclines to get to the river. Will this dolly work??
You would need a dolly that is quite heavy to do this task as you will need the weight to gain the needed traction on the wet grade and loose ground texture. One of the biggest problems for any lightweight trailer dolly manufacturer is all the math involved with a boat in water, ground slippage, grade, trailer tongue weight, in and out of the water is a complete nightmare. Not to forget having a high IP rating to avoid water damage to the trailer dolly. I wish I could point to one said dolly manufacturer but at them moment there really isn’t anyone doing it as of yet.
@@Traxpowerdollysystems Actually, a drift boat is pretty light compared to a trailer, 5th wheel etc. The boat and trailer are usually 1,000lbs or less. The boat would stay on the boat trailer and the dolly would be used to move the boat trailer. The dolly wouldn't have to actually go into the water. The only thing that goes into the water is the back end of the trailer, just enough to slide the boat back and into the water by loosening the winch on the boat trailer. The dolly would remain on dry land. :)
Lee Vogel , for sure! We will make a how to video for that in the very near future. We just need to set aside some time to film it. I’m just waiting for the current virus to stand down so we can get together and make more helpful videos for you all. 🤔👍🏻
This is the ''best'' one I've ever seen and am wondering do you freight to Australia or would the freight be excessive. I'm waiting to have 2 knee replacements and now with the Covid all surgery's are on hold and my pushing and pulling a trailer days are over.
Us vs the other guys 222 feet per minute vs. 30 feet per minute Variable speed vs. Fixed speed Seconds to connect and disconnect vs. Bending over twisting ball stand for minutes Addable future proof connection plates vs. No ability to adapt to different style ball mounts 12.5" Low profile tires vs. 16" tires that rub most trailer chassis Rear caster wheel for easy transit vs. Requires user to pickup heavy handle and push or drag unit Motor won't overheat vs. 5 minute of run time requires 5 minute cool down time Quiet operation vs. Very loud grinding noise Weather protected motor control system vs. Exposed printed circuit board* Standard hitch balls used vs. Expensive modified hitch balls Multi purpose adapters vs. Unavailable or not offered This list is always growing as we are always improving our products and listening to our customers suggestions.
The bottle jack is pointless. The weight of the tongue will settle it in just like it would on a vehicle ball-hitch. But as it’s been said good prototype and makes it easier to work in that garage but a commercial product? It’s sketchy.
Shogun, we filmed this at my personal garage over a weekend and didn’t feel the need to shoot the video at our assembly plant. We have over 16 years building super cub replica aircraft that have won many awards for shortest takeoffs and landings. Do to the fact that not many people have their pilots license we chose to get into trailer dolly business. I understand why you might think the riser plate is not needed but if you have a moment to chat over the phone I’d love to explain how it works and why it’s needed. Give me a call 1.519.860.8729

Paul Bufalieri thank you for your testimonial. 😊
This is made in Canada?

great idea, you should add a rubber shield to the terminal connections
Battery boots are now standard

Very cool hell you could put a wireless camera on trailer and monitor on track for moving through turns with out stopping
Can you use it for fifthwheel trailers ? What is the weight rating?
I'm sold. Will be in touch.
REALLY NICE JOB
How about a video on how to remove the drive wheels and install larger tires on the aluminum rims?

How does this do with an incline? Are there limits on trailer weight/ vs incline? i.e. a 5k trailer on a 2% incline vs 10k trailer on an 8% incline.
It will handle it like a champ

It's normally around double the cost to ship to AU but considering the distance that isn't bad at all.
add cover to the battery cables
They ask now come standard with battery boots
What kind of motor this uses, its nice and quite?
is this a better unit than the 360 park??

Can this be used with a large 5th wheel RV trailer?
Tom Fisher we will have a 5th wheel model soon.
Tom, we are developing a 5th wheel power dolly called the TRAX X5. Keep on eye on our website for further details.
Tom, our X2 design may have provisions for a 5th wheel coupler. Keep an eye open on our website traxpowerdolly.com for latests updates.
How much I nic information
