Yeah good point... I should have thought about it a bit more maybe. I just like the upcoming Brighton home fixtures, and Mitoma is always quite reliable.
Im trying to use eye test, general football instinct and analytics to make my decisions. What's the downside of using -4 when factoring in transfers. Especially when you ideally want to make two transfers but the players are in different positions and it needs you to sell a third one. I will use my example, going in to GW 3 I had to sell Odegaard and Bruno at 8.5 each with two quiet game weeks I lost it on waiting for them to return. So I sold them to get Salah and the funds left weren't great for anyone else in the mid. So I looked into my FWDs and sold Isak for Jao Pedro and got Rodgers in MID.
Every year I start with a team with transfers booked in and every year I regret it 😂my next wc, would it make sense to run 2 different sensitivity analysis one with transfers and one without and combine results to come up with a team? Say 50/50 split?
I think the ideal case is somewhere in between. Not a bad idea to go 50/50, but after you pick your team from the sensitivity, I would still check if it is scheduling any transfers. In an ideal case, you would want a team that does well both with and without transfers. -Sertalp
Thanks for the pod. I'm miles away from those optimal teams and tempted to wildcard over the break.
Great podcast, guys.
Rockin' the Van Persie Arsenal shirt. Nice.. Great pod as always Guys.
Its actually Fabregas at the back.
Nice content lads. Mitoma will travel far during international break. Put me off bringing him in. He could be rested
