After driving 1000's of kilometres, spending countless hours monitoring the dark night sky, will we finally see the Northern Lights here in Lapland Sweden? We've been in the arctic for a while, living winter van life in our tiny house on wheels in temperatures all the way down to - 26 degrees Celsius (not a typo - van life Sweden can be a challenge). Getting stuck in the snow occasionally, having a snackcident here and there and spending way too much of our nights peering at the dark sky rather than actually sleeping... Come on Aurora Borealis, make our arctic road trip even more epic :)

北極之光真的好美，堪稱鬼斧神工，時而靜止、時而跳躍奔放，北美洲的印地安人稱它們是「舞動的精靈」，對我來說它像是上帝在天上畫出的一幅藝術大作，有難以忘懷的感動。
在北半球觀察到的極光稱北極光，是一種電漿體現象，主要發生在具有磁場的行星上的高緯度區域，而在地球上的極光帶即是經度上距離地磁極10°至20°，緯度寬約3°至6°的區域。
現代物理學對其產生原理有詳細描述：地球上的極光是由於來自磁層和太陽風的帶電高能粒子被地磁場導引帶進地球大氣層，並與高層大氣（熱層）中的原子碰撞造成的發光現象。

I watched another van life video talking about malfunction heater, don't know if your heater works the same way, but they found out it was the diesel fuel caused it, so they drained it by driving a lot…I'm not sure about the details, hope this will help you find the answer.
The purple sky was amazing, was it real?
@@JestonSun Yes one of the main reasons for choosing this van was because it is the only one Naick could stand upright in because he is so tall
@@Ruberik2F yes it was all very real. It was even better (more clear) in real life than in the video even! We think the problem with the heater was because in 2 days time in Abisko the temperature dropped from minus 2 to minus 26 degrees celsius, causing moisture in the air intake to turn into ice because it was so cold.

Wow...awe-inspiring. The dancing purple-pink was stunning....of divine origin! I wasn't even there in person and felt goosebumps and teary-eyed. Could be the whisky though.
Haha whiskey will do that too I guess ;) especially the ones Naick drinks, the peaty ones. Every time I kiss him after he's had one I get teary eyed too cause I don't like peat haha 😂

Wow. This is really amazing! I have seen the northern lights in Alaska. But nothing like this. You had seen the different colors of northern lights. I definitely want to go see the northern lights again. Can’t wait to traveling again.

The northern lights are all worth the hassle Naick and Kim. Those are just two of my favorite colors- green and purple. I have never imagined it would be that beautiful like the way you have taken those videos. The snow landscape are superb as well. Can’t wait for the next video. You two keep safe especially with such extreme weather conditions. Btw, I’d like to ask if your van has a name? I might have skipped it in one of the earlier videos. But Mr. or Ms. Van has really been hardy. Cheers.
In the end we went with Vinny for the van. Because we had started calling it that hahaha. Vin(ny) Diesel is pretty hardy piece of machinery haha.
