Steve Martin as 'The Great Flydini', and, as himself, in an appearance on Jonathan Ross's The Last Resort that went out on 9th October, 1987. At the start of his career Steve Martin worked part-time in Disneyland, California, selling guidebooks on weekends and spending free time in the magic shop. It was hilarious to see Steve Martin make mincemeat of Jonathan Ross (had forgotten he was ever that young!) Ross just couldnt cope with it.

Steve did The Great Flydini act for several years. This is an early version before he added a female side character to the bit and it's not quite as polished as it would eventually be. There are videos of him doing it at the White House for an American Film Institute event in 1989 and on Johnny Carson's _The Tonight Show_ in 1992. That's the last instance I've found of the performance.
