For Hongbin’s case he was actually talking about the REMIX versions of those songs that was done by other people not the idols themselves. He was saying the REMIX was bad. Those who watch he twitch stream that day would know. He already apologised countless times and even turned on his stream to apologise for an hour (he cried too) but those ignorant people just ignored those facts and bluntly accused him. He did nothing wrong at all and shouldn’t have to leave the group.

@@DubuKkura if you know how SM works you would understand the comment. SM has always been known to make their artist apologize rather than share their side of the story to make people understand why the scandal took place. Take Lucas for example. SM does not give a sh** about their artists as a person. They only care about making money. I still believe there was a reason behind Irene's behavior towards the said stylist.

SM might have heard the recording through inside sources and were shocked of it and they forced the verbal abuser to apologize coz it's a concrete evidence that would be much more devastating and worse for them and might end her career and her group as well if it's leaked in public. If the stylist was overreacting and lying about her being verbally abused, then why didn't SM just let her leak the recording and sue her for character defamation coz it isn't really that horrific and sickening as she claimed it to be? They would have just prove the stylist claims are false and buried the issue. But no, what makes the audio recording so scary that even a huge company like SM chose the "apology" path instead of proving that the stylist claims are wrong? Think about it for a second. And I mean seriously, do you think the verbal abuser deserves to be talked in private calmly after being verbally abused by her? She is not the stylist mother, her employer, or her slave. The verbal abuser has no right to verbally harass her.
And for the record, still verbal abuse should not be condoned any where, what, and whom. No one deserves it. If you do you should be ashamed of yourself. Try to put yourself in the stylist's shoes and see how you like being yelled at for twenty minutes when you're a veteran who has been in the industry for 15 years and whatever your client is saying is harsh enough to make you cry and you're just so utterly humiliated that you wonder why you're even in this industry. Oh, and at the end of the day your client is pampered by her fans while you're left to pick up the pieces of yourself that she has broken. We should not deny what has happened nor should we oppress the voice of the victim just because she is your idol. The stylist she bullied is someone's child. Possibly someone's sister. Now I know that there are a few instances where some of the actions of these idols are really bad and there’s no excuse for their behaviour but I’ve been a k-pop fan for a while now and often I see videos like these and I’m just dumbfounded by the amount of headlines about idols doing something small and fans will make it a big deal and try to out them out or “cancel” them. Koreans will hold such a high standard for these idols yet they are the same people who literally would do the same thing behind close doors

  • @AntikePuppe
    @AntikePuppe 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +122

Well, most of those "scandals" seem to be blown out of proportion. Like one slip up and their so-called fan's turn on the idols.
I mean for example. saying you are disgusted to have to hold 700-800 of hand in ONE day is understandable, especially if some of those fans have poor hygiene - it's normal to complain in private about that. Just because the fans pay money doesn't mean the idols have to endure everything with a smile. Or with the stylist, we only know her part of the story. Just because she screamed first doesn't make her the victim. If anything, she was truly unprofessional complaining that the idol didn't give her attention at first. She didn't even specify why they blew up on them so that nobody could target them for potentially butchering their job. The image of an idol is their livelihood, and a bad stylist could do some serious damage to that. It also takes a vile person to go straight to the Internet with their complaints, knowing that the "annonym" idols always get identified and their careers/lives damaged long-term. It should have been handled intern/privately.

Ok I just listened about what was said about Hongbin's and I wanna set the record straight as someone who watched the actual stream.
    1. Shinee's Everybody
About the "Everybody" criticism, he wasn't talking about the song itself, he was criticising about the choice of letting Everybody play alongside a freaking Digimon song. His critique at that part was actually VERY TAME. My opinion: It was an abomination to the ears and if cringe was a unit of measure, it'd be in the scale of the thousands!
    2. The "Red Flavor"remix
Without context, yeah, it would sound like what he said about the remix is bad. But if you guys actually listened to the clip, would you guys think otherwise? At first listen I thought to myself that it wasn't that bad. But after listening a second time I would say that Hongbin's statement was really tame, because the remix sounded like it was recorded next to a blender that was making a smoothie out of huge chunks of ice. It's THAT BAD. Also the one who made that remix admitted that, yes, it was bad.
    Edit:
Ok I might've been too harsh here but yeah. To actually sum up how it sounded, it sounded like the editor was more focused on the melody, heavily synthesized it and blending the voices of RV themselves was like an afterthought. It sounded like Red Velvet was singing behind the window of the house that blasted the synthesized version of the melody in their room.
    3. The "Wolf" statement
It's obviously a Twilight joke. Also the ones who spread this part conveniently left out the part that he said this afterwards. "In the end, vampires and werewolves all coexist and live together in harmony."
I'm not gonna defend him on the Be Mine choreo critique because yeah in my opinion I agree that it was kinda rude. Still, he is entitled to his opinion. And also do take note that he said all of this... WHILE DRUNK!!! (I'm surprised that the creator of this vid omitted that fact since it was a drunk stream.)

    The ridiculous ones
Somi - > Starbucks was always neutral. They sued a pro-Palestine union for using the Starbucks logo for their agenda, which is Starbucks trying to protect their trademark. Idk how TikTok narrated this story, but combined with the fact that the Starbucks founder supports Israel, people misunderstood the whole scenario and started boycotting the brand. Starbucks's founder isn't the CEO and must have other means to make money. Its not like Starbucks ignored it, but they did clarify their stance, but people don't care. Starbucks America no longer owns Starbucks in Korea. They sold their shares in 2021, and the companies that bought Starbucks Korea acquired the licensing rights to use the brand. And people are acting as if Boycotting Starbucks will end the war LOL. So Somi's actions weren't Wrong, but again if she wasn't in a position to correct this misunderstanding and got caught up in the hate train, she should have been a bit careful.
    Vague ones
Irene -> Like as much I understand, unless people take things public, the Company and idols don't take action, but I hope such misunderstandings are resolved internally. This person just accuses Irene and again says it is a misunderstanding. Companies aren't the idol's mothers, but idols know better than anyone that image damage puts a damper on their careers. I know all idols aren't perfect, but at least they should be professional when working because their actions even damage the group's image.
    The reasonable one
Chae-young -> What Chae-young and JYP did was wrong. As much as I understand why some people can't forgive her, I understand why she must not been aware of the swastika symbol. She debuted when she was 15, which means she didn't have a proper school life, and studies must have been hard to cope with. JYP probably gives them PR training on things that should have been avoided, but we don't know if they have touched on global historical stuff. If the idols are unaware, The company should be responsible for educating them and monitoring their social media activity. If they want their idols to be globally promoted they should have a team educated on the global news. But She wore this T-shirt to schedules in the US and no one bothered to tell her she shouldn't be wearing it. I know there are people who can no longer forgive her actions and that's fine. Still, I do wish people could give her a second chance considering she apologized immediately the moment she was notified, which at least means she wasn't aware of the severity of the symbol, but the moment she knew, she apologized. I know it's the bare minimum, but this shows she is a person who takes accountability for stuff when things go wrong. Idols usually hide behind their company or use their Korean card when they do stuff that upsets international fans, especially CA. but very few apologize personally before the company releases a statement

@@moonl1ghtsunrise , the nazi adaptation of the Swastika is Hakenkreuz, which is tilted. Swastika is usually flat like the plus symbol, while the hakenkreuz is like multiplication symbol. But WW2 is something that is covered in history classes across the world, especially the incidents that took place under Hitler. Well-known clothing stores, even the locally famous ones(which usually have a chain like TJ Maxx in the USA or Westside in India), do not even sell any shirts with this symbol. The fact that Chaeyoung wore such a shirt means she got it from a local shop(a small shop owner). Maybe she bought it for aesthetics, but it makes her look so bad because it will even look like she hunted for that shirt to wear it. Big Kpop agencies are pushing their groups globally; maybe they are educating their idols. But again GFRIEND's member also got backlash for a similar incident, so Kpop agencies should be informing their idols when these incidents happen.

See this , I mean regardless if you know the history or not , this was the style back in the punk rock days. And YESS the intention , she just wore it for fashion and all these people are saying all this dumb shiii about her. Like damnnn it’s just a shirt , it’s them making it SUCH a big deal over nothing. You could just tear the shirt in half and there you go. 🤦🏻‍♀️ problem solved for all those sensitive ass people. She already apologized but dummies are still hating her for it 🤦🏻‍♀️

she's didn't even knew shit abt that band or the meaning behind the shirt, she just wore it for the aesthetic and that's why we can see her wearing that tee at least ten times on camera plus those ig posts. she knows nothing about it, but didn't even had the dignity to cover the nazi symbology just in case people call her out for that. we have two conclusions here:
      1. she's defo stupid (not in the ouu my goofy pookie 🥺🥺 way y'all try to pull of to defend her and make her look awfully ignorant abt the ww2)
      2. she's a nazi

In their teens they spend their time dance practicing, tours, working outs, vocal coaching and they don't even get to watch TV, news, and especially politics. Korean women are modest are innocent mostly and I bet that she doesn't even have a single clue about the design of the shirt she wore, and that doesn't make her wrong. There's African natives who don't know Biden is, natives in the jungles of Mexico who never heard of Taylor Swift and so on. I mean if she's born in Europe I bet she'll never even touch the shirt, right? Have an open mind here and see the big picture. She was 14 when she got accept as trainee, but do you know if she actually went to school and had history classes? Do they prioritize teaching it over the history of Korea, their wars and such? Do you think a 14 year old brain who isn't driven to be a full time student would have grasp the depth of that knowledge, religiously remember dates of events, people involved and remember it all along when her teenage life and focus is mostly occupied by her intense training to be an idol? Think about it. Don't expect people from the other side of the world to have the same knowledge, thinking, and understanding of things. Many people are unaware of many things even if they're old. Wrong. Educate yourself. The word genocide is totally misapplied in this situation. The population of palestine has been increasing exponentially. There has been a population boom. Half of the population is under 18 yo because they are breeding rapidly. If this is a genocide, it's the worst genocide ever. It's actually opposite to a genocide.
Now if you are relating the word genocide to the deaths after the Massacre of Oct 7th when Hamas massacred all the Jews then even here you use the word inappropriately as do all the pro-palestinians. The definition of genocide is the "destruction of a race of people" and it usually involves destruction of a large percentage in order to acieve that aim. Less than 1% of palestinians have died after the Oct 7th massacre. In addition the death count is reported by Hamas, the terrorists, believe it or not. So 27000 is more like 2700. The 'genocide' term couldn't be used more inappropriately.

I happened to have the luck that a mutt kitten I adopted turnt out to be a halfbreed (half-oriental short hair). She had 1 litter before I had her spayed (the dad was a mutt). Halfbreeds are the true lottery prize and I've updated my adoption preferences from mutts to mutts & halfbreeds. Halfbreeds are healthier but still have purebred traits. Even my quarter-breds have a few purebred traits each like her eldest daughter loves playing fetch- behavior more commonly found amongst Oriental cats & Siamese. Her kittens were each a surprise of their own because of their mixed traits.

It's CRAZY how many people think Chaeyoung is racist towards jewish people... did you forget that SHE IS KOREAN? N*zis allied with Imperial Japan, who ALSO committed genocide against KOREANS. Why would she have N*zi ideologies if she is KOREAN?? That's like saying she is racist with herself...
The swastika (tilted) and manji (straight) symbols look very similar, but have very different meanings! Manji means 'good fortune' in East Asia, but N*zi Germany modified that symbol into a swastika and used it for racism. Chaeyoung said she didn't correctly recognize the meaning of the tilted swastika, so she most likely confused it with the manji symbol.
If you try to argue that "she should've known about the swastika," then who's to say that Koreans were educated about N*zi Germany on the same level as the West? She most likely knew about Hitler, but didn't focus too much on the symbol of the party. Koreans most likely focused on the wrongdoings of Imperial Japan, not N*zi Germany! I bet if you showed the Rising Sun symbol to the average American, they wouldn't know what it is - just look at Bella Poarch's rising sun scandal!
