Not even that. You can hate people from your own racial and ethnic background(s), but these people are just ignorant and xenophobic. Chinese idols get so much unnecessary hate and "accidental" discrimination, as well as the HK and Taiwanese idols getting hate from Chinese fans and other people, too. Especially when there's a scandal, then these three particular groups are told to "go back to where you came from". Japanese idols, too. Honestly, people need to just realise how politically and historically biased they are, and work on improving themselves. Fans are discriminating against people even of different nationalities, when their problem is with that country's leadership, not the citizens.
@@someoldytaccount I’m not saying I stand for it but Chinese idols are known to get in a kpop group to boost their career in China. Many leave their groups because they’ll be A list celebrities with huge and expensive sponsorships even if they didn’t come from a top kpop group. Also whenever something happens in China like the whole Hong Kong dispute most if not all Chinese members of kpop groups went to either Weibo or Instagram to show solidarity to China. Korea and China has had a long hateful history hence why many knetizens see it as betrayal when groups leave their kpop group to get paid more in China
@@blacklungsanji3 I think what you talk about is the cyclical process Chinese idols see themselves gravitating towards, as their chances to gain celebrity status in South Korea are limited, due to their nationality/current citizenship. Idol programs are also more focused on catering to Korean trainees/idols, so this is why many Chinese idols go back to China to compete in programs. But I can kinda understand why fans think that way, but, at the end of the day, this is someone's life and career we're talking about, and lifelong fans will support someone, no matter what country or language they are promoting in. In saying all of this, and slightly off point, but to a certain extent, I think everyone would rather promote in their home country, but C-pop is largely unknown worldwide, and so going to South Korea to hopefully become a trainee presents much better opportunities for a career. And it's not like this is only relevant to Chinese idols, either. Idols who have ties to the USA or Canada usually go back there to promote after gaining a certain level of support. I see it like gaining experience for a job, which results in better future opportunities. Such opportunities don't happen without some sort of current sacrifice. Indeed, nothing in life happens without some form of sacrifice.
@@blacklungsanji3 This. The way Chinese celebs rush to support their government’s controversial agenda is ridiculous. And i find it uncomfortable how you can’t really tell an idol’s moral stand because they’re all compelled to support their government whether they want it or not. It’s just weird

Every issue aespa has is due to their company, even their entry into the entertainment industry was too flashy, they made big promises and big words, making people look out for the girls mistakes, the girls have to be careful over everything, there are other 4th generation girls but why them??, considering they came out from a big company, their company is just worsening their problems, they first compared them to blackpink, forgetting how blackpink fandom read into everything, so they will look for anything to make people say they copied bp, be it a dress, tune, beat, drops, hair, and why is their plagiarism too much, i am not a big fan but i don't hate them as well, if their company pointed out how unique their group is and why we should look forward to them without playing mind games and using complicated words that would step on anyone's toe, just maybe people wouldnt be too over them looking into their mistakes, they were bringing something new no doubt
@@mae_ri You have a point, the company can do so much to represent them better. Their word versus the public is stronger and people will believe it. If they spoke up about more about ÆSPA's purpose and image and what makes them stand out as a group, they could be better received. I'll admit, I find Aespa's concept a bit confusing/perplexing. However, they are gorgeous and talented (I especially love Ningning's voice) and don't deserve this amount of hate. I swear, it sounds like people are just looking for controversy because they're bored or frustrated with the state of the world and just trying to take out their negative emotions on other people. I hope the four members of Aespa will rise above this and continue their hard work. Edit: I'm not confused about what their concept is, I'm confused why, from a marketing perspective, SM Entertainment is being so restrictive with how they're using it. I haven't seen an act from SM Entertainment that has stuck so strictly to the concept the way they have with Aespa. I'm even more confused that with all of the hate these very talented girls are getting, that they're really not doing much to defend them, especially when a lot of the things people are complaining about were probably not from Aespa members themselves, but from choices SM made. Considering the amount of time and money that goes into training and creating a kpop group, I would think SM would look out for their investment in these girls better than they seem to be doing, even if just from a business standpoint (although I hope they care about the members of the group more than in just being focused on business, but also from a safety and well-being perspective.)

It’s so sick to see that the major reasons why they are hated is 1. Someone else’s actions 2. Fake rumors 3. Racism/ fat phobia The only mistake that they made was the islamphobic joke and the n slur, they can be held accountable cause those are true but the rest are pure bullshit
And Giselle already apologized, but those haters saying that “can’t forgive” and “deserve the hate” and especially sending death threats are signs of low morale quality, it’s useless to talk to those kinds of people, they grow up in that kind of toxic family and environment, so they have that victim mentality and stupid idiotic morale so they “can’t forgive” and judge people who make mistakes, like they are sinless saints who’ve never made any mistakes, ignore them, they’re not in the same level of us, nor Giselle
@@girlyrandomcorner Are you serious?? Just bc someone apologizes doesn’t mean the hurt ones are to forgive immediately. A very different example could be a killer giving a short apology to the victim’s family and friends… does that make it so they have to forgive immediately? No. Probably also if you feel an apologizing person is being insincere, you wouldn’t want to accept their apology and forgive them. Giselle speaks fluent English and has been to either Canada or the US as an exchange student, I don’t remember which one, but this just puts her at a higher standard. You aren’t a hater for not accepting a fluently English speaker’s quick, short apology surrounding the n-slur. You just either expect better, expect her to show remorse and actively change - or you just don’t care, which is acceptable as well, because a victim’s reaction and response shouldn’t adhere to the offender’s feels and well-being, it should completely focus on their own hurt and if they feel forgiveness is deserved.

Hating idols, especially when they are in SM, is literally a wrong move for every hater out there. And now Aespa, the 4th gen girl group of SM with such amazing talents, gets criticism for lipsyncing, Giselle can't dance, Karina lacks muscle movement, and the hate for foreign members. I really don't get it, but don't you get it? Those idols that were criticized were now loved by the people, literally ate their words after saying harsh comments, even caused the death of 2 loved SM vocalist, Sulli and Jonghyun. Someday, this haters will also eat their words, vibing with Aespa's songs, and stanning over the members. Until then, just fuck off will you?

When æspa debuted, I was so excited because the whole VK-pop concept is so cool and I love K/DA. I was so excited to see what they would do with the characters, but I was so disappointed when I saw how STIFF the characters are. Like they really said "My hair...it don't move" Leave Karina alone. Stop being racist to Ningning. And come on now, Winter is just living her life stAWP. Giselle knew what she was doing when she said the n-word, and as a black person I am highly disappointed. And don't give me that "We need to educate Giselle" babes she is the most fluent and educated in English and don't say 'she apologised' no...no she didn't "I got carried away" gives off very 'I'm sorry I got caught' vibes Yeah but anyway...i was going to be such a huge MY.
Speaking English =/= being aware of every single detail about the cultural background of one of the many countries that use that language. I can tell you there are a lot of people in my country that speak English perfectly and are not aware of the n-word thing.
So people really forget “do onto others as you want done onto you”? It’s so sad for people to be so hateful towards such young girls, what if it was someone you knew?
Being talented and pretty bring haters I guess... But like I always say, haters sit down and just watch AESPA being legends. If you want to send hate adress SM not the girls. We MYs can be very powerful. Don't mess with us!

Personally I think Æspa is a nice group outside of the hate. Most of the controversy is not in the idols control yet they get the backlash of companies/staff work. People need to chill it’s not even their fault
See I love Aespa and they deserve all the love however I do not think they deserve all the female rookie group awards (but they probably will same with Enhypen for the boy groups due to them being super popular) as other groups are also super talented like Pixy and Purple Kiss (I may be biased tho due to the fact I just started stanning them and stuff) who also deserve the award. The hate towards Ningning's nationality shows how a lot of knetizens lacks breeding.

Giselle speaks fluent English and has been to either Canada or the US as an exchange student, I don’t remember which one, but this just puts her at a higher standard. Its because SM wants Aespa to be big internationally as well as in Korea. All their previous groups only really cared about the Korean publics opinion.
