TRANSCRIPT (for vision impaired):
Here's Bill Handley's shortcut for division. Change the 13 into a 1. And float the three up in the air. Now we only need to divide by one digit. Ask yourself. How many 1's go into 1? One. So write down one. Next multiply the floating 3 with the one in the answer. You now have 3. move this answer underneath the 3 in the question. what is 3 minus 3. the answer is zero. write zero in the answer. next move onto the 9. how many ones in 9? the answer is 9. Do not write it down yet, we still need to deal with the floating 3 again. what is floating 3 times 9? the answer is 27. now minus 27 from 90. what is your answer? now ask yourself. how many ones into 6? the answer is 6 remainder 3. write down six. So that's it! That's a pretty close estimate about how much larger the sun is than earth. The largest star in our solar system. Our great sun is 106 times larger than earth.
