I always look forward to the comments after these two brilliant bands battle. Point is....they are both both great bands and yes Southern set the gold standard years ago; however TC is every bit as advertised and can definitely hold their own with anyone!!! There something special about our youth entertaining, learning, growing and having fun at their special craft!! Instead of putting down OUR bands, let us applaud them for the talented musicians they truly and the hours of entertainment that they provide our society year end and year out! I love all my HBCUs through and through!!! #everydayoftheweek!
battles like this is what keep HBCU band alive. Southern easily could've said no and went back home after the ASU but the showed up. TC is constantly growing and polishing their sound. I really don't see why so many people hate them. I know quite a few HBCU bands they can easily smash but let me sip this tea and shut up!
I agree with u 100% this was a classic battle especially in front of the high school kids... They need to know that being in the band in college is worth their time cuz as u can see in some areas the student are becoming less interested and I do think TC is improving and they would smash more than half of these bands out here they should not b overlooked at all

This was not a Battle... This was a recruiting session for SU, they knew TC didn’t have the chops, SU showed Up and just showed out just to show those kids the big difference.
+haz Austin Yes sir! Their arrangements are just on another level. Even if you can match volume with them, the arrangements will kill anything you throw at them (as long as the songs are executed, which most of the time they are). They just might have an endless book. Lol!
Marion Simmons Talladega was way louder imo especially going against su with fiberglass and regular baritones but the battle this year showed tc can hang with the best of em and rattle some cages
