I'd like to point out the fact that I saw you had eco mode enabled. You're not going to get any kind of responsiveness with that thing on. I definitely notice a difference in throttle when it's enabled, and I haven't found that it really saves gas.
Romeo W what are you talking about. You’re comparing a qx60 to an v6 accord at acceleration. I own a 2019 qx60 and a 2017 Honda Accord v6 touring. The touring will blow the qx60 away in a heart beat..no comparison
I own both the QX60 and the Accord and my experience is based on actual driving experience. Do you own the Infiniti QX60 too or to be more specific can afford one to purchase and maintain?
The heated seats don’t bother me like they do most. I had a 04 Acura TL before this one and like the heated mirrors I wouldn’t have either one on for more then 5 minutes. Any longer is overkill. Volume knob gone doesn’t bother me as well since my cars for the past 10-15 years have had the controls in the steering wheel, which I use 99% of the time, but that’s me. All cars can always have things to make them better💯
The real problems I have with my 2017 Touring are: 1. The adaptive cruise control shuts off under 25mph, meanwhile 2016 Civics have adaptive cruise control WITH low speed follow. This is a critical missing feature on the Accord for those in urban areas where highway traffic is common. Having this feature the Civic will inch along with the car in front of you without driver input, whereas the Accord cannot. 2. The passenger seat has no height adjustability. So leg support is very poor for those on the passenger side. The driver’s seat has height adjustability as well as lumbar support.
Ryan Gehret tbh I don’t usually like leaving this feature on my accord longer than a few minutes anyways. Just like the heated mirrors. My 04 ACURA TL was the same way. Guess I’m just used to it.
Circling back to this video because I'm the recent owner of a 2016 V6 Touring. Definitely agree regarding the infotainment. But Honda/Acura has always struggled in this area. In terms of looks, these are subjective. However, the most prevalent sentiment is that this is one of the best designed versions to to date. (The 8th gen -- of which I was also an owner, 12 EX Sedan -- was the most bloated until the 11th gen came along and took that crown.) So, with respect to general style, chrome accents and lack of seating support, Honda really didnt intend this to be an type of sports sedan, though there is some sportiness injected into the setup. For that, one would probably need to look more at the TLX.
I agree with the transmission that's why I play with my car until I adjusted it it's perfect now I can care less I don't use the heated seats as far as the radio that's the real that's one of the main reasons why I bought the car it looks clean no buttons and the fact that I think that body stylist great looks gorgeous
I have a 2017 accord touring v6 also and I don’t know why you guys love the volume knob, they suck because, they wear out thru time of use that’s why the touch control is better..
Bro, I will agree with SOME of what you said (the infotainment and sound quality for sure) but this is hands down one of the cleanest and nicest Accords made yet. Have a 03 V6 EX-L and to this day, with 250k on it, runs like a taped plate (I know that’s not what it is but….Karen’s of the world) I’m actually purchasing a 17’ Touring in a few days to replace my other Accord. Good video tho
I also have a 2003 Accord V6 in mint. Condition with 115k. I have found a 2017 3.5 liter for 26k with 23k mikes. Looks bad ass. Hard to pull the trigger with my mint condition 2003 that is paid for. What you think?
@@azariahisrael5632 I 💯 would buy one. Not just saying that cause I own one lol. I am utterly overall impressed with every single thing about it. Power delivery is amazing. Handles great and is super comfortable. Since I bought it three weeks ago, I am constantly getting compliments on it (it’s not longer stock so I assume that plays a roll). The best part about the 17? Is it reminds me of all the great things about the 03’s. They haven’t lost the feel of the Accord. They just made it better. I’d personally pull that trigger lol
@@raya74 oh it’s still incredible. Even more so now. I have added many exterior mods with tasteful carbon fiber placed throughout (it’s black on black) and first mod I did was a Takeda intake and that actually did something imo. Then I pieced together a supercharger kit (Rotrex mixed with some other goodies) and just recently bought a K-tuner flash V2 and have my appointment set up for a dyno tune in the next two weeks. I love the car. Yes there are some things I don’t care for. So instead, I just replaced it (like the ‘wood trim’ in the interior I bought carbon fiber inserts and it looks incredible and changes the entire attitude of the interior) Still the best accord I’ve ever owned and I’ve owned 4. Personally I like the sedans better than the coupes but either way, 9/10 all day.
@Farewell_ To_Normalcy good to know cause with inflation I paid way too much but I've been wanting v6 for a long time it was low kms I plan on keeping it for some time
I have the pleasure of owning a 2016Honda AccordV6Touring coupe. I didn't buy the car for the radio, it may not be the best buy it works fine. Yes radios have improved besides a radio is not as important in a car the way it use to be. The supposed hot and cold heated seat is inconsequential, no one critiques cars on the temp of the heated seats. Only luxury cars and this car is a very very good near luxury car. The looks are great. My 2016 is approaching a decade old, it looks great, contemporary, it garners attention from girls
The 6 speed auto that this accord has, was really good when it came out in 2013, in 2017 Honda created their own 10 speed automatic and everybody says is almost a perfect transmission, is very smooth, it has very short gears and is very quick to shift and the response is very quick, and the response of the paddle shifters in this transmission is very quick, sad that Honda never put it in this V6 accord 😔 it may have been very good but they put it in the new accord with the 2.0T that also works really good
As far as the seat heaters are concerned, I wish they would just give the customer the option of cloth or leather. Leather is so much colder in the winter and hotter in the summer time, and I would just rather have seats that didn’t freeze (or burn) my posterior upon contact.
Anyone have problems with the transmission specifically the V6 touring model with 6spd showing a "transmission system problem" warning light on the dash??
Or you can just hit source from anywhere... you just dnt seem that tech savy. Why go thru everything you did just to change the source when the button is right there? Also wantin super response while drivin in eco mode!!? You sound new to the car scene
I sway in the seats uncomfortably in my touring as well in these seats. Yes, comfy seats, but not bolstered for Sport. This Touring has Sport touches and finishes...though this is not a Sport's cars...keep that in mind.
I know this is an old video, but thought I'd comment on the Sport mode. I have a 17 V6 Accord EX-L and the sport mode really is quite good when on a track. I autocross mine and the transmission never seems to be in the wrong gear. I'll agree for driving on the road it's really bad. It probably should be called "track" mode. This car is a bit of sleeper though.. certainly not the fastest car on the track, but I get quite a few comments about how surprised they are with my times (so far I've been running stock setup plus high performance tires). I certainly had to agree with your comment on needing better bolstering.. I'm all over that seat when going around the track!
Hey don't worry about the scorching hot setting. If it is like my wife's Accord the scorching hot will degrade to little more than luke warm. You just didn't read far enough into the manual to find out about that feature. Wife needs a new car. I have no idea what to get her. Might have to try Volvo. At the end of the day my fried, Honda's are price point cars.
It would seem that your Chinese wife seems to be ok with your affinity for Japanese cars, my Chinese wife however is not!! After two Bimmers I don't remember how I got her into the Accord but it aint' going to happen again.
Oh yeah the "Source" button on the Steering Column is what gets you from FM to AM, to XM to iPOD, etc. Works that way on her car and on my '13. Guess they changed that on the Type R. The right to left button will scroll you through your presets.
In my opinion. For those owner with this year with the V6, I’d say keep it. It’s the last Accord with that beautiful buttery smooth V6 and the most beautiful by far. My opinion, that is all.
Honda said that this 6 speed is programmed to have 2 personalities, if you have it in drive it response slower because is “always” trying to save fuel, if you have it on S (sport) the transmission response is a lot quicker and it even downshifts while you are braking and another thing that I asked Honda, why if the accord sport sedan with the CVT have paddle shifters ( with no gears) why the V6 sedan ( with real gears) it doesn’t have the paddle shifters it doesn’t make any sense
I am so glad I watched this video! It made me truly appreciate my being gen Z. I simply could not put up with being in my own company if I whined incecently.

How can you say the “older generation” accord is nicer when this is literally the same body, they changed the bumpers and headlight and grills up a little
I totally agree… the transmission is not the best. It downshifts slow & is a bit clunky. Too bad cus you have an awesome V6 yet this tranny is subpar. Also it locks out 1st gear even in sport mode meaning it doesn’t hold 1st gear long enough.
