Next time ya go Redfishing & catch some keepers. Try & find the white pearls behind their eyes. A buddy of mine used to collect them & had a jar plum full of those "pearl's" as he called them. I believe they are flat on one side & helps the fish somehow. I believe only Redfish have them but not 100% sure. I think I asked him about other Drums or fish from the "Drum Family" like Croakers, etc.. have them & he said No. However, I could be wrong. Someone in here may know
Im 55 yrs old born n raised nola. Saw a guy when i was 17, in harahan, with a basket on his bike and a catfish hanging off handlebars. I memer cuz he was using a Spark Plug for a sinker, used of course. Lol

I found a homeless man dead in the French Quarter under the I-10 bridge @ Canal Street a couple of years ago. When I found him he was getting looted by another homeless guy. Surreal.

Consider trying 3oz pyramid weights. They're less inclined to roll in heavy current. They'll dig in better. You're vids are terrific man.

You should check out the water break at the lakefront right by Spanish fort. There are some huge alligator gar swimming around today
