@sandpine99 not the Florida trail particularly. But we’ve been hiking just outside of Tampa recently and the water seems high in the rivers and lakes but nothing bad. I’m more curious about the AT. I’ve read some parts are completely closed.
@@destinyritter1221 there are parts in nc and tn that are closed. There are still lots of people that need help. But so are the business that depend on hikers and visitors. Plenty of places on the AT that are open. All of GA and up to Fontana are fine.
So glad you popped up on. My stream!!! One of my goals if I ever get well enough!! Are you doing a through hike??? Man looks so peaceful!! Keep going and keep videos coming!! Just subscribed!
Enjoyed your film of this hike. I did mute the sound , that music after a few minutes gets repetitious and annoying , might just be me. After all this is your video and my mute button works quite well , enjoy the hike as you go along. The hike is what matters , the destination doesn't.
@@Oldsparkey lol.. yes that mute button come in handy. Specially when I am struggling to get air in climbs and I’m recording myself talking. 🤣. See day 5 please. I fixed the audio track then.
@@steveblindlost9424 yes it is. I fixed this on Day 5 after someone else pointed it out. The new version of iMovie I am using is not like the old one that lowers the volume during video and not during still shots. I am now doing that manually. See day 5 of this hike please and let me know if is better. I am doing the volume manually now.
Hey Sandpine! You seem like a lovely person and I'm going to enjoy your journey.....but PLEASE lose the repetitive music! ha It's totally annoying and it actually interferes with your voice. I think lots of folks would just love to hear your voice and the sounds of you walking the trail. Just my opinion.
@@tinchina85 thanks for the suggestion. Please see day 5. I fixed the audio track starting with that video. I use free video editor and didn’t do a good job at lowering the volume. But I bet the music is better than my heavy mouth breathing as I go up climb and I’m almost dying. lol….
@@frankynodots thanks for the suggestion. For the next video, I’ll either lower the volume on it or remove it during video. Maybe keep it for the pictures. But trust me, you don’t want to hear my heavy breathing! lol…
Oh wow... I just went back to re-watch these. Thank you for pointing this out. I use iMovie for this since I keep it simple and on the go to edit videos while on trail. Normal, iMovie does a decent job of fading the music to almost nothing when a video clip shows. Then when pictures are shown, the music theme ramps up. I went back to see my old videos and iMovie was doing a better job at it. The new iMovie with iOS 18 seems to not fade properly. I'll have to manually turn it down on future videos. You are right, it is annoying. Thanks again.
LOL... trust me, no issues with doing it in the woods. I was just stating how convenient it is to use the privy. I am not used to seeing these many "bathrooms" on a trail. No such things where I normally hike. Nothing like pooping with a view at top of a mountain. Besides who wants to deal with the smell and higher risk of Nora virus spread. :-).
@@fredrickriffel5845 I go hike to get lost in the woods and get away from people. But in the AT and even in the fall, I ran into more hikers than what I am used to or prefer.

I like the way you post hiking vids, man. Great content!

So good to see you out on the AT Sandpine! You’re an inspiration!

Love the video ENJOY!
You must be running to make it 60 miles in two days with an uphill grade and take side trips.

Another great day on trail.
Nice campsite.
Agree about the music
You're really going to have to learn to poop in the woods and not rely on a privy. Otherwise, this is going to be an uncomfortable trip for you.😁

Music is annoying,
Should never hike alone.
The AT is a very safe and social trail with over 1,000 people completing the trail every year solo.
