Great content. As someone who has beaten the crashlanded scenario in insane chaos, I wish I had some of these tips before. It would have made my life easier and not lose some survivors.

Thanks, many good tips here, 1 year later and not that many updates that changes much. Now I already do many of them, along some I do my way. I would have placed beds/sleeping on each end of a storage row (2 tiles). I start with 6 shacks (9x4 tiles) open in both long ends. The sleeping spots I place in the mid row, does not block access to storage, often have it up by night on first or second day. Then later on extend with a row of 3 more shacks and put in beds. Start with a small wood/stone house/room with flat roof for building up 2 floors with bedrooms (3x7 and a 3 wide hallway), along a storage room if needed. Ground floor size main room ends up around 15x7 with balcony on short ends, then a freezer room 15x3 with 2-3 Air Conditioner, uses much less power and el-materials than many fridges/freezers. Can extend that storage room to 15x6 if really want to store a lot of perishables, but rater put it upstairs and move non-perishable stuff there. Can see an example of base layout at the Discord of the game section screenshot. Will add the newest version soon.
An early bug-defend can be two rows of fences 3 tiles wide with a small "box" at one end, with fence gates, one open, and some traps at the other end. Let all stand at the gate end to get thebug path finding to work, where the4 ranged stand ground and the melee rush forward and take out as they come, non-trapped inside first.

You make it look so easy. Great tips overall! How did you come up with the size of your fields? How do you estimate that?

Hi, thank you! It looks easy because it is easy :) Everything in game has a solution, and it's an interesting challenge to find the asnwer.
You estimate the fields size while playing. I did it right after my first ever run. I noticed the amount of raw resources that left unused and the resources that were lacking. So that's how you make notes "I need 50% less cotton, 70% less buttermelons, 10% more grain". Less fields means less time walking and working, so saves a lot of time too and make you gain more progress in game overall.
48 tiles of clothblossom are too much btw :)

Great tips. I like how you micro-managed the fights. Didn't know you can bait, kite and use melee fighters like that. Always assumed the mob will switch to the nearest melee target (like usual RPG aggro rules). Any tips for fighting those hummingflies? They are very difficult and you can't lure/kite. Thanks!

Hi, thank you very much! Yeah, in Stranded the bugs will go for their target only, but any moment they can switch it (I assume that happens if someone dealt a lot or critical damage). So it's not as simple as "lure it out of the crowd, kill, rinse and repeat". As for flyers, they can be killed the same way. Better use pistol, they are one shot (use your aim wisely). They won't follow you if you shoot them and run away, at some point they'll stop chasing and go back. You can use this to kill as many as you can. Use snipergun or bow to lure, those are longest ranged weapons, give you enough distance for running away (kiting). All these tips are for early game and for killing the wave before they attack. Later game use roofed space with the gaps to shoot (windowed rooms, shelters) and laser turrets and mechs. Those tips can be found on the official discord.
