Many times I see ppl in my neighborhood I don't recognize I take pics! I don't care what race they are! My neighborhood is totally mixed with many races & religions! It’s cool . I will pay attention to this tips . Especially the one about uncertified workers bc i live in an apartment and the chance of being brake in is almost none. The front of the building is watched by cameras and has a double doorway stage and the back and both sides are surrounded by old houses in villages so it means that the robbers would need to brake into this ones first so i am literally in a fortress lol but uncertified workers are the only chace to a sudden robbery. Thsnks for the tip ..

This video brings up something I thought about and have heard about that people should be aware of too. If you buy high-ticket items, such as computers, laptops, TVs, etc. Make sure that you remove and discard any RFID tags from the device (which are usually put there by the store for inventory management and loss prevention). It is possible for someone to scan for such tags while outside your home and if you use wi-fi for your TV or tablet or whatever, change it to something where some cannot identify what type of device (or brand) it is. For example, Samsung TVs will often have a device ID (on a wireless network) as "Samsung..." and something similar, identifying the brand of the device and sometimes the model of the device. If you can, change these IDs to something more vague, like TV or something else completely that doesn't give away what the device is (at least if it's generic, potential house watchers are less likely to know the value of the device). Now this obviously isn't 100% fool proof but something to think about.
You heard about something that isn't true. RFID tags can only be read from a short distance (inches) away, and have nothing to do with your WiFi network. They are used as inventory control at the store. Nothing more. They do not show up on your WiFi at all, much less as devices.
#9 - snapping photos: SO many times I've asked people why they are taking photos in the neighborhood and the response is "I'm a real estate agent; I'm allowed". I ask which house they are selling or buying and one of three things happen: they leave in a hurry, they get defensive or tell me it is none of my business - all red flags. 1) It gives the honest realtors a bad name, and 2) it shows that it pays to know what your neighbors are planning so that the neighborhood remains a safe place. (No one says you have to pry or be best buddies, just be aware.) I try to unobtrusively get a license plate number and/ or pix of the vehicle or person from a distance and report it. We live in a small town area, so it is easy enough to check with the agencies as to who may be photographing the neighborhood for sales purposes. The BIGGEST problem is that so many of the houses aren't truly homes but are short-term rentals. It's hard to keep watch in that kind of neighborhood, but the dogs let us know when strangers - people, dogs or cats - are around! (#7)
My parents received an alert about residential burglaries on the Next 🚪 app that's programmed into their 📱s. They don't like it when someone watches their 🏠, because it's NOT 👌🏻 to snoop inside of this location that provides shelter and warmth for the 3️⃣ of us. This makes all of us feel uncomfortable. 👍🏻 if you strongly agree, BRIGHT SIDE.
We got broken into in 2017. It was 12pm, and we had the random people walking by, random men putting random leaflets into our door, cars we haven’t seen before parking across the road, and just weird behaviour. If something feels wrong, don’t brush it off- it could end up like us. They didn’t rob the Tv or any technology, just jewellery, and no, not a wealthy household at all. They definitely watched us in and out the house, and saw that we were gone. Broke through the front door with a crowbar. Our neighbor was home and she said she didn’t hear anything. (Semi detached house). They left the house in a mess, and the feeling of someone invading your home and stealing is so unsettling, we couldn’t sleep. We changed the locks and everything, but we wish we had security cameras. Be safe people. Better safe than sorry.
0:50 This actually happened when SurfLink was installing fast internet in our area and a utility truck was parked by our yard and our neighbor's yard. It stayed there from that morning to I guess tomorrow, so like, this thing was staying for 1 day. It was weird. At night, my mom along with Mark, were investigating the vehicle but I guess nobody was there. Later, cops moved the truck.
My dog sits in my front window overlooking the entire street and barks at everything even leafs! So our neibours don't expect anything but they don't know that In my dads house we have a gate and you can easily get through the hedge
I have a cockatiel. One night I was sleeping and my cockatiel suddenly started screaming, flapping its wings and making a lot of noise. I wondered what it meant, because cockatiels aren’t really noisy birds in general and it doesn’t really have any reason to scream in the middle of the night. I checked our windows, it turned out that there was a person lurking in our house trying to get in! I scared the stranger off, threatening to call the police and he never came back.
A year ago there was a robber breaking into my house But.. They didn't stole anything but they killed my dog (husky) :( We tell the police but they didnt do anything about it
