    Is there another way I can do the speed ramp without using command left click because my command key doesn’t work on my keyboard

    • @petersarellas
      @petersarellas  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you want to do a sudden change of speed you could place cuts to isolate a section of your clip then reduce the speed of just that part, though I’d recommend getting a new keyboard if at all possible because a lot of shortcuts use the command key

    Maybe I missed it, what did you do with the adjustment layer on this?

    • @petersarellas
      @petersarellas  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I placed the adjustment layer overtop of the area where the two clips meet, then when I added effects to the adjustment layer they impacted the clips below it which created the transition. I did it this way because it is easy to save the effects on the adjustment layer as a preset and copy the adjustment layer to quickly apply that transition across your video if you’d like.

    what's the song title?

  • @westonpixel
    @westonpixel 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hey Peter, this question may be addressed in another video of yours but I haven't came across it yet: Why exactly do you set the sequence to 24fps for IG when you recorded at 60-120 fps in camera? I have attempted to do this with some football clips but the 60-120fps seems to be a lot smoother and visually appealing on the clips I use. Is there some secret sauce associated with making the sequence 24fps for IG?

    • @petersarellas
      @petersarellas  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Eli, I do this because when I set my sequence to 24fps I can slow down footage in 60 or 120fps to 24fps equivalent. That means I can get 120fps slowed down to 20% speed on a 24fps timeline (24/120=0.2) where as if I film and edit on a sequence in the same frame rate then I won’t be able to slow my footage.
