Hi, just thought I'd say this as someone who's just finished year 13: year 12: - don't feel like you have to use all of your frees to do work; I used about half of them (a little more if I had assessments coming up), as long as you're getting the homework done on time and doing a couple of hours of revision (per week) for each subject you'll be all good - MAKE REVISION NOTES AS YOU GO!!!! Waiting until the end of a topic will cause sooooo much stress, either do the notes after each lesson or at the end of a week, it'll feel stupid only making like 5 revision cards but if you wait until the topic is finished you'll need to make like 80! - don't feel guilty for not revising as much as others/ using your frees differently- we all work in different ways and as long as you're doing your best it's fine - KEEP YOUR FOLDERS/ BINDERS ORGANISED (it's in capitals as my yr 12 self didn't do this and my yr 13 self hated her for it) - look in the library before you buy textbooks or study guides they'll probably have them year 13: - use more frees than in yr 12 but don't feel bad for using some for downtime and de-stressing - if your stressed go to study support (your college should have this) or speak to a councilor if you feel the stress is really bad (again should be available in college) - re-read your set texts from year 12 (if your subjects have them) - again keep your stuff organised and make notes as you go - make the most of the college facilities like the library; especially when studying - don't cram; A-levels are pretty much impossible to cram for, spread out your revision General: - don't be afraid to ask for help (whether that be from teachers or classmates) - you don't need to study 24/7 - you might not find 'your people' right away but that doesn't mean you won't - you don't have to put up with sh*t from people, it isn't like high school where there's a very clear hierarchy, if you feel you're being treated unfairly you are (or are almost) an adult, write the person an email or bring it up with someone else and get things straight, people (especially staff) shouldn't be causing you stress
Study SMART! No matter if it seems impossible, no matter if it takes time, no matter if you have to up all night. Just remember that the feeling of success is the best thing in entire world ^o^
Staying up all night is not studying smart, just saying. Success is great, but being a perfectionist who sacrifices their health and mental well-being for a good grade is the stupidest thing you can do.
im really happy that youtubers are now focusing on products that are practical and not super expensive aesthetic things, it helps a lot with consumer behaviour. thank you ᵔ ᴥ ᵔ
as someone who’s stressing like hell about year 12, your videos make me feel so much better, just the calm vibes motivate me to keep going and that everything will be fine in the end :)
I’ve just finished my a levels and starting uni soon! I studied English, media studies & art and honest tips are make memories with the people and make the most of studying 3 subjects you enjoy/ even through the more stressful periods. Always put yourself above your grades, I lacked caring for my mental health each week, try not to completely immerse yourself (especially with time- consuming coursework) . Lotta love :))
Your videos have inspired me to start my revision already, as I started Year 11 on Thursday. They're so helpful and I'm like binge watching all your study videos so thank you so so so so soooooooo much!!!! 🥳🎊
Hello can you make a video I mean vlog that advice the students when they get tired when they study and can you please advise me to what I'm gonna do to more learn English and don't me give up ..💖💕❣️ I love your vlog's I'm sorry I'm not good in English ✌️✌️
i've been watching ur youtube channel for a long time and it seems i have feelings for u. i see you have a good personality, so.. do u want to know me more?
Here are all my tips and advice that I have accumulated from all my years of high school (I am a senior this year): 1. this Is my biggest tip: NOT ALL SUBJECTS WILL WORK WITH YOUR STUDYING TECHNIQUE AND THE SAME TECHNIQUE WONT ALWAYS WORK FOR THE SAME SUBJECT!!!! This is genuinely the biggest thing I learned in high school. It is CRUCIAL to understand that, for example, just because writing notes and memorizing works for one subject doesn't mean it will work for another. Also, what worked last year for, let's say English, may NOT work this year. I suggest experimenting with studying techniques and methods. 2. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, IM PRACTICALLY BEGGING YOU, PLEASE PUT ASIDE TIME FOR YOURSELF!!! I have an awful habit of letting myself go because I believed that I needed to put 110% into studying but what ended up happening was my mental health and physical health plummeted. What I suggest doing is buying a planner and roughly planning out the things you'll do in a day for school in a time slot of 4/5 hours after school. Then, after that time slot, be strict and drop everything you are doing and take the rest of the day for yourself. I understand that some days it may not be practical or easy to stop at a specific time and its ok to let it slide sometimes if you need it, but for the majority of the time, try to adhere to a study and personal schedule. 3. Its PERFECTLY OKAY AND VALID TO SAY NO TO SOMEONE WHO WANTS TO COPY YOUR WORK!!! Coming from someone who always wants to help, I faced a lot of people taking advantage of me and using my homework/notes to answer their homework/questions/or study simply because I couldn't say no. Of course, if a classmate needed help with homework because she had circumstances that prevented them from doing their work, then definitely give a helping hand. But if someone is simply slacking off since they know you might help them, then say no, no need to be rude, just a simple "no". Or if you feel uncomfortable saying no, try saying something along the lines of "I'm not sure if my work is correct", "I'm still working on it and it will take me time to figure it out", or "what questions do you need help with? I can try to explain how to solve them if you'd like that." 4. While studying is important, it shouldn't be your only focus. Sign up and join the team! Join that club you always found interesting! Volunteer and help out your community! Go on that date! While high school is an important time to get you GPA up, it's also the only time you can enjoy and live your teenage years so go out and experience life but also have balance and submit your assignment on time. Everything in moderation.
Hi, just thought I'd say this as someone who's just finished year 13:
year 12:
- don't feel like you have to use all of your frees to do work; I used about half of them (a little more if I had assessments coming up), as long as you're getting the homework done on time and doing a couple of hours of revision (per week) for each subject you'll be all good
- MAKE REVISION NOTES AS YOU GO!!!! Waiting until the end of a topic will cause sooooo much stress, either do the notes after each lesson or at the end of a week, it'll feel stupid only making like 5 revision cards but if you wait until the topic is finished you'll need to make like 80!
- don't feel guilty for not revising as much as others/ using your frees differently- we all work in different ways and as long as you're doing your best it's fine
- KEEP YOUR FOLDERS/ BINDERS ORGANISED (it's in capitals as my yr 12 self didn't do this and my yr 13 self hated her for it)
- look in the library before you buy textbooks or study guides they'll probably have them
year 13:
- use more frees than in yr 12 but don't feel bad for using some for downtime and de-stressing
- if your stressed go to study support (your college should have this) or speak to a councilor if you feel the stress is really bad (again should be available in college)
- re-read your set texts from year 12 (if your subjects have them)
- again keep your stuff organised and make notes as you go
- make the most of the college facilities like the library; especially when studying
- don't cram; A-levels are pretty much impossible to cram for, spread out your revision
General:
- don't be afraid to ask for help (whether that be from teachers or classmates)
- you don't need to study 24/7
- you might not find 'your people' right away but that doesn't mean you won't
- you don't have to put up with sh*t from people, it isn't like high school where there's a very clear hierarchy, if you feel you're being treated unfairly you are (or are almost) an adult, write the person an email or bring it up with someone else and get things straight, people (especially staff) shouldn't be causing you stress

@@alyailithyia right out of my mouth. Thank you!!
yes! but we must remember that it can harm mental health. take into account breaks, positivity, relax. the best grade is not everything
@@lilianamart4027 you're right! Not the "positivity " though. All feelings are valid
nah you’re wrong, staying up all night is unproductive and doesn’t do anything for you
i can’t belive summer holidays r over like it feels like yesterday we started xxxx
tell me about it!
Mine literally started 2 days ago and in 1 week classes start…. I hate it here
@@marianacardos0.672 wait what
@@marianacardos0.672 so you have like 2 weeks holidays? What?
@@tomatrix7525 yup….

We are not allowed to bring phones or earphones... but we can keep our phones in the security room until afterschool
