⚠️❗️⚠️ IMPORTANT update about my study room: I guess too many people tried to join, so all the features of the website stopped working like they were supposed to. Unfortunately, everyone who joined gained permission to move things around and delete whatever they wanted from the page. And some people used that ability to completely mess up the room, so there's nothing left of the page that I spent hours designing for you guys! 😭😭😭 Because of these circumstances, I had no choice but to close the study room (since basically nothing was left). I literally had a panic attack when I saw what happened because this really meant a lot to me. I'm very sad that we won't be able to be productive together in this study room & become study pals, but what happened was out of my control. Once the website fixes all the problems on their side and I have an extra 6-8 hours of free time to redesign everything, I might make the study room available again, but I'm really upset about what happened right now, so I can't promise anything. I'm SOOOO sorry about this! 😫😓 Love, Ellen

I missed her videos a lot. Finally she is back again. I used to watch her old videos to motivate myself. Finally a new video. Now I just stop procrastination and start my work. Thank you so much ellen
Here are some of my general tips as someone who has been a straight A+ student for years 1. It depends on the class and school but you don’t need to buy a notebook for every class you have, i usually get about 1-2 notebooks to fill out over the year but you know your classes better than I do. 2. You don’t need all this fancy stationery. I bought a small pack of pens and highlighters because I don’t like using pencils, lasted me the whole year. 3. If you have any trouble studying I would recommend listening to a study with me video. I would recommend the ones by Study to Success because they include breaks. 4. Have a snack/drink with you while studying, you will get hungry quickly and it saves time. 5. Finish assignments sooner than later. I procrastinate a lot but sometimes I finish assignments really early. It firstly gives you freetime and also doesn’t pile up over time. 6. Find some time for yourself. We all need a break, I use that time for my phone and playing with my dog for example. 7. Adapt to what you need. I see people giving out tips like “study in a quiet room” well what if you can’t? I personally need some type of noise to keep me focused. 8. If your gonna listen to music while studying, make sure it doesn’t distract you. It’s okay to bop to music just don’t go crazy lol 9. Before a test eat a little piece of dark chocolate, it helps brain function. And also it’s yummy (if you don’t like it you can do milk chocolate too just not sure if it helps) 10. Make sure your comfortable. 11. Be nice and friendly to your teacher, later on into the school year it makes your life easier. 12. Remember later on in school you will mostly be online. You don’t need a perfect schedule to study, you don’t need fancy stuff, all you need is some sort of motivation, a little snack, and a teacher to give you an assignment. c: (also uh keep in mind I don’t really “study” I just complete HW and assignments that let help me revise ig) it mostly comes naturally to me but I see a lot of people making mistakes when they study and here are my observations c:
Okay now THIS is the type of study tips that I needed. All of these study channels on TH-cam say to "Study in a quiet place" and "Buy aesthetic stationery" buy they never think that some people just don't have the same priorities as them. And most of the time they use an iPad, which is something that I most definitely can't afford. I think your comment is really underrated and it deserves a lot more likes, because you're giving real study tips 🙂
Seriously, i have to share a room with my sister and i can't use our desk to study because she decided that the desk is the best place for her to keep her computer. It's not like she's not doing anything, she's doing digital art because she followed arts but it would be nice if we had another desk for me to use :/
Same, my desk is near the living room and my family is too loud, so I can't avoid noise distractions. I have to share my room with my sibling too and there is no desk. 🤦♀️
6 MIDDLE SCHOOL TIPS IF ANYONE CARES: 1. If you are nervous on the first day and are worried about not knowing where to go just ask the teachers. Most teachers are outside of the classrooms helping kids. Most teachers like helping you anyway. 2. Be nice to the teachers and build a good relationship with them. They can help you can give you useful tips on school. Also if you have a younger sibling, you could set a bad image for them. 3. Don’t worry about boys/girls.Your young and aren’t ready for a relationship ship. Most couples don’t last for a week. Also some relationships could lead to drama. 4. Don’t try to be popular and cool. Now I’m not saying popular people or bad or anything but i know people who got made fun of in school for trying to be popular. 5. Don’t be insecure about pimples, acne, being overweight , or skinny. There are many people like you who feel the same way. 6. Lastly if you are a girl, bring an emergency sanitary bag. You never know if you or one of your friends are going through that time of the month! (Also bring tissues. Trust me) Hope this helps! ❤
@@stvrlight792 whoa that’s nice..I’m doing well, nothing is same as 8th grade and studies have started getting stressful but I’m trying my best. Wishing you luck for 9th

My School Year Goals... 1 Minimize screen time 2 Keep my Bag Organized 3 Try not to pack my books right before going to school but do it before sleeping 4 (As u said) do all my assignment during the weekdays to completely be free on weekends 5 Go through my notes every day and complete them on time 6 Try using revision guides all the time 7 Try not to share my study resources with anyone 8 Keep my GPA above 3.5 9 Workout regularly and keep myself fit 10 Study for my tests 2 days in advance ... That's all, will update if there are any other goals I want to set
@@ariaxuu8107 It was surprisingly not that bad although I think I could do better. I'm pinning my hopes on this year since IGCSE is a very important exam.... let's go 2024!!!
@@randomthings1927 since I'm taking PE as an IGCSE subject so I need to do alot of fitness training. So I run for at least 10 minutes a day. I haven't been doing any leg workouts since I get really tired but I am planning to start. So these are the leg workouts I'm planning to do 50 squats 50 sumo squats 50 side by sides 50 forward lunges Im also on my journey to get rid of belly fat so here you go 2 minutes of crunches 2 minutes of bicycle crunches 2 minutes of roll leg raises ( first make your legs in a 90 degree position while lying down and then make them straight, and bring them down while being straight. You're supposed to feel the burn in your lower abdominals) 2 minutes of leg raises ( raise your legs straight up in a 180-degree position and put them back down in that same position. You're supposed to feel the burn in your lower abdominals) 2 minutes of leg lift crunch (Legs facing upwards and crunch in that same position. If its hard, try holding your legs up with your hands and crunch) 2 minutes of a Plank hip twist (Keep your body in a plank position and just move your hips from side to side) 2 minutes of waist twists or Russian twists Yu're supposed to do these for 2 minutes straight or 4 30-second sessions with a 5 to 10 second break in the middle of each session for at least 7 days for you to start seeing results. Ive been doing these for 4 days and I'm already starting to see results so do give it a try! I know its a lot. Trust me, Im also struggling a lot, but try to stay resilient and we can achieve all our fitness goals. PEACE!!
My goals for this school year: 1. To work smart and in different environments like the library or a cafe or a shop that can help me be inspiring and motivated to work on my assignments and craft. 2. To do study breaks in between each assignment since I tend to lose focus quite easily. 3. To take work feedback seriously because I tend to let whatever the person is telling me go over my head, and work on getting better grades.
My goals: 1) Complete all homework assignments during the weekdays 2) Achieve a 4.0 GPA for this semester (and really, all semesters for this school year) 3) Learn a more efficient study method 4) Apply the skills I learn to my own business
1. Get your life together Me: Well, I failed already, damn (Tip: With old notes, I like to scan them and keep them in a document on my laptop. Any notes I don't need, I delete or throw away. I've noticed this helps keep me less stressed out about clutter or losing notes when I need them)
My goals for my first year of collage are to finish all my assignments on week days, finish and submit any assignment 24 hrs before...(like yours basically) put myself first before others. I am worthy of the opportunities coming my way, and put my mental health before anything
Finally she is back I am tensed to go to school but Ellen is inspiring me a lot tq Ellen Kelly keep videos regularly when ur free and we r happy that u came back
Honestly guys, I've always being quite terrible at getting organized but since I have two weeks off, I’m trying to use this break to be a better student, so this will really help. Thanks a bunch, Ellen! 🥰Plus, here I share some extra tips that have pushed me up over this time... 1- Take care of your habits: This might sound cliché, I know but it’s really true, once we develop a habit, it’s fairly possible that it will have a huge impact in our lifestyle, so being wise on which habits we want and which don’t is a great ally in our studies that can boost us or limit us. 2- Balanced your time: Another common one but useful too. Knowing how you spend your time and on what things, is key to learn to use the 24 hours of the day as you want. This way we'll eventually prevent tons of stress due to deadlines, projects, exams and so on… therefore, there won’t be any excuses to move forward. 3- Put your goals in sight: This one may seem pretty obvious, however, we sometimes can forget our purposes or be lazy or unmotivated enough to not fulfilled them, so you can try to put them in a visible space where you can see them every day. 4- Review your progress: I really believe that it's great to check our own academic progress over periods of time to see how we're doing in general. For example, I personally do a little learning reflection on the last day of the month to figure out what actually works for me, what doesn't and what I can improve, stuff like that…
5- Figure out different study methods: I guess learning can be a fun and growing journey if we know how we learn better, so looking for some study methods is a great idea to improve your learning. Don’t forget that the way you study is as important as the time you spend studying, in that case, I truly recommend that you use space repetition method in your study sessions, remember that every day you get something new to learn, so it's important to study regularly. The key is diversity! 6- Think big: As teenagers, we might not care much about this, but seriously thinking about what we really want to do and what we need to make it happen is just as important as our studies, so yeah, it’s worth working to develop a growth mindset. It will help a lot in your decisions. “The more organized you are, the less stress you are going to be” I loved this! Literally, this is a true fact that will save your lives. For sure, you don’t need to do all of these things to boost your academic performance just the ones that work for you. 👍

if you want to fix your sleep schedule, you can’t just change your bedtime from 2am to 9pm. You need to slowly change it. Try sleeping 10-30 minutes earlier than yesterday. Before you know it, your sleep schedule will be fixed!!
@Vıtto ◜w◝ awww that comment is so cute, thanks dear! First of all I’m a teacher in Germany (I’m telling this as I am just experienced with the german school system, but I think there is not that big of a difference when it comes to be motivated). I’m telling you my advice of the perspective of a teacher: 1. most important thing: SHOW the teacher that you WANT to learn; how you can do this? Sometimes the teacher asks something and you can’t give a reply? No problem! But show your teacher that you still work and that you are willing to learn in class. We teachers are just human too and you can go to your teacher after the lesson and tell them that you are really motivated to learn and even though you can’t answer the questions sometimes you are still trying your best in class. There is nothing better than talking to your teacher after class. Even if you make mistakes in your exam, your teacher will be good minded and will try to ,rescue’ your exam. We in Germany don’t have multiple choice tests, so there is always a way for us to get the students some points IF we see that our student did his best! 2. Have a good relationship with your teachers. Doesn’t mean you have to be best friends with them, but just smile and say good morning and good bye every time (you won’t believe me how much this affects us- it’s so simple- they can’t help themselves but like you) (I’ll write another comment wait)
@Vıtto ◜w◝ Now let us talk with the stuff you do at home: 3. A successful student is not an intelligent student but a hard working student. So a good student needs to organise himself. Make a schedule for when you want to learn something. As an example: you have an English test in two weeks. A successful student will always start learning at least one week for the test. An unsuccessful student will learn 2 days before the test. Don’t learn for 4 hours a day, learn every day for about an half to 1 hour, you WILL be successful because your brain trains for one week constantly. 4. Learn efficiently!!! What does that mean? So ask the teacher WHAT is the test ABOUT? Which type of tasks or question will appear in the test/exam? Ask your teacher to give you an example of a test question. You will have a feeling for the type of task in your actual exam.
@Vıtto ◜w◝ I know you don’t want to hear this but successful people are successful because they work soooo hard. They will spend so many hours and hours of studying, so you have to understand, if you want to have an A you really really have to spend a lot of time studying. I know it’s annoying to hear because it seems obvious but sometimes we underestimate the difficulty of a test. As an example: to become a teacher in Germany you have to take an state examination (hardest exam in Germany). I spend weeks of learning, it was so common to me not to sleep but to learn. Of course you don’t have to do this, this is not normal and I’m older than you, but you have to understand that sometimes we need to work hard. 5. What is your goal? Why do you WANT to have good grades??? I mean you could have bad grades and still be a student in your school right? But what is your goal? What good thing will happen in your life if you get a good grade? Always tell yourself WHY you are doing this. As an example I worked hard to be a good teacher but also to get a good job, cause in Germany the schools always look at the grades of a teacher. That’s why I worked hard, to have a good job and to earn money. What do you want to do with your good grades? Shall I tell you? You will be so proud!!! Cause nothing tastes better to work hard and earn a good grade 😍😍😍
@Vıtto ◜w◝ there are so many things that I did wrong in your age. Believe me when I was a student I wasn’t that good. But I changed with the time as I learned to work harder on myself. Something that helped me were TH-cam videos about studying. It’s not about using beautiful stationery but about the way people learn. Also, it motivates you a lot. Maybe you will learn better with something learning with you? Test yourself and find a way that you can study well. As an example I can study sooooo great in the library. The library gives me an atmosphere of studying, but some people will learn better at home. Just try yourself in different places and find your best way of studying. Or find yourself a partner who learns with you. If you have another questions you can ask me anytime 😘😘 sorry if I wrote something wrong, English is not my first language!
My #1 tip: Have your desk nice and neat, ready for you to work at. It just somehow works for me; if I see a nice clean workspace or something dedicated to something I just have to go do whatever I gotta do; it’s like how I’m more interested in reading ebooks on a dedicated Kindle instead of an iPad (and not just because Kindle is more suitable). So, just keep everything neat.
I just started middle school about a week ago, and I'm already loosing motivation lol. Genuine thanks for this video Ellen, a lot or resources you linked are really helping :)
Like basically, I started my school online for this semester in April and right now I will be going to physical school this September!! I am really excited about that and hope I could continue physical schooling until the end of the year.
I start my first year of higher secondary school next month. This video really motivated me to prepare for my new year. I am nervous yet excited as I'm moving to a new school. I hope it'll be a wholesome year with new experiences and memories and people.

Ur music for focusing has really helped me till today!! Thank u very much for the calming music.. i am still listening to while typing this message for you 😀😀
My goals are. 1. Finish schoolwork on time so I will have more freetime and get better grades. 2. Strive to have perfect attendance. 3. Try to get the best grades you can.
perfect attendance can be affected by being sick + vacation days. Atleast that was at my school. Like for example my school was annoyed by the fact I was sick and they said, "13 days is too much, send your child to school or else we will have to fine you!" keep in mind that when seasons change I get allergies immediately, only time is summer when that doesn't happen so we were split into trimesters and when it was 2nd month of each trimester I would be sick for like 9 days or more. So my grade dropped just for something out of my control. So I tried to get the best grade I can but I couldn't because of allerjesus. I hope that my school understands this. IT IS OUT OF MY CONTROL SO WHY SHOULD MY GRADE GO DOWN?!
Maintain a good sleep schedule Maintain a proper study area Maintain a good phone storage Maintain a playlist of songs Maintain realistic goals Maintain physical as well as digital files Maintain a good relation with your study buddy Maintain your stationary by buying new things for new session Maintain a planning system Maintain a digital friendship zone with studious person Maintain a revision strategy before starting school again
✨ SOME TIPS FROM ME!! ✨ 1 • SET ALARMS!! Set alarms for basic stuff like waking up, going to sleep, studying, homework, etc etc. I find these really useful in keeping my daily life on track!! 2 • Organization is useful! Doing stuff like cleaning your room and desk can not only be really rewarding, but helpful in staying focused! 3 • DO NOT LET TIME GET AWAY FROM YOU! Going back to 1, I also recommend setting snooze alarms (alarms 15 minutes or so after the main alarm) ESPECIALLY for waking up and going to sleep! I might update this later, feel free to screenshot this :D
If you need help remembering everything from the day I recommend getting a day planner or even using a small notebook to write down all the assignments you do throughout the day. it'll also help you organize your notes
Finally, Ellen is back I missed her videos a lot Super motivating video to watch when you are unmotivated or lazy Now I feel productive Thank you for the video And I have online classes which started since June
I am starting college on September 6th (My birthday T_T). I took the majority online and just one in person. I work from 9-5pm so it is easier for me to study online and take classes at night. It is my first time working and studying at the same time, so I wanna organize my life and do it. It'll be difficult but I know I can do it! Thank you very much for the tips
Last September we went back to school after missing 6 months, we barely had proper online school and on top of that we missed an extra 3 months during Christmas. I'm not blaming anyone else but myself for going down a set (I was in set 1 for everything and now I'm in set 2 for maths and English :[ ). But I'm determined to do well this year, I can't flop this year, I finally feel motivated and confident enough to give school a chance so let's hope it's worth it! 🥲
Yayyyy!!!! 🥳🥳 So happy to see you back, Ellen. I was waiting so badly for your video since last six months. And finally here it is. I really wanna thank you cuz you literally motivates me. Just wanna say that don't take too much pressure, we can wait, mental health is really important. Have a great day ahead.. And finally you have graduated. Thank you so much for being there..🥰🥰💖💜
I did a review before Covid happened for geometry (bc I wasn’t so confident in that class) and kept a review sheet with me during class and it made it so much easier when classes started bc I could reference back on MY OWN notes and tricks🥰
@@peach_lightbulb1148 Yes! Look up geometry review and watch the 1 hour ones. They really explain every concept and show examples. Everything from angles and terms and why shapes are shapes. It had more information than my actual class
I'm glad there's this video to help me prepare for my upcoming 7th grade. I'm aware that there's still around a month left, so I do not want to waste my precious time. I've been revising from the start of the summer and my habits are fixed, but I still couldn't organize everything that well. Then I saw this video and got the motivation to do everything. Although I have some additional things that particularly works well for me such as music with lyrics in some ways, I wouldn't have my space and studies organized this well.

As someone who got straight A's for as long as I remember here are my tips
1- your social life and school life are seperate things! Make sure your giving time for both and aren't spending all your time with friends or all your time studying, remember balance is the key
2- Don't let things pile up, I've been there and I know it seems easier to do it later than do it right now but know that eventually you will have to do it. When you see more than 1 late assignment, start working. It isn't a lot but it can turn into a lot
3- Prioritise mental health too
4- Don't just rely on Google Calendar if you know you won't ever open the app. I like printing out my schedule and pinning it up somewhere in my room.
5- Finally, don't be too hard on yourself, you will make it through and get there eventually
Thanks alot for the advise I really need this as I'm slacking alot in school

Hi army
@@sanikascreativity 💜
Hi army, do you hear any other band
@@anikasvlogs4908 yeah i do :) one direction, blackpink, twice, itzy, etc. but i stan bts the most
Ok
Here are some of my general tips as someone who has been a straight A+ student for years
It’s okay to bop to music just don’t go crazy lol
9. Before a test eat a little piece of dark chocolate, it helps brain function. And also it’s yummy (if you don’t like it you can do milk chocolate too just not sure if it helps)
@@potterhead9978 omg your so sweet, I was unsure if my tips were good or not c:.
@@lolitasfake your tips are amazing, and I will start using them in autumn, when my new school year starts :D

If I could just have my own room and a neat study place then I could be at ease
Seriously, i have to share a room with my sister and i can't use our desk to study because she decided that the desk is the best place for her to keep her computer. It's not like she's not doing anything, she's doing digital art because she followed arts but it would be nice if we had another desk for me to use :/
Same, my desk is near the living room and my family is too loud, so I can't avoid noise distractions. I have to share my room with my sibling too and there is no desk. 🤦♀️
I have to share one room with my 2 siblings

6 MIDDLE SCHOOL TIPS IF ANYONE CARES:
Trust me)
Hope this helps! ❤

How did ur school year go 🫶
@@ariaxuu8107 It was surprisingly not that bad although I think I could do better. I'm pinning my hopes on this year since IGCSE is a very important exam.... let's go 2024!!!
What workouts are u doing and what are your goals? I’ve been wanting to get rid of my belly fat but don’t really know how to
@@randomthings1927 since I'm taking PE as an IGCSE subject so I need to do alot of fitness training. So I run for at least 10 minutes a day.
I haven't been doing any leg workouts since I get really tired but I am planning to start. So these are the leg workouts I'm planning to do
50 squats
50 sumo squats
50 side by sides
50 forward lunges
Im also on my journey to get rid of belly fat so here you go
2 minutes of crunches
2 minutes of bicycle crunches
2 minutes of roll leg raises ( first make your legs in a 90 degree position while lying down and then make them straight, and bring them down while being straight. You're supposed to feel the burn in your lower abdominals)
2 minutes of leg raises ( raise your legs straight up in a 180-degree position and put them back down in that same position. You're supposed to feel the burn in your lower abdominals)
2 minutes of leg lift crunch (Legs facing upwards and crunch in that same position. If its hard, try holding your legs up with your hands and crunch)
2 minutes of a Plank hip twist (Keep your body in a plank position and just move your hips from side to side)
2 minutes of waist twists or Russian twists
Yu're supposed to do these for 2 minutes straight or 4 30-second sessions with a 5 to 10 second break in the middle of each session for at least 7 days for you to start seeing results. Ive been doing these for 4 days and I'm already starting to see results so do give it a try!
I know its a lot. Trust me, Im also struggling a lot, but try to stay resilient and we can achieve all our fitness goals.
PEACE!!
why not share study resources?
My goals for this school year:
My goals:
1) Complete all homework assignments during the weekdays
2) Achieve a 4.0 GPA for this semester (and really, all semesters for this school year)
3) Learn a more efficient study method
4) Apply the skills I learn to my own business

OMG I can't believe my eyes our queen is finally came back to our heart again. Love you so much Ellen

I’m a teacher 😆 I don’t know why I watch this but I love the aesthetics!!! Your stationery is gorgeous
@Vıtto ◜w◝ awww that comment is so cute, thanks dear! First of all I’m a teacher in Germany (I’m telling this as I am just experienced with the german school system, but I think there is not that big of a difference when it comes to be motivated). I’m telling you my advice of the perspective of a teacher:
1. most important thing: SHOW the teacher that you WANT to learn; how you can do this?
Doesn’t mean you have to be best friends with them, but just smile and say good morning and good bye every time (you won’t believe me how much this affects us- it’s so simple- they can’t help themselves but like you)
(I’ll write another comment wait)
@Vıtto ◜w◝
Now let us talk with the stuff you do at home:
If you have another questions you can ask me anytime 😘😘 sorry if I wrote something wrong, English is not my first language!
thenkew for your tips teacher
My #1 tip:
Have your desk nice and neat, ready for you to work at.

My goals are.
1. Finish schoolwork on time so I will have more freetime and get better grades.
2. Strive to have perfect attendance.
3. Try to get the best grades you can.
hey d you knw what website that is at 1:57 xx
perfect attendance can be affected by being sick + vacation days.
I’m starting school in September and thank god it’s finally in person😩

✨ SOME TIPS FROM ME!! ✨
1 • SET ALARMS!!

I’m starting school November and it’s in person I really love your video❤
I hope to as well
I am starting college on September 6th (My birthday T_T). I took the majority online and just one in person. I work from 9-5pm so it is easier for me to study online and take classes at night. It is my first time working and studying at the same time, so I wanna organize my life and do it. It'll be difficult but I know I can do it! Thank you very much for the tips
oo wow even my birthday is on Sept 6
Oh cool my bsfs b day is on sep 6th too
Happy birthday!
@@shriyabnps3917 Happy Birthday 🎉✨ hope you have the best day! (I did my birthday party yesterday 😅)
@@sarina3629 Happy birthday to your friend!
Who else was refreshing the page cause you couldn't wait for her to post 😂
Me 😂😂
I'm moving to yr 6 ik I'm quite young but these videos help me soo much with stress❤ thankyou
Thank you so much for being there..🥰🥰💖💜
Girl you just earned a new subscriber. The way you explain ur easy study tips are really helpful 😊
I did a review before Covid happened for geometry (bc I wasn’t so confident in that class) and kept a review sheet with me during class and it made it so much easier when classes started bc I could reference back on MY OWN notes and tricks🥰
wow what were some basic things it had on it I think that's really useful and I want to make one too before I start geometry!
Oh my gosh you posted!!! This is just what I needed :) ilysm 💗💗
OMG!! You're back!! I've missed you so much! I am all prepared for school thanks to the video and your previous ones. You have made such a big difference in my life Ellen so thank you very much!!

I am going into my teen years but these are very helpful! Thanks Ellen
Hi, Ellen! As for me, my school year always starts on the first of September, so today is my second school day. In our school we have in-person classes and I love it, because I didn’t see my friends for ages! This year I chose history and social studies for my exams, because these subjects are really important and quite curious. Thank you for a such helpful video!
