There's a deep and beautiful message in this song. We see so many different types of approaches to Hanukkah, to Judaism, and to God here exemplified by the different characters: Kyle's innocent sincerity, Ike's being too young to understand but trying, Stans's apathy but mild interest and acceptance as a good Noahide, Sheila's authoritarian overbearingness, Dad's not even seeing the spirituality for all his worldliness, and even Cartman's horrible antisemitism. And you'd think that all of those voices would be a tuneless cacophony. And yet, under the orchestration of God, all of these voices - even the unpleasant, ignorant, and terrible ones - form a unified, intricate, highly intentional highly complex melody that builds inexorably towards the Redemption. That's God's Hand in Creation. I love this song, this particular version of it.

This song really captures the characters' personalities perfectly. For example Stan is known to be cynical and pessimistic and he sings about how he tries to make the dreidel spin, it falling and that he'll try again, whereas Cartman sings about how jews and their traditions are lame and Kyle is very happy to sing about his religion and the dreidel.

When I was in, like, 5th grade, (I don’t remember what class it was) the teacher was doing a presentation about different culture’s holiday traditions, and she played this video. Of course, the kids had no idea what this show was, so we were dancing and (trying) to sing along, but all of the parents (who were in the classroom, I don’t remember why) got pissed becuase, well, it’s South Park, and started yelling at the teacher. Me and my classmates had absolutely bo idea what was happening, and it was one of the funniest moments in my life.

This is bizarre...this song was stuck in my head literally 2hrs ago and now SP uploaded it just now
2:26 I love how when you focus on a specific character you can hear their verse
I can hear Stan Marsh.
Gerald is the quietest
YOUR RIGHT
@@inmyhand_ i can hear him the best wdym

@@LeilaGee I am the real Kyle.
I hope they put Mr Mackey Christmas song next.
Carol of the Bells?
Let's sing Christmas Carol M'kay?
M'kay
Kenny is the last infinity stone to this.
Took me so much swipes just to get to a comment that actually talks about Kenny, where the hell is he?
2:23 Kyle is cute here XD
I like how each character adds to the song. Kyle is the beats, Eric is the melody, Stan is the effects, and Kyle's mom and dad are the vocals
Edit: Everyone join the "what" chain in the comments, let's go for 50 comments
what

well kinda
Wow

Fun Fact:
Gerald Broflovski watches F•R•I•E•N•D•S only just to see Monica Geller (Courteney Cox).
This is one of my favorite songs South Park has ever done and so early in the series. Really shows off the guys song writing abilities. I can’t stop trying to sing all the parts
Stan and Kyle’s parts have been stuck in my head for days
1:26 Cartman's face here always cracks me up
THAT'S TRUE!
Damn we don’t get songs like that, maybe I will become Jewish
Father Maxi can I ask you something?
@@KaijudoSaberToothTiger what?

@@saladseller557 Do you know those TSA officers from Reverse Cowgirl episdoe?
They sang this at my daughter's little Christmas program. Had to come listen to the goated version. Also had to explain to my wife while I was laughing because Cartman's part was playing in my head.
3:05
WITH DREIDEL I SHALL
PLAYYYYYYYY
I love how Kyle yells the ending ❤
YESSS
Best version of the Dreidel song I’ve ever heard
its crazy how they can just break into his house and ask whats happening
3:09 Trey Parker Dancing With Himself
0:50 is the best part
*rare footage of Kyle being nice to cartman* 0:47
For about five seconds
BRO CARTMAN AND STAN BROKE IN I PROMISE YOU-
0:47 this is my first time seeing Kyle not insulting Eric
a few seconds later:
the best song of the christmas episode 😍👏
The best song is the one mr garrison sings
LOL 😂 😆 😝 LOL 😂 😆 😝 LOL 😂 😆 😝 LOL 😂 😆 😝 LOL 😆 😆 😝
Yes
Oh Holy Night by Cartman is a close second 😂
Cart men was the funniest part
When I was in, like, 5th grade, (I don’t remember what class it was) the teacher was doing a presentation about different culture’s holiday traditions, and she played this video. Of course, the kids had no idea what this show was, so we were dancing and (trying) to sing along, but all of the parents (who were in the classroom, I don’t remember why) got pissed becuase, well, it’s South Park, and started yelling at the teacher. Me and my classmates had absolutely bo idea what was happening, and it was one of the funniest moments in my life.
Kyle sings about the driedel
Kyle's mom sings about the driedel too
Stan sings about when it falls
Eric cartman sings about driedel is a stupid toy
Kyle's dad sings about country cox
And ike vibing to the music
"Country" Cox?
Ike sings about...
Ike just T poses
Spellckeck sucks
Worse part is the lady with that amazing voice commited suicide
that episode is now ( in the credits ) dedicated to her
god i love these kinds of songs. when people sing different parts and then they all mix together to make something epic. like that one fruitcake song. so cool
IKR
What's this fruitcake song?
@@djneonreaper4990 i'd also like to know
@@djneonreaper4990 search up Trinity Christmas Fruitcake Song

Not gonna lie kyles family is full of good singers
Sure is 😔
My favorite song from the Season 3 Christmas Special.
Mine is merry fucking Christmas XD
Hi mts
@@blackyoshigamer6288 same as well as this XD
imagine how hard this would be in real life, 5 people singing 5 different harmonies
Next time someone says South Park has no wholesome moments, show them this.
jews, play stupid games, jews, thats why the’re lame
technically there’s still cartman being antisemitic and gerald and sheila’s failing marriage but ur right it’s cute
The five-part heterophony of this song is amazing!
I like how everyone just ignores Cartman while singing lol
Suprised kyles mom didn’t yell “WHAAAAT!?” When cartman sung his part
