Ok, I had to go pull some evidence for Craig on this one. There's a very popular fan theory that Craig is adopted, and drawing him more tan usually goes along with this. South Park Studios even, which they NEVER have done otherwise, acknowledged this theory in 2016 on the website's blog. They also list the possibility of him being Peruvian/Incan in the blog post!! So it's not entirely unfounded if even the source material gives it a shout out. It's only grown as a popular theory since then. So drawing a little bit of mild variety to help distinguish characters in a reanimate is pretty common.
I like the way you can tell who is part of the "shipping children" part of the fandom and who is on the "jew joke" part of the fandom based on the art style
I saw so many of these tiny clips years ago when I was just a teenager, now I’m an adult in my third year of getting a bachelor degree in animation. And this is still the coolest thing ever and I had no idea it was a part of a bigger project.

@@Hysteriette Fat is a bit more complicated than "ball". It's rolls, layers of skin piled up and weighed down into a pear or triangle. The entire body is an uneven diamond if you put the feet in a neutral position. Just need to look up a reference for a child who's twice the weight they should be, you'll see that it's a bit more complicated than a ball.
It's funny how you can tell which animators know the series well by how they altered actual scenes from the episode... Butter's eye scar from when he got hit in the the with a ninja star, Gerald's dolphin form from when he got surgery, Craig randomly flipping people off...
8:28 xD the Captain Underpants style (at least thats what i assume it is) works way to damn well with South Park kudos to the artist who did that section that was great!
2:24 I love how this artstyle makes Cartman look like he’s brushed his teeth a few times in his life (and his hat looks moth-bitten) it just fits him well lol
Seeing the easter eggs to other episodes, popular memes being added, and the different animation sytles is just awesome to see all the work and tiny details you'll see and miss, and it makes this amazingly awesome to rewatch and find new things over and over again. Like Butters having a scar over his left eye in multiple scenes, Dolphin Gerald, and the Captain Underpants art style at 8:28! 😂 The whole team did an amazing job, and congratulations to everyone who participated in the making of it. This is awesome. 🤩

My favorite part of this IS THE EASTER EGGS FROM DIFFERENT EPISODES. The scar on butters eye after the shurikin in 1 scene, gerald becoming a dolphin for a scene. This is such a love letter to south park. I hope matt and trey see this!

The anime visual novel was one of the best parts. Loved the inclusion of some comic book style art too. Super unique. Haven’t seen that from other reanimated projects.
First Shrek retold, then SpongeBob rehydrated. We got Harry and the stone, and now this?! This whole creator recreation of my favorite IPs is the new best genre of content on this platform.
My personal favourite is the bartkira manga which, if you dont know it, is the entire akira manga redrawn in hundeds of creators' styles but with simpsons characters
Normally these can be hit or miss but this one was a slam dunk. A lot of appealing and interesting styles here. I like 10:56 in particular for how META it is.

For some reason a lot of artists (esp self taught ones) don't learn how to draw different body types when it comes to stylized art
