The fact that even after her passing Marylin’s spirit hasn’t been allowed to rest peacefully.
To this day people continue to read through her diaries, wear her clothing, touch and sell her personal things, and go through her homes. Her spirit is definitely not at peace what’s happened currently has made it even worse. It’s quite sad to watch.
@@DS-ch1np what is that supposed to mean?? what ariels oracle is saying is true. people don’t respect marylin or her things.
@@DS-ch1np its true tho? theyre objectifying her and dehumanizing her up to this day. its so sad she could never be left alone in peace
I'm sorry but this sounds utterly bogus, you're talking about her spirit turning for one or two people wearing her clothing like they were part of her being; plus she has been dead for over 50 years and she is an icon of course people would want to see where or how she lived, aren't there museums lottered about for the same purpose for famous people... I would also like to add that although reading her diary is an invasion of privacy, you don't see people saying the same thing for Anne Frank who had her diary published (if we put the same thing in her case shouldn't she be turning in her grave too?)
I don't see the big deal in someone wearing a big shot 's clothes especially if said bigshot only wore it for a day.
@@RedditNail well in Marilyn Monroe's case, it's different. She was harrased when she was alive and continued to be harassed even when she's dead. They literally have a piece of her hair and they gave it. Without her permission. Well ofc because she's dead. And that's the reason why giving her hair is bad, cos she's dead.

Exactly
Marilyn was famous for selling sex haedly call that a ralent either the only reason she's an icon is cause she did something no one else dared to cause of that time period being risky was not something people did
sickening...
she couldn't even come close...
Marilyn had more class in her pinky than KK will ever BUY in her whole life.
Yup, here to see the original icon after Kim K's latest shenanigans.
I know she was indeed known for being fashionably late & it was rehearsed but btw still creepy when he said "the late Marilyn Monroe" and less than three months later...RIP
He said “The lovely lady Marilyn Monroe”
@@MB-bi6nt nah he said late when she comes and stands beside him. it was a joke bc of her getting announced throughout the event before she was due to actually appear; you’ll see it if you watch a full clip and not this slightly abridged one
This whole singing Happy Birthday to President JFK was planned, they didn't show in the video that she rehearsed it a few days before the gala. Also Marilyn asked for a running gag of her being announced and taking too much time getting on stage. The late Marilyn Monroe line refers to her being late, not related to her impending passing.
@@ricardolopes9526 I know the story very well, still sounds weird though.

Her adorable little shuffle to the stage ❤️❤️❤️❤️
There's a huge backstory about Marilyn Monroe sing "Happy Birthday Mr. President" song, she did it live on stage at Madison Square Garden in 1962 10 day's prior to President Kennedy's (JFK)
45th. Birthday which was about 1-1/2 years before his assassination in Oct of 1963. It was a very sultry rendition of Happy Birthday song and there were rumors that (JFK) and Marilyn were having a on going affair, Mrs. Kennedy wasn't in attendance when it was song. It was the last major public event before Marilyn Monroe's death 3 months later, there was much speculation she died because of (JFK) staying with his wife. Y'all should look at the recording of Marilyn sing Happy Birthday Mr. President and give your own opinions to this event, there plenty of tapes on TH-cam.
He died toward the end of November..
It’s highly doubtful the fling with Kennedy really meant that much to her. Surely her fractured relationship with DiMaggio did more damage.
it's so sad that almost everything she ever truly owned for herself was sold off in auctions, instead of it being taken to a museum where people can only look and not touch, just like the dresses she wore for her iconic movies
Seeing this after Kim Kardashian wear this dress, is somewhat unsettling. It should've been only hers, not Kim's, not even for 10 minutes. It should've been remembered as just that.
You don't take things from a museum and try them on, it's a museum, not a boutique.
What a beautiful human being. A legend. ♥️
still genuinely surprised she was allowed to wear it, especially cuz it was up for display and already owned by Ripley. so fuckin weird to me. and I still have a hard time believing Kim managed to squeeze her herself into it evne aftre losing some weight. ik she damaged it, but I'm surprised her big ass didnt tear it completely
You are right
Blame Ripley’s; they’re the ones who let her do it
Letting whale-butt Kardashian squeeze into that iconic dress is like letting a paedophile run a kindergarten.
I don’t think Monroe is going to mind, dear. She’s been dead for over half a century now.
😭😭😭 people take advantage of the vulnerables and kick them out when their work is done , Marilyn also became used out of patriarchy 😭😭😭 my heart breaks for her all the time
She wasn’t “used.” That’s just another popular misconception that people love to believe. It’s part of the Monroe myth but it’s not who she actually was.
Hold her accountable for her actions. She ruined 2 marriages.
@@djkiid7764 Men ruined their own marriages in pursuit of her.
You take so much autonomy from men it is disgusting - as if when a married man sees a woman more conventionally attractive than his wife that all bets are off - as if his actions aren't a reflection on the state of his marriage or personal being.
It wasn't the patriarchy
As much obsessed as I am with MM, I am still in shock that another very famous someone (KK) wore this garment so very recently. Idk why, it’s mind blowing to me. No one will ever replace MM but it’s beautiful to know she still lives on
The dress got ruined after KK wore it. Even if she claimed she diet to fit to this dress. Its not her body type.
And that women ruined the iconic masterpiece it's never “beautiful" for me...
Just become known for sleeping with the president, that'll replace Monroe.
This dress has a disgusting story. She was the president's mistress. She sang this song publically to humiliate his wife. She was disgusting stop idolising her. I feel bad that she had such a life and whatever but don't paint her a an angel. And this dress has no real good story or intentions so it doesn't matter what they do with it

Marilyn did not have a close relationship with either of the Kennedy brothers. She admired them and met them a few times but that’s it. From the night she sang to the President! Her day's were numbered! Mob!! Yep! Yep!!
But why??
@@april110 She exposed her feeling towards the President! And the President was connected to the Mob they were a huge part as to why he won the election. And Monroe was having a affair with JFK ( She was having a affair with his brother Bobby to ) She was in love with him and he was cutting it off. And the mob was scared she was going to talk. So they did away with her. In fact the morning she died 2 miles from her home a car was stopped for speeding and Peter Lawford ( was JFK'S Brother-in law ) and two others were in the car one of them was a well know Doctor that was heavy in with the mob, And they were all from NY City what were they doing two miles from Monroe home the morning she died? This is my first time watching this. What was so scandalous and sexual about this??
It’s funny how we’re so used to things like this now, but you have to look at it from the lens of that decade. This was back when everyone was uptight and even Hollywood actors had morality clauses in their contracts.
Here is the most famous woman in the world, a woman who many consider to be the most famous sex symbol ever (back then and now), singing in an extremely sexualized manner to a very married President of the United States.
A President who everyone knew was an adulterer.
Oh and also while wearing a dress that was clearly meant to give the illusion of being naked. While we wouldn’t blink at a dress like this now, back then nobody had worn anything like that and especially to such a formal event.
Think of it like this. Could you imagine Beyoncé in a skimpy dress singing happy birthday like this to Obama? Even in today’s time the press would go crazy with speculation.
It also didn’t help that Jackie refused to attended because she was performing this number.
