Yeah, even though I don't go out much due to society, my family, my doubts, and my love life is basically dead because of them. I barely have a past to rememeber, I spent my teen years in self-imposed exile, and I might wind up leaving Florida and ruining my adulthood if I'm not equipped with the gear necessary to travel on my own, so that I can be judged on my terms in order to find a new home and replace the one I never had in Florida.
All these things happen to me regularly as I'm involved in different social settings. Now while I am tall strong and handsome, it's always married women or women who are in relationships that show me attention how you're describing. They start to get real touchy feely and always want to do things for me or with me. I of course play the clueless type so as not to give them any ideas. Its never the single girls. Married women and women who are in relationships are always interested in me. I've never understood it and while I like the attention, it's not exactly the attention I'm looking for. Single women act very shy around me, even if they're normally outgoing types and me being shy of course around women I'm attracted to.
Married women or the ones in relationships are by far the easiest ones to get.. They literally comes all by them self.. ;)
@@andersnielsen6044 yeah, I'd agree. They're always the flirtiest and comfortably social. But also, knowing how flirty married women or women in relationships are makes me suspicious of having one my self now. I've been married and had girlfriends and knowing what I know now, sheesh.
This will be long, but I think it will at least prove to move you a bit, with your own way of thinking. Simple, you stop being attracted to them (I can't emphasize this enough). You're shy around them because you're putting romance first, or, as the most important thing with them. I found this out on my own. Perhaps you haven't had my background, but once I got out of high school and went into the work force, I HAD TO be able to talk to women, and in some cases a great deal. This gave me the friend attitude towards them, but I didn't understand that all back then, it just happened.
After I had amassed lots of talk with lots of women, it occurred to me that about 10% of them I couldn't talk to, (and yes I was shy as could be before I started working) and if we were alone waiting for a meeting, for example, she would freeze up, I would, or we both would. What's the difference in that situation and almost all the other women I could talk to with ease? The fact that in their case, I saw them as romantic interests, but not friendship. Why? I think it's a natural thing, at least for sigma's that thinking of a woman in terms of romance first, is a matter of putting the cart if front of the horse. Friendship is putting the horse in front. Romance without friendship is pretty doomed, but friendship established, leading to romance, that's some fireworks.
If it had not been for a couple of girls I met earlier in life, where I VERY clearly put friendship first, over time, this never would've occurred to me. One was a 10 all the way, both super pretty and super cute, and I just talked to her with so much ease, for about five minutes straight, it just blew me away. The second girl was somebody I was boss of, and she was a mere 7 in looks. Not that I gear for the great looking ones you understand, but that's just what she was. We got along fantastic, and I found over time, particularly after she returned from vacation once, I was in love with her, and suddenly her looks shot up to a 9, without her doing anything different. I suppose she smiled more or something, once we knew we definitely had a thing for each other.
I can't say every girl's look shoots up after you really are fantastic together (I knew her only a couple of months, and as far as I know we never goo-goo eyed each other, we were all about personality), but I think it does give credence to the looks not being too terribly important, among other reasons. So, the lesson is this, the most important facet of a girl is her personality, for it is that which will eliminate either you, or her, freezing up on a date, or elsewhere. What you are trying to do is get each of you more used to each other, and the primary purpose of that is so both of you will open up enough, you at least catch a few red flags before you might both get insanely attracted to each other, and then want to wave off red flags. Also, being at least a bit of friends in the first place, will enable hopefully both of you to talk easily among yourselves, thereby not ever having the silent date syndrome.
In order to aid yourself in not being shy, you make sure also, to talk only when you have a subject on your mind, but if you're already friends with a girl, rather easy if you work alongside of them, it shouldn't be all that difficult. I ran a little experiment in the last 3-4 years with a limited sample of maybe a hundred subjects. In this I would approach ANY, and I mean ANY woman in the grocery store, but ENTIRELY without romance in mind, but ONLY to just talk to one, just stranger on stranger. I won't get into detail, but this was my taking the initiative, but the key factors were I couldn't engage in small talk, and I needed something specific in mind to say, something that struck me, like what brand of mustard they use (usually something a bit more profound than that), and I always approached from behind the subject, and every single time I did it, the women seemed to love it, and I wouldn't consider myself too terribly handsome either, though doubtlessly "some" girls thought so. As far as I can tell, this was accomplished by mostly tone and attitude.
Since we see girls as equals, that's the attitude part, but the tone is something else again. I mastered tone my last day of high school, though I thought it was a fluke (on the super good looking girl), and then I used it in the grocery store in later years. What tone is, is just something of a layer over the attitude thing. You speak to them in a way that shows you're already good friends. It's just a different tone is all I can say. It borders on being too fresh, but I'm not kissing up (typical sigma) nor doing small talk, nor complimenting them, and it has a slight enthusiasm to it. I'm just asking a question in a sort of neutral way that the tone comes across as that you're friends (definitely not romantically interested). There's another factor involved, but I'm not too certain it plays a big role, so I won't mention it.
To sum up, to beat the shyness, you have to regard women as basically just other men you want to be friends with, though you will talk about different subjects than with men. As sigma's are used to taking their time with girls, you just evaluate the women you talk to and see if you're starting to make some friendship headway with any, and even then you might need to give it a little more time (nothing forced). The goal overall, is to be friendly enough, that it makes it pretty certain that when it seems you should ask her out, you are pretty darn certain, unless she has a guy, that she'll say yes.
I hope any of this helps you. Don't think every time you're talking to a woman, you're sending her signals you want to get into romance. You ignore the sluts (they put romance first) and make some friendship vibes with the rest. Their looks are no object. You want to put them on such an equal place, that you can talk even to the ones you presume you couldn't be attracted to. Sure, you will probably have more trouble than I did with the wrong ones start making moves your way, but that's just part of the slight downside of being able to talk to any of them any time you have something worth saying. Talking to ones you definitely could never be attracted to, also just gets you more used to talking to women in general. You're never leading a woman on just by talking on the friendship level.
BTW, I have also found married women seem to have a thing for me as well. I think the single ones are just more generally scared, and that's part of your goal, to make it less scary for both you and women in general, by being to one degree or another, friends first. Also, I think sometimes married women have this thing about us, not only because they're braver, but also because I think some of them are running reconnaissance for the single ones. Don't forget, word gets around, and that's part of what you are doing, is selling yourself to the girls, even if it means just talking to one. You're a friend first, and maybe a romantic guy later. I needn't say this isn't the same thing as the infamous "friendzoning". You use friendship to just be a better guy towards the gals, but also to lay a foundation that if you meet a match through it, the romance starts slowly being used too.
They all do this honestly and I have zero patience for these games

Oh, so many times I've missed all these signs!! As a young man, the idea that a girl would ever like me was a completely foreign concept and so I missed out out so many opportunities even when they were being very blatant about their interest in me. I always assumed she was just being nice and friendly and kept things plutonic.

Serious question. Why would women\girls look at you with a look of confusion and disgust? I often catch women i know well looking at me alot out of the corner of my eye.
