- On board an American Airlines 737-823 registration N878NN for approach and landing on runway 22 at New York’s LaGuardia Airport (IATA: LGA, ICAO: KLGA, FAA LID: LGA) after having flown in from Miami International Airport (IATA: MIA, ICAO: KMIA, FAA LID: MIA) in Miami, Florida, United States
Enjoy the beautiful night views all the way from New York Harbor through the approach and landing and eventually parking at the gate.
As an added bonus, the lead flight attendant does a fantastic job of narrating some of the sights among the way.
Among the sights you will see from the air are:
Statue of Liberty
Newark Liberty Airport
Manhattan
One World Trade Center
Brooklyn Bridge
Manhattan Bridge
Williamsburg Bridge
Ed Koch / Queensboro / 59th Street Bridge
Bronx Whitestone Bridge
Throgs Neck Bridge
LaGuardia Airport (from above and from the ground)

Pilot was very nice enough to be our tour guide of NYC. very brilliant
@videoconcord It was actually the lead flight attendant (not the pilot) but regardless it was very nice of him to give us the guided tour of NYC.
I'm amazed that pilots gave this sort of guided tour over Manhattan, nice treat !!
Beautiful scenery especially at night
@candlelight33 Agreed!
WOW - I have never heard a flight attendant do that! That was amazing!
@PeterMasella Yes he was great and also the first time I ever heard a flight attendant do that. He started the narrative a few minutes earlier but unfortunately I didn’t catch the beginning on video. Also, in general he was an amazing flight attendant and made the first class experience truly feel first class (which isn’t always the case nowadays).
By the way I love your videos and the unique perspective you provide!
thx for video beautiful lights
@MarkMclaughlin-qm8kq You are very welcome!
Terrific Landing
@ArielitoEnriqueTapia-lc2jw Yes it was!
That's a captain who takes pride in his city 😊
@oufukubinta It was the lead flight attendant but regardless, agreed that yes he’s he does indeed take pride in his city.
As scenic in its way as landing there by day. Beautiful.
Beautiful saying and agreed!
Spiffy landing there Captain, smooth as silk.
@scootertrash911 Yes it was!
"For those of you sitting on the right, it's your own fault for not booking a seat on the left"
@dhalsim-1 LOL! I always hate when I’m on the “wrong” side of the plane.
Video exploded - fantastic stuff!
@HDNYCAviation Thank you!
Amazing views and video!
Thank you so much! It was such a great approach and I’m glad I was on the left side of the plane to capture it.
@@newyorktransportation Anytime man!
Semplicemente meraviglioso.......
the same view coming into Newark, (ewr) except plane banks right on final over elizabeth nj....great vid at night
@swivet99 Thanks and yes Newark approaches can have some great views of Manhattan as well (from the other side of the skyline of course).
I'm going to Newyork in march for the first time
@TanitaManning That’s great! Let me know if you have any questions about your upcoming trip to New York and I hope you have a wonderful time here!
Great video! Iphone 14?
@didyouknowthat4604 Thanks! iPhone 12 Pro Max
Rikers Island my Alma Mater.
LOL!
And you can count on a multitude of fraternity brothers!
How come the flights attendant didn’t make the announcement when you guys landed
I was waiting for him to make the welcome announcement. However from what I could overhear, he was chitchatting with a flight attendant in the other jump seat when we landed and likely simply forgot to make the welcome announcement. It was a bit ironic how he made all those earlier sightseeing announcements but then forgot to make the required welcome announcement (not that most people pay attention to them anyways)
@@newyorktransportation Oh ok. Well that’s unexpected lol
@andrewthevideomakerguyest.8920 Yes unexpected but it is my best guess as to why he forgot. He was an excellent flight attendant for us in the first class cabin so he gets a pass for forgetting the welcome announcement. 😉
@@newyorktransportation Haha yup!!

What a nice view of NY downtown.
@anaa2054 Yes it is beautiful!
Bellevideohenri😊😊😊
Hey Munni, Sobuj Shahthi
Definitely a flight attendant doing the narration. The reason you can tell that is because there was no ATC chatter
@jwkovacs722 Yes plus it’s a sterile cockpit below 10,000 feet and also I could see the flight attendant talking into the microphone from my seat.
Wish there were closeups!
@bcats1309 Thank you for your feedback. I will try to zoom in more next time
I work for AA. We call LGA, La Garbage.
@johnreid2999 I have heard that expression as well and it was deserved in the old days. However now that the new construction is mostly complete, it’s quite a beautiful facility.
@@newyorktransportation Well to me, NY is and always will be a dumpster.
Oh that's so cool what do you do!? Commercial aviation is my biggest hobby and I really like CLT not so much the airport but it's my favorite area. Awesome overlook tho the new one looking like it could even be better.
@charlotteman9397 Aviation is a hobby of mine along with other types of transportation. While I haven’t spent much time in Charlotte itself, I’ve passed through CLT countless times (some of which are documented on this channel) and love the other parts of NC I have visited.
Imagine someone working for AA calling something else garbage LOL
You landed on Runway 22
@ArnoldAaron Yes correct runway 22
If thats the captain giving the history voice tour about elephants 🐘 I sure hope he's watching what he's doing!!!😂 And I suppose if he ever wants to retire from being a commercial pilot, he could give the helicoptor tours!
Nah def the flight attendant, hes under 10,000 ft. he would get fired
@AndrewSmith-rk4di Yes good point - The Sterile Cockpit
Butiful
@imtiazlakha4313 Yes it is!
@@newyorktransportation i am Mustafa Pakistani
@imtiazlakha4313 Nice to meet you Mustafa! I hope you enjoy our TH-cam channel.
People on the right: 😡😠😠😡
[That would be me, no doubt about it.]
@markharris1125 I know that feeling!
I bet you cannot see one star at night. Not a single one.
That’s a common myth by those who don’t live in NYC. You can definitely see some stars on a clear night in the city.
There is an astronomical observatory, I think in Colombia University. So they must be able to see something at least with a giant ass telescope lol
All that wasted power to house lemmings. I would never live in such a congested area. Jesus. Never seen such waste.
No New Yorker cares what you think, Mr. Carr. You're not the first one who can't hack it and feigns disdain. We know the type.
I have friends in Boston and Chicago who hear exactly the same thing.
Seems like you’re obsessed with the city lol
"no one goes there anymore, it's too crowded!"
NYC is a very corrupt city if the burrows had their own police department and governor etc it might be different...but oh well it's on the other side of the country keep destroying your city
@@visionist7 yes the most visited city in America has no one going there 🙄
