I like the new bracelet design. Reminds me of the Rolex president. The dial is simple yet elegant. Not sure if I prefer the horizontal teak pattern or this
I preferred the Aqua Terra 8500 bracelet over the flatter one found on the 8900... this new bracelet however looks stunning, certainly one of the highlights of the watch for me.
I tried the 8900 (41mm) bracelet at the store... it looks supper flat, and the links feel too thin/a bit flimsy (perhaps accentuated by the center polished links). I like this one so much better.
There are a lot of pictures on instagram where the dials all look different because of editing. Would you say the video does the dial justice in terms of how the blue comes across in person?
I love the teak dial, and it's an Omega exclusive (lots of watches have a sunburst dial). But I wonder if the teak pattern is visually compatible with so much polish in the case as this version has.
@@Hiconsumptionwith your almost 8” wrist size, did you try on the 41mm? I’m curious if you like how the 41mm fits you versus the 38mm. I have a 7-1/2” wrist and I’m torn between the 2 sizes, but am leaning toward the 38mm.
I bought mine in 2023 as my first luxury watch. I was disappointed after buying a Rolex date just. The Aqua Terra was top heavy, no Tfit, lume was subpar. I had to put an Artem strap with a deployment clasp and my wife likes wearing it. Lol
Prefer the older teak version better. This is trying to compete with the OP. Still a nice watch. The one thing Omega really needs to do is come out with a micro adjustment bracelet.
@@rolexer the demand has outstripped supply hence why some stores still don't have them in stock. That would suggest you won't be getting a deep discount.
@@rolexer I am simply stating that these have proven more popular than Omega anticipated hence why some stores don't have stock. Since price is a function of supply and demand that suggests you won't be getting a deep discount. Who knows maybe you are some incredible negotiator but most people haven't been getting huge discounts because these have been popular. Actually many of the Omega novelties released earlier this year have been popular. I think moonswatch has has been good for the brand and it has made the brand more popular which is the opposite of what the critics thought.
All polished and not brushed? You wear this watch for a year and it will be completly scratched up. Why they made it all polished, it's a scratch-magnet! Better the 41 mm version.
Excellent choice. I much prefer the sunburst dial to the teak dial. The watch not only looks gorgeous but it's robust enough for everyday wear.
Love the video the editing the high quality camera shots and the voice over please more of these

I have seen this watch in the ad did not know this wATCH looked stunning did not believe my eyes
The photos for this watch don't do it justice. That sunburst dial is truely stunning.
A color matched date wheel or a frame around the date would’ve made this that much better
I'd be all over it if there was a no date version
Check the Teak-Dial-Variants. They have matching disks!
Omega very quietly changed this by adding a frame around the window. Looks solid in photos, excited to see the execution in person.

I think this one can fit the 8800 38mm

Case makers: How much polishing do you want?
OMEGA: Yes

The dial looks different depending on light
A small index at 6 hours location will make this watch perfect
What color is this ?
Blue
It's the Atlantic blue dial. Product link is found in description for reference.
I was there last week saw the blue and couple of others they also have 1957 new, but it is Omega only store
I like the new Omega Seamaster Shades

hoping they will release one in black
Yup!
Isn’t this watch version over 4 years old now. Dial excluded
Great job showcasing this beauty. What is your wrist size? I must say the watch does look well proportioned.
Thanks! Wrist size is just shy of 8"

It's definitely more closer to competing with datejust than op and explorer
Do you know when this will be released? It has been quite some time since this was announced.
I've had my eye on this one for quite some time. I feel like this kind of wait deflates the hype they've build up. Well, it's all the same for me.
it has been out in Vancouver BC for the last 3 months at the Omega store
@@ChristopherJones2 and yet it says "Available soon in stores" in the Omega website.
@@ollik8192 I’ve also seem it at the Omega boutique in Switzerland and one other AD, which was just arranging them in the window.
Omega has informed us that it will be releasing holiday 2022.
My watch has no date function therefore from now onwards I will have to ask everyone what's the date today?
I'm glad Omega doesn't do frames for date windows. However, the date window should definitely be in the dial color.
Color???

No micro/on the fly adjust = fail
It’s baffling why they don’t fix this and make this a true GADA.
It's kinda infuriating. Whats GADA stand for?
I agree, and the polished middle links are major scratch magnets. Looks good though. Gada is "Go anywhere, do anything". Cheers!
Missing the Rehaut to catch your eye. Probably the reason the DJ is superior.
OP and explorer is better imo... this leans a bit too much in the dressy department. Still a great option though
Yes, but in person I think they still have that hint of ruggedness.
these still are not out from my understanding. sad 8 plus months to release a 3 hander.
Depends on the store. Some locations have had them for over 3 months. I heard there isn't enough stock which is why only some stores have them.
@@almac9203 yep. Sadly they put little effort behind this release. It's fine. I'll buy one in a few years for a deep discount.

Better than any Rolex oyster or Datejust.
How so?
