As always Torsion you have done a great job getting this clock going. Sad that you didnt get paid for your work but maybe you can make up for it when you sell the clock if you chose to do so.

    Very helpful video Derek, thanks.
Could you give some more info on the press fit motionwork gear wheel? How to get it off and replace it with correct friction fit.
I'm working on a movement which must be the same manufacturer.
It has the same gear attached to the centre wheel arbor and between the plates a very substantial coiled spring compared to the usual tiny domed spring.
So far I've left the motionwork gear on to try and avoid damaging anything as i wasn't sure how to get it off. Luckily the plate was very clean, but i haven't cleaned the hole where the centre arbor passes through the front plate (yet!)

      Thanks Andrew
I use two paint tin lid leavers but make sure to protect the plate , dress it back on with a length of brass tube but it’s not always necessary to remove it depends upon how dirty the movement is.

Couldn’t find anything obvious just made sure again that everything was clean but sometimes it happens only needs a bit of dust in a bush .
