Kingsglaive should've been a playable story, not a movie. They could've pulled a KH2, play as Nyx through the Kingsglaive story and at the end switch over to Noctis. Kingsglaive would've gave a clear intro to the overall story and conflict, and develop Luna better.
Agree! In term of character development, it not only help for Luna, but also some other characters like Ravus, Ardyn and Noctis' buddies if they focus completely on the game. And not all people are going to watch anime, movie and play the game altogether, but they are like putting the core of the story separately into the anime, movie and game.. I didn't watch the anime and movie, but when I see some players that watch the anime and movie are using part of those to explain some plot hole in the game, it shows the flaw of how the team handle the story...
It wouldnt work. But before let me informe you this: Nyx doings in the movie (until getting the ring) were supposed to be Noctis, they changed the story and created Nyx for the role with changes. Now about doing what you said: it woulndt work because then you would need to make the player weak again after playing with Nyx to be able to play with Noctis and that would bore the player. And if you made Noctis powerful from start then the first sidequests would be a joke, needing to change their theme to a more somber one . What could be done and probably was their first idea: make Noctis leave for marriage, come back when the invasion happened, aid his father, see him die, be separated from Luna and the ring, flee from the city and continue from chapter 2.
I agree apart from the switching over bit. A Kingsglaive game would've been a great way to establish the world, important characters, the conflict going on in Eos, and ultimately set the stage for Noct and his gang in a sequel. Players could've played as Nyx with Libertus, Crowe, and Luche (or Pelna) as their party. During the final stretch (the events of the movie) the player would have to try to escape Insomnia with Luna (temporary party member/white mage) while fighting Niffs and traitor Glaives. It would all lead up to fighting Glauca as the final boss (who should've been resurrected by Ardyn so Noct and Gladio could've taken him down and avenged their fathers) with a battle-torn Insomnia as the backdrop and ending with Nyx's final (and ultimately bittersweet) line, "Rule well, young king."
We didn't forget, we just "kind of" covered that in this video (th-cam.com/video/7yZrTsEEwYo/w-d-xo.html). To be fair, the list could just go on and on, we just wanted to focus on these ones for now. ~Lauren
Yeah, that bugged me that Prompto was like "I'm one of them", and Noctis and everyone else was like "Okay", and totally glossed over him basically saying he was a demon. Like, are you kidding me Square-Enix?!?
For anyone wondering who is the guy at 0:46, from the official strategy guide it says it is Crailas Amicitia being Gladio and Iris's father. So in short that was Clarus's previous look before they decided to go with shorter hair and a different spelling for his name.
Part of the problem with FFXV is that you needed to watch Kingsglaive and Brotherhood in order to understand the background of the story. This is stuff that should have been in the game and not in separate things. Movies and mini-series should be to expand on the story, not to explain it. Heck maybe they should have included them in the game box. Also the beginning should have been different. Instead of Noctis leaving Insomnia to go meet Luna for their wedding, it should have been Noctis and his friends fleeing Insomnia during the Nilfilheim invasion. The game should have started even further back in time, back to when Noctis and Luna were children playing in the field before he was attacked my the Malarith demon. Then they would have given us the Platinum demo area to show Noctis in his come. Then after he wakes up a time skip would occur to when he's a young man and the game has different tutorials depending on which friend Noctis is hanging out with. Gladio would be the combat tutorial, Ignis the stealth tutorial, Prompto would be the warp traversal tutorial, Iris would be walking around the city and shop tutorial. After all those tutorials are done Nilfheim would attack and Noctis and his friends would be told to flee while the King and the Kingsglaive defend the city. This is also where Noctis would have his fight in front of the palace against Nilf soldiers and he'd have to survive until his friends get the Regalia to get him out of there.
While that's generally true, there's still some things that fall through the cracks. Like Prompto's Brotherhood episode where he's a fat kid, while giving a good perspective on how Prompto views himself compared to the others and just why he's friends with Noctis, obviously doesn't even remotely imply the larger, darker and much more deep truth to his origins suddenly thrown at the player in game. Or the sort of infamous inconsistency with Ravus' character between Kingsglave and the game itself. I don't blame the dev team too much there because as has been stated a lot in these comments, they were working on an utterly insane deadline; but it just shows the scope of what had to be cut around is even bigger than the supplemental material like the movie and the anime.
The problemis even if you watched Kingsglave and Brotherhood, the second part of the game still remains utter shit. Can't imagine how bad it was for people that don't know Kingsglave and Brotherhood.
@Lo Co ...I can tell you how bad it was:I understood nothing, the villain was set up to look like a villain and everyone treated him like a villain but for some reason he helped me throughout the entire game, and then at the end he was suddenly evil.I was never sure if the empire guys were my opposition or friends,I didn't understand our relations at all....I'm destroying their army throughout the game, they killed my family, but I'm still peacefully chilling with their leaders, who could'v killed me 100000000 times but didn't for some reason...''hey,lets betray a King, kill everyone in the city, but leave his son unharmed just because".Lunafreya felt like literally nothing, like a piece of shit I don't care about at all.
its was in development for 10 years and will not even break even on sales due to its massive development. The delays were not the problem it was the lack of focus for 7 of the games development years.
Idk, it was in development on and off for a decade. Doesn't take that long to write a decent story and put it together. Seems like a lack of focus in terms of story telling to me.
The main problem of this game right now is that everything happens off-screen, which is in general, BAD STORYTELLING. Like people have called this game "Final Fantasy XV: Dies off screen" and I can't help but agree, too much of the plot of this game occurs away from the main cast. And while it makes some sense, the just whole lack of content story-wise after Altissa is an extreme disappointment. Like I saw a streamer the other day who liked chapter 13, but was really confused and disappointed that it didn't occur EARLIER. And I agree, if they had done a better job of linking the entire game into the open world, it might have made for a more enjoyable experience. Like imagine an exploreable Nifflehim and Insomina (pre-timeskip), maybe there we could have had more scenes with both the empire and linking characters from kingsglaive into the game thus giving it more depth.
I hope everyone knows that a lot got cut from this game last minute because they didn't have the time to finish it up. The top brass at Square gave them a bad deadline of 2016. They (Tabata and his development team) had originally planned for a 2017 or 2018 release.
I'm just extremely PISSED OFF that in a Final Fantasy game we have one of the most poor storytelling i've ever seen. The most important reason why ALL of us ff fans fell in love with this series, it's stories, is now something that the developement team would gladly push into the background... Just like some kind of eastern Ubisoft? "Here, let them have one or two cutscene to watch while doing the actual game: sidequests" Dear Square Enix you reeeally need to rethink your priorities or you'll screw up the FFVII remake...
Marino Mele also the fact that they used ifrit as part of the final boss sequence was kinda shitty, sure it was fun but jesus a summon for a final boss? Na BRUh. Should've added another form to ardyn.
I am so glad Ardyn escaep the "final form" cliché. Adds more weight to the fight. But yeah, Ifrits role in the star scourge should at least have been fleshed out more.
Spa ghetto ._. I feel a final form would have fit perfectly between the Armiger fight and the last part where they're both on the ground again where Noctis finishes Ardyn. All those daemons Ardyn had inside of him to save the people in ages past, coming out to give him some type of giant monster form on a Leviathan's scale/size would have been nice.
I was almost in tears hearing this lucid and clear breakdown b/c as much as I love FFXV's look and style, there are just so many confusing missed opportunities.
11:19 Couldn't agree more. Something like this would have made a lot more sense and been so much more emotional. At least we can look forward to more of Ravus' story in the upcoming DLC.
ureshiiiiii Fleshing out of Ravus' Story is part of the update patches, not DLC (though that could also help in the fleshing out), so it should be free luckily.
Insuspected Rulling it has been said that the multiplayer dlc which comes after the 3 character dlc's will allow us to do that. Nothing about Dave being playable though.
I would rather them delay as well just to make a better storytelling.. For me, gameplay wise, it looks great, but story wise, it is weak but will be a big potential if it is done correctly...
just downloaded the new game plus update but gonna wait till they update the game with more cutscenes and story content as they planned. really great game but sad that we dident get more on the empire and Nifleheim..
DukstarGaming Agreed the gameplay and open world was nice and I did feel for the characters, but the story hurts it so much that it just feels weird. I honestly don't know how adding cutscenes will help, but we will see.
Youre def righr, this game has the potential to be the best but why did they fuck up the story. I wish they focused more on the fight against the empire, and I wish we had some cool boss battle against their generals. The fact that when you watch kingsglaive youd hate the empire it would be cool and satisfying if the game revolves around noctis journey for revenge.
Shite, man!😂😂😂 So controversial! We don't know, okay!? Gladio doesn't even know dammit!😭 Come to think of it, that could've been a small cutscene between Noct and Gladio and it could've been really funny and endearing. Shit, Square...
Damn, this is thorough. You earned a sub^^ There are way too many things that got left out of this game. -Nifleheim itself is the biggest opportunity. We're not shown any of the backstory on Ardyn or anyone else for that matter, making them all just as shallow and pointless as Cid in FF13. It's hard to care about the bad guys when you don't even get a sense of what they're really after and why. For instance, why would Nifleheim give a crap about Noct and Luna's wedding? Why would that constitute as a peace offering, what do they get out of it? Obviously the thing was a giant trick, a lie to claim the crystal, but the negotiations seemed bizarre. -Too much is told and not enough is shown. What did the world look like when Ardyn was betrayed? We need to see that. Things need better explanation. Why did touching the crystal cause Noct to sleep for 10 years anyway? Does Prompto being ex-nifleheim have any point besides him being able to get into a locked door that only existed to reveal that plot point? -Ravus' death was stupid. Why kill such a major character off screen? Was Iedolas turned into a monster? They should show that, or emphasize it more. I didn't know that had happened. -The lore of the summons and their relationship to the world is extremely vague within the game itself. Things like daemons and summons should have been established as foundations for their lore. -After seeing Tenebrae from loading screen artwork, there's no way the game can be complete without visiting it in one way or another. We should also see a lot more Nifleheim than a highway and research facility. What was their kingdom like? -The relationship between Insomnia and the vastly contrasting "world map" needs way more development. A network of diners and gas stations doesn't really seem economically feasible and complete. Why the hell would guys running roadside diners have the kind of cash to pay hunters for killing monsters? Where does the kingdom of Lucis start and end? Is a short boat ride away really the distance between two countries? -Did all the quest NPCs have to be the same people over and over again? -The ending's a total clusterfuck. Everyone knew Noctis was destined to die, but the technicalities of why are simply glossed over. -Where are all the people? How do they feel about life outside Insomnia? Even before the 10 year gap, the world felt like a ghost town. -Lastly, the whole Leviathan event was exceptionally confusing. What exactly was Luna trying to do? Why did Nifleheim essentially let her do it? Many of the characters and political forces do not state or cultivate having understandable motivations.
although clarus wasnt mentioned by name in the game, he was mentioned in a scene where noctis said to gladio that he was greatful for gladios dad for being there for regis. it looked like gladio was affected by his death but being the macho one of the group, he quickly acknowledged noctis for it and changed the subject.
The relationship between Father and Son felt forgotten till the end. So much was talked about between trailers, movies, brotherhood, and other media. Even the platinum demo ties a hinted relationship between Noct and family.
What many people don't know is that other old white haired guy that you showed after marking out Versus XIII characters is actually Clarus. The guidebook confirms that.
Final Fantasy Union Yeah, that guy. I was shocked to know that they had said he was Clarus. They have a whole pg dedicated to a chain of Charachter relations, connecting with one another in a web.
Ace Roberts most character will sometime will change or go through some development changes to what the game is now. 10 years did took a lot of changes and minor character re-design.
You've made a lot of points very good and clear. The story had so much potential to be great but a lot of plot holes. There was also a couple of scenes from trailers that weren't in the game. Unless those where from Final Fantasy versus XIII as most trailer scenes were in the actual game.
It did question some of what is missing within the game and in the movie itself. That's why I mention to a friend that the movie did left some few question. Not a whole lot, but just a few. Yet the game itself really needs to answer a good small handful on what goes on. And you did explain what did happen for certain things that makes me do another question stuff in my head.
I loved the game- the world was spectacular and the gameplay is pretty fun. But, wow this game story or lack thereof is the worst in FF history to me. Where to begin- Noctis and friends whole reaction to the news about Insomnia was really weak- it lasted about 1- minutes and that was it. Ardyn is a really cool character but by the end of the game we only had the scantiest details on why he was doing what he did. I don't think they built a good enough backstory for him to really bring about why he detested Noctis so much. Cutscenes of his past would have helped a lot. And even why he was helping Noctis in the beginning wasn't even really very clear besides being a troll. But, I guess he wanted him to get stronger, yet he did things contrary to that. Another thing- this game chose to tell certain critical story elements via "sticky notes" REALLY? Luna's brother was portrayed as a major villain since Kingsglaive only to be shown by the end that he did a 180 off screen and was actually a good guy. You learn this by reading journal pages he kept on him....that was one of the weakest parts of the game. Along with Prompto's history that was just a plot element for that chapter as it had no foreshadowing of it whatsoever. Oh let us not forget how Emperor Ideolas was thrown to the wayside and reduced to becoming some mindless fiend which most people didn't even realize. I mean he was the second main antagonist and to have basically zero story revolving around him was a huge disservice because he seemed to be quite an interesting character from the little I saw of him in Kingsglaive- I loved when he told Regis that "it is a warning to the hand of justice itself- to never loose its grip" He also seemed wary of Ardyn in Kingsglaive to me, making it look like he didn't fully trust him, and wasn't just some stupid pawn. A real shame! Lastly, to keep it relatively short as I can go on and on- I did not appreciate important info being told through loading screens. That just shows laziness to me- find a way to incorporate that info being communicated in the game through NPCs or something. Finally, the world as vast as it was doesn't really have any lore behind it at all- the dungeons just exist without much history or subtext. I think at the very least a bestiary and datalogs would have helped majorly with this- like how FF12 and FF13 had. For me to be learning about places through loading screens that show random info and sometimes load super fast is utter FAILURE. (I wrote this before watching the full video and I see the creator also points out how Ravus was dealt with)
Would have loved to see a complete main story and side quests for developing all the supporting characters hopefully they might actually deliver it in the additional content
as long as we are getting added content to the story ad such I'm happy. best the story and now I'm collecting items and doing hunts exploring this beautiful game. when the added content comes I'll be all over it. read an interview with Tabata on website and he said he had 3 years to put all the resources together and make changes to make it work from versus 13. you did amazing tabs and I thank you, I am satisfied and looking forward to what's to come for this game. first time in gaming I purchased DLC season pass for this.
This is a well constructed video not born by hate for the game but by love for the game... And i agree with every point. So much amazing potential lost. It just sux this will probably never reach the developers. But if it was possible for them to see atleast 1 video consirning explenations and plot holes.. I hope they see this one...
Final Fantasy Union Np, i love the game too. Some ppl say it's our own fault for having higher expectations but i disagree. The way they advertised it was that it was going to be a complete story but there is too much missing. So much that it feels incomplete. (Like Verstael/Iedolas being almost absent from the game...) My biggest fantasy is that they add a new prologue chapter where we play as Cor during Insomnia invasion and we see what's happening... One can only dream right?
Well I think before when Noctis faces Ardyn in the last battle, that the scene with the hanging dead bodies could have given a more emotional touch, like bossbattles between Idolias, Regies,Luna and Nyx. first off the battle between Noctis and The Emperor in Niflehiem (an illusion and The Emperor as a illusive demon like raveus for example, and The same goes for the one below) and would give an in depth explenation of his story in this and how he was betrayed by Ardyn. Next the battle with Nyx in Section D where he got to talk to the kings. it would give Noctis and The players who didnt see the Kingsglaive movie understanding of who he was and why he was so important in the story itself, with help of more cutscenes from Kingsglaive. The battle with his father in the secret passage, where he got killed by gluaca, and this is for really for the father and son feeling wich would bring the players and Noctis to tears by that he was sorry for not telling the true purpouse of the profecy with the last king of light and for not doing a proper farwell when he set of on his journey. and finaly the battle with Luna wich would be set on the plane fields of tenebrea, where Luna said goodbye to Noctis, and she would be telling her feelings for noctis, and that she was excited for the wedding and showing him illusions of them having an happy life together, and with his father and bros, this would totally whreck Noctis and me. and this giving more hate towards Ardyn, and then After the battle he appers in the throne room to take the final fight towards Ardyn
same here after I started the game I stopped when they announced an update to improve the story for the me the most important aspect of any final fantasy game is the story I hope they do it right
Well, then you would need to wait for a long number of months. Probably the cutscenes (with the announced new playable parts) are going to be launch after the season pass content.
I really hope this information reachs to Tabata.By the way. Gladio chapter is during chapter 7, Ignis chapter is during chapter 9, and Prompto chapter is during in between chapter 12 and 13. Sooo... Maybe the multiplayer is going to be set in the future?
I feel like they left out alot of information for when Gladi left and returned to the party. Like why he left, who gave him the scars(I'm assuming Luna's brother or Cor). I hope these questions are answered either with the story patch or the Gladi dlc.
the things i really would like to see are a greater importance of the Royal arms, they are part of the core story yet there is no need to collect them all, even when you do it changes nothing. Also if the world after the 10 yr gap was explorable that would be amazing. I really thought it would end with you going around rebuilding your team, then having the chance to fight the most OP daemons (like the weapons) before going to Insomnia. i was hoping to go back and kill That lvl 90 demonwall thing for a hunt
marckery blanchard Batman v Superman had ALOT of plot holes, but still a decent movie overall. Same as with Final Fantasy 15 having a lot of plot holes, and still being a decent game.
You mention the whole thing about Clarus not being referenced. I seem to recall at some point Noctis stops Gladios and says something like, "I realize what your father did for mine." It was just banter or something... but I think he may be referenced. If anyone know or can put up where this was shown, it would be great. I also agree that on that point, Gladios was not attempting to 'burden' Noctis whom he still viewed as unable to move past mourning.
Great video. Even tho this game is missing alot sadly i still consider this one of my favorite games of all time (ive never played final fantasy lol) i cried so hard at the ending. I think the reason why i loved this game so much is because i avoided all trailers so i didnt get super hyped for it. Lets hope they fix alot of the plot holes in dlc. I kinda hope the add more cutscenes with promto, iggy, gladdy, and noct. I really want to see more of them.
I also want them to do something with the world when the deamons had control and ran free. All those groups of deamons you see when driving up to Hammerhead only to realize you're on a railroad to the final chapter with no other paths to choose.
I agree ! I wish we could free roam the Dark World ! So many badass enemies to fight! Should be end game bosses and all sorts there for us. BUT NO. They pulled a konami on us
I wanna know more about ardyn.. Like he shares the same name as noctis, yet unless i completely missed something it never really told his story or that relation.
Honestly I hate how they practically threw away Iedolas. I was intrigued by his character in Kingsglaive and thought the game would serve to satisfy my thirst for knowledge about him. I would have liked to see some "behind the scenes" stuff happening between Ardyn and Iedolas. Things like Ardyn seducing Iedolas to bend to his will and do things that normally, Iedolas wouldn't have. He was but a mere mortal, probably blinded by greed, so ruling Eos would have been enough for him. I would strongly suggest the idea, as you mentioned, that destroying/capturing the Astrals was Ardyn's idea, a man of greater ambitions. Here's a crazy idea, give us tons of more cutscenes. I don't give a hoot if we don't get more playable levels. I will be satisfied with a couple more hours worth of cutscenes to fill in all these plot holes.
In the story, where noct first finds out his dad died from Cor, gladio maintained his composure. He knew obviously his dad died too. Basically if you didn't watch kingsglaive, understanding these deeper elements such as the characters sentimental feelings wouldn't be as easy to experience. That's why when people say watching it isn't essential I kind of disagree. If you want to immerse yourself and understand the story completely kingsglaive is a really good backstory. Although I still agree that the purpose of making a film instead of integrating it into the game was quite stupid
I could careless about the characters mentioning others like fathers etc etc, im more upset with how many potential antagonist they wasted and how very little human v human battles there were. The nif army was really no threat what so ever and to have them all wiped out by turning into daemons was just lame. Its a solid game but idk i was expecting an amazing open world with quests like witcher 3 but with a story that drives you after you reach altissia ffxv falls short relying mostly on hunt quest which get repetitive after your 40th hunt. Would had been awesome if they at least let you fight a few strong humans from the nif who after getting beat turned into unique daemons and not the same daemons we had been fighting the entire game. I was expectin a lot more from the base raids too.
I get the impression the Level 110 Arumusha or something like that for a hunt is supposedly a fallen general as the hunt name is Fallen General Strikes down the King, but that is technically a lost opportunity also (a Gralean Medal of Honour near it might confirm this to a point).
Do you mean dead general strikes down the king? I thought the same, too. It's a high level hunt and the location you fight in looks like a crater, not to mention it's just behind an imperial base. I don't think the enemy was meant to be just another samurai.
Dubious Carim Yes, that one! With your extra observations, it makes even more sense. (I actually looked the hunt name up before commenting and still managed to get it wrong.)
Very good video! I also think some aspects of the story could've been better handled but regardless, I really enjoyed the ending. I only didn't like the last camp scene to be somewhat ambiguous. (I have my mind set on what happened for me and even if it's dead or alive it still has the same impact for me but it would've been nice to know.)
The oddity that there's airships and we can't have one. Just a flying car that crashes upon landing. As well as how the airship could attack and unlock areas. Would've really love to have seen that. Love the take on summons but hate the execution on quantity.
I definitely want to see Aranea playable. Just that one instance when she was a guest character was enough to make me want her. She's a dragoon, which is my second favorite classic job. I would love to see the crazy combos I could execute and whatever special abilities she may have.
If you wanted too, you can permanently glitch her into your party. She'll appear in pics, dialogue, link-strikes, etc. And basically go wherever you do, she'll even follow you into new game plus until about chapter 2 when Cor joins your party.
Having never watched Kingsglaive, I didn't even realise Gladio's father was part of it! Definitely a missed opportunity there. Cor's appearances were so random - I actually thought he was going to be a traitor! ^^; I really want more on the Niflheim politics - I had a problem with the lack of content regarding Ravus, Aranea, and Iedolus...
I get the feeling that a lot of Ravus' plot will be revealed in Episode Prompto, given the timing of Prompto's disappearance from the party. I think we can all guess where Gladio's episode is, and I feel like Prompto's will be around the time that Ravus' offscreen death took place (it'll also delve in to Prompto's origins given his very last minute plot twist). It's Ignis I wonder about, I'm not sure where his story will take place, or with whom. I feel that Gladio will likely be involved with Cor. I really hope there's some DLC that fills in the 10 year gap, especially something involving Iris because we were told she was a daemon hunter but never saw it... Hell, a whole game to fill in that 10 year gap would be more then welcome.
The idea of Cor actually being Bahamut in human form (like Gentiana) hadn't occurred to me. But it seems very possible given his nickname "the immortal" and his eyes are the same colour... c'mon expansions: you have a lot of explaining to do!
It would also explain why Bahamut doesn't make Noctis prove himself like the other deities. Near the beginning of the game Cor says something along the lines of "I will be watching you and seeing how you progress." (I don't remember the exact words)
To be honest, I'm not really interested in them patching the story. By the time those patches are out I'll be playing other, better games, and accepting their patches as some sort of recompense for releasing a game that was obviously rushed and of poor quality, only encourages that behaviour in the future. Square-Enix needs to make a decision, are they going to return to the golden age of FF where sales were good and fans satisfied with good stories, turn based combat and fleshed out worlds. Or are they going to keep travelling down this road of half-assed stories, empty worlds and bland combat, all in the name of "innovation". Because all this "innovation" has been earning them so far is a divided fanbase, lower review scores and decreasing sales.
TheMixEmperor yeah my faith in SquareEnix is utterly broken. This is entering my shelf of finished games and by the time they release compensation patch i dont think i would be giving a damn.
I like how the emperor just... dies... like he dies. Oh he's a monster who I didn't even recognize was the emperor because I only heard his name like 3 times.
I don't know if I agree. The guy was quite possibly given over half a decades' worth of unfinished assets and materials from Versus 13 and basically told to "make something releasable by 2016".
There could have been a section later in the game where Libertus has formed some sort of anti-nif faction within the controlled city of Insomnia, and if you and your powered up team are able to break into the city, are kind of met and ushered out by Libertus and his team. I dunno there simply wasn't enough stuff where you got to fight the empire and their higher ups. People wanted to see more of Nifelheim, the fact that we only got to see it in it's demon infested form was a shame. We didn't get to explore Tenebrae, and you can tell that Altissia was almost gonna be the same with the kind of half assed time shifting thing you can do. Still loved the game but soooo many opportunities missed.
I still want to see Stella. I kno she was "replaced" by Luna but I honestly think she could work if done right. Even the scene back in Versus XIII where her and Noctis meet could still be used as a flashback. She would just have to fit around the story as an alternate character that doesn't run into Noctis, Luna's cousin maybe? Perhaps centered around Tenebrae Pre-Kingsglaive leading up to the events of Tenebrae aflame. I was disappointed we didn't get to explore that continent more freely.
Um, sure, they don't mention Clarus by name, but Noctis does say "I'm thankful for everything your father did" to Gladio in the game. Also, he was there in the FFXV brotherhood anime too.
I think the #1 best things they could add would be an "Episode Ardyn"!!! Think about it! Covering exactly what happened between him, the crystal, the starscorge, and "Izunia" would recontextualize the entire ending. Just give him the same basic abilities as Noctis, use one of the half finished locations, and give us an hour or so playing as Ardyn. Cover how he was usurped and cast out, and how he became the host of the starscourge. I think just adding this (maybe as a 10$ DLC?) would add so much weight to the already dramatic ending.
Remember when Gladiolos left the party for a while, then when he came back he had new scars .... what happened there? He specifically says "you should see the other guy" so I assume he was fighting someone and not just the general stuff at the power plant.
lol i watched the kingsglaive and didnt even know Gladios got a father lol Edit, you also make more sense explaining the story and the missed opportunities of the game... i did finish the game the other night and felt alot of things is missing and doesnt make sense.
For the longest time, I wondered why the nights were getting longer other than it was a curse or magic. The only information in game that I found about it was on a note in Hammerhead outpost in the world of ruin. Maybe it was mentioned. I didn't do all the quests so I'm not sure how that light absorbing particle relates to the demons. There's also no origin lore for the Star Scourge.
episode gladio might mention some on clarius, gilgimesh collects swords of heros maybe he collected clarius' s sword ? kinda a hopeing something like that happens
i personally think clarus wasnt thought of until kingsglaive. in xv, they probably wanted to have him pass a while ago and since, never really given much thought. but square probably thought he was neccessary in kingsglaive and put him in, forgetting that they didnt intend to use him in xv and therefore didnt put him in at all. who knows, maybe comrads?
Well, the Ultimania talks about some things that aren't talked about in game; I'm sure you can find a translation somewhere, or if you can read kana you can just buy the thing.
Senpai Solo when I think about it, that achieves the goal of "a world based on reality" important shit happens in the background and you always have to piece together what you are told XD
I love how when they delayed this game from September 30th to November 29th, Squares excuse was to include the day 1 patch so those without internet can experience the perfection of FFXV. (It was clearly delayed to optimize for the PS4 Pro and even that doesn't have the 60fps patch and a couple fps drops every here and there) November 29th, day 1 patch. Tabata "Hey we'll update the game to finish it!"
Plus it's debatable whether or not those corpses were real, the way they just "disappear" kind of suggested to me that it was just Ardyn messing with Noctis.
Lord Delow Yes that's right, but what I disliked was that in the end we didn't get an explanation of why Lunafreya came "back to life" (if she ever was dead).I mean, imagine your fiancé being dead but then she suddenly comes back and you marry her...not questioning how she came back and what exactly happened to her.Well, that's what left me unhappy when I finished the game but yeah maybe I just missed something... (I know this comment doesn't really fit here but since you already mentioned Lunafreya and how she was hanging in the throne room, I thought I'd just leave it here)
Em Tron you know that scene with Luna and Noctis at the end is the afterlife right? game specifically tells you that noctis has to sacrifice himself to fulfill his role in ending ardyn. so she didn't come back to life they are both very much dead.
Another plot hole was Kingsglaive and the beginning of FF15. King Regis know's that Iedolas is going to double-cross him, so he sends Noctis out of Insomnia to an area where he has no protection (to protect him, go figure), then Regis basically invites Iedolas into his city to stomp him into the ground and massacre his population. There's 2 ways to look at this then: 1) really poor writing to manufacture a conflict to base a movie off of and to start a game from, or 2) King Regis was just a really shitty king.
BlackSilhouette I disagree. The double-cross shows that King Regis was a crappy ruler, before he let his kingdom get demolished. His actions make no sense: rather than launch an attack on Niflheim and try to end the war, while understanding that some losses are necessary, King Regis decided instead to wait until his powers are fading, invite his enemy into his shielded city, and let everyone but his son, his son's group, and Cor, die. He let EVERYBODY die. The people that double-crossed King Regis had no bearing on King Regis dying, only on affecting Nyx's and Luna's escape from the city. The only double-cross that really even mattered was Titus Drautos, who turned out to be Glauca. Glauca killed King Regis all by himself. Aside from Glauca, the double-crosses were pointless and unnecessary.
Adam Nichols Stronger writing would've lead to Regis' clairvoyance being more of a warning than a foretelling. He'd know he had a possibility of surviving the attack and set up a much better defense and actually evacuate Insomnia. But ultimately still die. That struggle and demise would've pushed Noctis further. Especially if he could've at least witnessed his father die.
chrissk08 The conflict that was the push for FF15 felt manufactured to me, rather than realistic. I wish the story was better written and stronger, but FF15 went through so many developmental setbacks, at least SquEnix finally shoved it out the door rather than delaying it yet again and risking the campaign being even crappier
chrissk08 Your idea is much better (and realistic) than what Square-Enix went with. Noctis should have had to escape the attack on Insomnia. King Regis knowing he'll be double-crossed, so he sends his son away, but expects a girl he hasn't seen in 12 years, and thus doesn't know if he can trust her, to bring the ring to Noctis is so stupid.
Well, Noctis was being groomed to die for something he barely understood. So both Regis and Luna are pieces of shit. Especially Regis which I actually liked :/
I sent this video to Square Enix and hope they see it. So many questions. I waited 10 years for this game since I saw the first versus 13 trailer, just like many of you. Here are some things that need to be fixed and answered. (SOME SPOILERS) -Why is Cor immortal? and who is he really? -More on promto's origins. When you find out about his origins it is just way to underwhelming. This should impact the game heavily and feel more emotional. -We need to see the empire falling. It is just way to rushed -We need more of the world of ruin. They scrapped a complete Dark Lestallum. We need to see cid, cindy, araena, cor, iris, etc -Ardyns final form was scrapped. They need to add that in. -They cut out to much of Lunas story and made it to underwhelming. Final fantasy is so good at making us emotionally invested, and the game was still amazing the way it is. But there is just way to much left out.
I'm sure money was somewhat an issue to this as well being a 10 year long process. I really enjoyed the game regardless and I'll replay the story when the content patch releases. And I think it was mentioned if I remember that the story was supposed to be mostly what Noctis knows, so it kind of makes sense some stuff would be unexplained.
Correct me if I'm wrong but, I thought that because the King died no one was able to use magic, I could understand that Noct could because he is the King's son, and that the rest of the team could because they are next to Noct. But they don't do referenced it, like "Hey, Are we going to be able to materialize our weapons now that the King is dead?". Just a hint, didn't even have to expand on it.
I would of liked to see Noctis somehow heal Ignis eyesight, as a way to thank him for his sacrifice after the leviathan battle and Noctis's 10 year absence.
Finished the game. currently went back in time to grind to the highest level. after the patches im going to play it again just for the story alone. the more i hear about what square missed the more this game pisses me off.
I heard they're adding to chapter XIII but I also heard it's already happened? Apparently the notes weren't there before. Idk, but I hope they add more.
*** MASSIVE GAME SPOILERS AHEAD *** The fact that time travel is never mentioned bugs me. I predicted it months ago upon seeing older Noctis. But the devices they use are so strange - Gladio, Ignis and Prompto just accept that Noctis got sucked away by a crystal?! What?! TIME TRAVELLING DOG?!? What?!?! It makes no freaking sense whatsoever. Also, where is Pryna? The Omen trailer feels like a red herring too, though it's full of foreshadowing about Ardyn not evil Noctis as most people thought. The whole horror game feel of Gralea just made me feel hemmed in and unhappy. I really did not like the fact that SE made these characters for us to love, knowing we'd waited ten years, absolutely let us fall for the personalities and the structure of the game and ended it with "they all died, btw here's a dream sequence." That, after such an epic journey, felt like a huge let down. The graphics are beautiful. Everything is spot on. But the story falls flat and this is what people go on the journey of all FF's for. They left us with no hope. All FF's have hope. Gralea dragged because Noctis was sitting in each room where he rested, either totally depressed and sleeping while sitting up and I just sat there sobbing while he did. It was a huge slog for me. An emotional ending is good. A depressing one? Not so much. I know people who've had to warn others not to play this because of the time of year and because of how crappy this year has been. I was so hoping FFXV would be the shining beacon that would raise me from just a plethora of awfulness. Nope!!!!!!! When they walked into the throne room and you see Ravus, Luna, Regis and Nyx hanging from the ceiling, I was just....... like, I get the need for dark undertones but that felt like too much. You choose a nice picture then have to walk Noct under his dead dad, dead fiancee, her brother and a member of the former Glaive who died to protect him?! No thanks, Square Enix! The fight was fine. But when they said goodbye on the Citadel stairs..... and it mirrored their last visit there from when they said goodbye to Regis. I mean, it was just horrible. I knew the only reason Gladio would leave Noctis's side was to die. Because Clarus had already done it for Regis. At this point, I was just beyond wrecked emotionally. Then something even more terrible happened. He got to the throne. When he calls the Kings, it's pretty badass but... Regis shows up and he can't look at him. He faces the wall. In the Dawn trailer, Regis cried because he knew he had to end Noctis's life. That was what the crystal showed him. All that time, he knew. How can you kill your own child? Even in the last moments, Noct has to practically beg him and when he does it, he wears the armour. I believe this is out of shame. He can't face Noct. As he wields the blade, he starts to scream. All the afterlife stuff just kind of flew by for me. I was just... paralysed by the horror. Didn't care about Luna's cameo, Ardyn's fate, none of it. The second I saw Ignis, Gladio and Prompto in the afterlife, I felt like it was the end of it all, to be honest. The after-dream where Luna and Noct are together... ffff. Yeah. Who even cares? I was just so done. So, so done. I hoped for a tie-in with SOMETHING good. Nope. You don't even see the people benefit from Noct's triumph, just the dawn. No Cid, no Cor, no Cindy, no Iris. Also, you mention Cor being unlucky - he outlived all of them, except Cid. I think that's a pretty awful thing for him. I know people will disagree. The ending is the ending. Full of bravery and all that. And yeah, it was nice to hate a bad guy again. I figured out that the reason he has One Wing on his coat is a Sephiroth reference because he's the first bad guy to kill a female protagonist since Seph killed Aerith. Some interesting references. I was hoping Ravus might be the Seifer of the group and show it. Seems like I was partially right but Niflheim is so weak that it doesn't even seem important. There's a lot I love about this game. Probably 90% but that 10% was such an important chunk that I didn't want to go back to the game afterwards which is what I'd been raring to do a few days before! What's the point? You know what happens! It won't change anything... unless Umbra has some magical ability we don't yet know about. But considering everything, I'm not going to hold on for any kind of hope there. Also: Ignis deserved better.
Emily Ryan I agree entirely with this. I have alwaya been a fans of Empire themed villains. My favorite being Emperor Mateus from FFII but even his Empire had more importance and backstory than Nifelheim in XV, hell even the empire from FFXII had more importance. I was expecting a true final bout against Iedolas but no, instead we got a super linear ghost city with a random Iedolas as a final boss. I didnt even know it was him until one of the party members mentioned him. That was a huge let down and also, most of the empires enemies are just MT. Where is Diamond weapons? The game had so much potential into be the best ff narrative wise but no. The game is beautiful in every other aspect but dropped the ball hard on the events and storytelling.
Exactly! After everything that happens, all we go through with the boys, there's no going back to the easy going days. Doesn't matter if we restart the game or use Umbra to visit the past, it's all bitterly tainted with the knowledge of what's to come. It's heart breaking. That's why I'm praying with all my heart that maybe, just MAYBE, as the story gets fleshed out and the main plot grows, they'll give us the possibility to unlock different endings and outcomes. That said though, I still loved the adventure and, if nothing else, the first half of this game gives me a lot of hope for the future of the franchise.
The dog's (umbra) ability to time travel is not cannon so you can't include it as a storyline flaw. It could have been a cat, a chocobo or anything else for that matter since it was just done purely for the sake of gameplay convenience so that the player can continue exploring Lucis and Altissia anytime they want to.
Emily Ryan to the core of it all the story is fine, it's the details they need to fill in, hope dlc can fix that. The only Victor's go to the people of Eos. No more kings no more crystals no more God's, no more demons. Everyone needed to die for this to happen. Everyone achieved what they wanted Ardyn won, eliminated God's and Luci bloodline, Noctis won defeated the darkness returned the light , Eos won world peace and harmony. The ending was bittersweet. It's almost similar to the lightening returns ending... Except everyone got reincarnated in a new world in that story. Just my opinions. It could have been better told but I can see and understand what they tried to do,and from my understanding its a fantastic story.
I honestly am so sad they cut Cor out of so much of the game, he was the character I was looking forward to most, and when they said he'd rejoin your party permanently at the end of the game I was so excited to hear he'd be a part of the team. Honestly at this point I'd just like a way to hire the temp. party members whenever I please.
One of my biggest questions is what happens with Prompto and Cindy, and Aranea (idk how to spell it) But he said he liked both and when you go back and everyones old, there is no light shinned on the subject
I really like this game but man, they really fucked up the story. So many simple things they could have done to make it so much better. Finding Ravus dead and just taking the sword pissed me off.
It would be also good to see them give Prompto a romantic interest to explore either with Iris, Cindy or Aranea. And to see if there are any plans in any expansions for Ignis to maybe get his sight back or drop out of the party due to the difficulties of being blind and taking a back seat to allow Iris, Cor or Aranea a more prominent role in the party.
Kingsglaive should've been a playable story, not a movie. They could've pulled a KH2, play as Nyx through the Kingsglaive story and at the end switch over to Noctis. Kingsglaive would've gave a clear intro to the overall story and conflict, and develop Luna better.
Yes!!
You forgot about Prompto's plot twist that just got thrown in there.
And it was never touched upon in the game again.
will probably be dlc but still wtf lol. ill give this game a few months to see what they add and then ill do a second playthrough
PurplePlayer99 That's kind of what I'm doing. I already beat the game, but I have no interest in beating it again right now.
Dreamer Dawn ya the other problem is telling part of the main story through random notes through game
+Javus I have to say, I watched Brotherhood and Kingsglaive (twice) and I felt much the same as you anyway.
What a fucking mess, no one rushes a RPG like Square. It is not quite Xenogears levels of content being cut, but it is up there.
They literally didn't have enough time to complete the story, Tabata was under orders from SE CEO's to release the game before the end of 2016.
Brian MacLeod Which is sad. Fuck u Square.
its was in development for 10 years and will not even break even on sales due to its massive development. The delays were not the problem it was the lack of focus for 7 of the games development years.
Idk, it was in development on and off for a decade. Doesn't take that long to write a decent story and put it together. Seems like a lack of focus in terms of story telling to me.
Gentle Singularity Just flat out fucking wrong. Do a google search.
So does the development for the ps3 Versus XIII version not count?
There was so much potential for great story telling ..
Like imagine an exploreable Nifflehim and Insomina (pre-timeskip), maybe there we could have had more scenes with both the empire and linking characters from kingsglaive into the game thus giving it more depth.
really hope that Aranea or iris, becomes a party member someday via a patch or update.
Corey Mckee and Cor
Maiaer yes👍
Corey Mckee you could still do the Aranea glitch to have her permanently in your party if you wish.
Carl Beaumier isent it patched? How would I do it??
Corey Mckee it's not, I still have her in my party. Search on TH-cam to know how, it's a little tricky.
I hope everyone knows that a lot got cut from this game last minute because they didn't have the time to finish it up. The top brass at Square gave them a bad deadline of 2016. They (Tabata and his development team) had originally planned for a 2017 or 2018 release.
BlackSilhouette this one is different. can't really explain you gotta look up the development timelin
BlackSilhouette timeline*
For expansions and DLC I would give all the monies for a DLC where we play as Ardyn and see his history.
Nayukhuut did u like it?
I'm just extremely PISSED OFF that in a Final Fantasy game we have one of the most poor storytelling i've ever seen.
The most important reason why ALL of us ff fans fell in love with this series, it's stories, is now something that the developement team would gladly push into the background... Just like some kind of eastern Ubisoft?
"Here, let them have one or two cutscene to watch while doing the actual game: sidequests"
Dear Square Enix you reeeally need to rethink your priorities or you'll screw up the FFVII remake...
Marino Mele also the fact that they used ifrit as part of the final boss sequence was kinda shitty, sure it was fun but jesus a summon for a final boss? Na BRUh. Should've added another form to ardyn.
I was totally looking for it!
When I beat him I was like "ok, easy one... now here comes the transfor.... nope, credits..."
Marino Mele reminds me of that one game.... i think its called Destiny..hmmm.. not suuuuurrree
All those daemons Ardyn had inside of him to save the people in ages past, coming out to give him some type of giant monster form on a Leviathan's scale/size would have been nice.
i cried at the end, in disappointment.
***** I hope so.
What happen if DLC is the option to let us switch out party members for iris, aranea, cor and Dave? XD i will surely get that XD
Insuspected Rulling it has been said that the multiplayer dlc which comes after the 3 character dlc's will allow us to do that. Nothing about Dave being playable though.
FFXV needed another delay. lol.
As crazy as we may have gotten, they really should have delayed it for maybe even another year just to add to the story.
FROG dela POND As pissed as I would've been, you're absolutely right. And I LOVE this game.
I would rather them delay as well just to make a better storytelling.. For me, gameplay wise, it looks great, but story wise, it is weak but will be a big potential if it is done correctly...
Yeah you might be right lol
Joseph Moquin This is true. That's why it's not truly the developers fault. But what they did do with the time, was damn fantastic
just downloaded the new game plus update but gonna wait till they update the game with more cutscenes and story content as they planned. really great game but sad that we dident get more on the empire and Nifleheim..
*_all of this_*
Corey Mckee same here
Saaaaaaaaaaaame.
We know very well.
And we love them anyway because they made our childhoods great.
And we just can't let go.
Fuck Square.
MalakiaLaGatta what a complicated relationship we have with Square eh?
This game had so much potential to being the best.... fuck FUCK!!!!
why square... just why 😭😭
DukstarGaming Agreed the gameplay and open world was nice and I did feel for the characters, but the story hurts it so much that it just feels weird. I honestly don't know how adding cutscenes will help, but we will see.
I think if they flesh out some of these key points, it might save the game ^o^
DukstarGaming I think they may try to fix it hopefully.I see them giving more content then they are telling and Ill buy it quick.
How about "What the hell is happening during leviathans summon?"
Here's a far out one:
...How
did Gladio get that tattoo?
When? Why?
Shite, man!😂😂😂 So controversial! We don't know, okay!? Gladio doesn't even know dammit!😭
Come to think of it, that could've been a small cutscene between Noct and Gladio and it could've been really funny and endearing.
Shit, Square...
Alessandro Moosa
The young Gladiolus in flashbacks during Brotherhood didn't have any lol, what made him get it?
LASHINGS UK His summer trip to Hawaii.
Is it really necesary to know?
He and his husband got matching tats on their honeymoon. You missed that part?
I hope we get a Chapter Select option, where it shows what parts have been updated.
Do you mean this guy? (0:46) ~Lauren
In the Guidebook, they call him Crailas Amiticia, father of Gladio & Iris and also using the guy at 0:46
By the way, totally subbed :D This is some great content
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video :) ~Lauren
Glauca had so much potential if he would have been a boss in the game.. sadly we may never see him in the game. but I'm remaining hopeful 😊
he's dead
Noctis Caelum I know that. But she did say in the video that it would have been possible
Corey Mckee wish he was still in though
You know you actually fight him? But hes just a high level Yojimbo with a different name.
I only want to know where the starscourge came from and how the kings were chosen xD
No mention of Libertus or Galahd? I was totally hoping for Libertus to hand the party the Kingsglaive garbs.
(I wrote this before watching the full video and I see the creator also points out how Ravus was dealt with)
Your explanations and ideas are fantastic!
And funny how Libertus, a surviving member of the Kingsglaive, did not make a single appearance in FFXV.
Tony Teh FFXV:Comrades
What they did to Clarus is really DISAPPOINTING
This is a well constructed video not born by hate for the game but by love for the game... And i agree with every point. So much amazing potential lost. It just sux this will probably never reach the developers. But if it was possible for them to see atleast 1 video consirning explenations and plot holes.. I hope they see this one...
Thank you for your kind words :) ~Lauren
Final Fantasy Union
Np, i love the game too. Some ppl say it's our own fault for having higher expectations but i disagree. The way they advertised it was that it was going to be a complete story but there is too much missing. So much that it feels incomplete. (Like Verstael/Iedolas being almost absent from the game...)
My biggest fantasy is that they add a new prologue chapter where we play as Cor during Insomnia invasion and we see what's happening... One can only dream right?
Can you talk about Prompto next? The talk about him being an MT or from Neifleheim isn't explained at all..
The battle with his father in the secret passage, where he got killed by gluaca, and this is for really for the father and son feeling wich would bring the players and Noctis to tears by that he was sorry for not telling the true purpouse of the profecy with the last king of light and for not doing a proper farwell when he set of on his journey. and finaly the battle with Luna wich would be set on the plane fields of tenebrea, where Luna said goodbye to Noctis, and she would be telling her feelings for noctis, and that she was excited for the wedding and showing him illusions of them having an happy life together, and with his father and bros, this would totally whreck Noctis and me. and this giving more hate towards Ardyn, and then After the battle he appers in the throne room to take the final fight towards Ardyn
i wrote the the battles in that specific order to ramp up the emotions so If there are any questions or things u want to change feel free :D
same here
after I started the game I stopped when they announced an update to improve the story
for the me the most important aspect of any final fantasy game is the story I hope they do it right
Well, then you would need to wait for a long number of months. Probably the cutscenes (with the announced new playable parts) are going to be launch after the season pass content.
We're getting NG+ though.
I really thought it would end with you going around rebuilding your team, then having the chance to fight the most OP daemons (like the weapons) before going to Insomnia. i was hoping to go back and kill That lvl 90 demonwall thing for a hunt
this is the final fantasy version of the Batman v Superman movie.
My duuuuuuuddeee 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
King OatMeal i dont get it
marckery blanchard Batman v Superman had ALOT of plot holes, but still a decent movie overall. Same as with Final Fantasy 15 having a lot of plot holes, and still being a decent game.
King OatMeal oh, well hopefully they will fill in those plotholes like BvS ultimate edition
I think the "final fantasy version of Metal Gear Solid 5" is a hell of a lot more apt than that.
This game story is an unforgivable mess! so much deception...
His eyes....Holy shit he could be bahamut in human form! Mind=BlownTfAway
Great video. Personally, finding out how the top dog from niflheim ended up as a daemon, is top priority.
DEFINITELY. I didn't even know until I'd pretty much finished the game and did some research that the daemon WAS the emperor ^^;
More scenes about the origin of the plague of the stars, Ifrit, and Ardyn, there is a lot about these 3 open to expeculation D:
Some say that Glauca was a Hunt target of: "Dead General Slays The King".
I'd love to play her! She's so bad-ass ^o^ I enjoyed watching her kick butt as a guest character, but definitely want to see more of her.
If you wanted too, you can permanently glitch her into your party. She'll appear in pics, dialogue, link-strikes, etc. And basically go wherever you do, she'll even follow you into new game plus until about chapter 2 when Cor joins your party.
Loved Aranea too! She is a mix between Kain and Ligthining (without a broom in her ass). Also she is really nice looking.
Having never watched Kingsglaive, I didn't even realise Gladio's father was part of it! Definitely a missed opportunity there.
Cor's appearances were so random - I actually thought he was going to be a traitor! ^^;
I really want more on the Niflheim politics - I had a problem with the lack of content regarding Ravus, Aranea, and Iedolus...
Agreed, I mean they do make a point of highlighting Bahamut's eyes. Thanks for commenting :) ~Lauren
Your so dam right!
TheMixEmperor yeah my faith in SquareEnix is utterly broken. This is entering my shelf of finished games and by the time they release compensation patch i dont think i would be giving a damn.
I like how the emperor just... dies... like he dies. Oh he's a monster who I didn't even recognize was the emperor because I only heard his name like 3 times.
if ff15 shows us anything, its that tabata was not ready for a main ff entry on console.
taking a jrpg and turning it into a western rpg is a no no
So sadly true...
trippleknowswhatsup Definitely. It was obviously a bussiness decision to get as many games done as possible
How is FFXV a western rpg?
Lulcy more ARPG than JRPG
He specifically says "you should see the other guy" so I assume he was fighting someone and not just the general stuff at the power plant.
lol i watched the kingsglaive and didnt even know Gladios got a father lol
Edit, you also make more sense explaining the story and the missed opportunities of the game... i did finish the game the other night and felt alot of things is missing and doesnt make sense.
I like what they did here, they gave us enough story and left a lot open for our own interpretation and guessing. Sort of how the Souls series does.
episode gladio might mention some on clarius, gilgimesh collects swords of heros maybe he collected clarius' s sword ? kinda a hopeing something like that happens
i personally think clarus wasnt thought of until kingsglaive. in xv, they probably wanted to have him pass a while ago and since, never really given much thought. but square probably thought he was neccessary in kingsglaive and put him in, forgetting that they didnt intend to use him in xv and therefore didnt put him in at all.
who knows, maybe comrads?
Wait...... So on top of the DLC packs... We'll get *free* updates that add to the main story?
That's what they've said, we'll see what happens. xD ~Lauren
Well, the Ultimania talks about some things that aren't talked about in game; I'm sure you can find a translation somewhere, or if you can read kana you can just buy the thing.
Man if they show the stuff that was going on at the background this would have been great.
Senpai Solo when I think about it, that achieves the goal of "a world based on reality" important shit happens in the background and you always have to piece together what you are told XD
I wanna know how Ignis lost his eyes.
How Lunafreya's brother died and turned into a demon.
Promto's back story.
I love how when they delayed this game from September 30th to November 29th, Squares excuse was to include the day 1 patch so those without internet can experience the perfection of FFXV. (It was clearly delayed to optimize for the PS4 Pro and even that doesn't have the 60fps patch and a couple fps drops every here and there)
November 29th, day 1 patch.
Tabata "Hey we'll update the game to finish it!"
Iedolas, Regis, Luna, and Cor are hanging by chains in the throne room in chapter 15. I think that explains what happened to Cor by chapter 15.
That's not Cor though, it's Nyx. ~Lauren
Plus it's debatable whether or not those corpses were real, the way they just "disappear" kind of suggested to me that it was just Ardyn messing with Noctis.
Cor? Nyx was hanging in the throne room, Cor was out slaying demons with Iris
Dear god I hope these patches and DLC fulfill my crave for story in this game. Plz square never fuck up another story again.
(SOME SPOILERS)
-Why is Cor immortal? and who is he really?
-More on promto's origins. When you find out about his origins it is just way to underwhelming. This should impact the game heavily and feel more emotional.
-We need to see the empire falling. It is just way to rushed
-We need more of the world of ruin. They scrapped a complete Dark Lestallum. We need to see cid, cindy, araena, cor, iris, etc
-Ardyns final form was scrapped. They need to add that in.
-They cut out to much of Lunas story and made it to underwhelming. Final fantasy is so good at making us emotionally invested, and the game was still amazing the way it is. But there is just way to much left out.
I knew it, I really liked Cor and was wondering why we aren't seeing him anymore.
Perhaps Clarus will be mentioned on Episode Gladio
I would of liked to see Noctis somehow heal Ignis eyesight, as a way to thank him for his sacrifice after the leviathan battle and Noctis's 10 year absence.
Finished the game. currently went back in time to grind to the highest level. after the patches im going to play it again just for the story alone. the more i hear about what square missed the more this game pisses me off.
I heard they're adding to chapter XIII but I also heard it's already happened? Apparently the notes weren't there before. Idk, but I hope they add more.
A plot hole isn't a lack of information on a topic, it's an element of a plotline that runs counter to other elements in the plot.
*** MASSIVE GAME SPOILERS AHEAD ***
The fact that time travel is never mentioned bugs me.
My thoughts 1on1
Emily Ryan to the core of it all the story is fine, it's the details they need to fill in, hope dlc can fix that.
Sou brasileiro e seu canal é muito bom!!!
a franquia FF é minha favorita 😃
I honestly am so sad they cut Cor out of so much of the game, he was the character I was looking forward to most, and when they said he'd rejoin your party permanently at the end of the game I was so excited to hear he'd be a part of the team.
Honestly at this point I'd just like a way to hire the temp. party members whenever I please.
What about an episode Aranea and Episode Cor and episode Iris Aranea is definitely possible since she can be made a permanent party member
One of my biggest questions is what happens with Prompto and Cindy, and Aranea (idk how to spell it) But he said he liked both and when you go back and everyones old, there is no light shinned on the subject
Zanji Prompto stayed at Hammerhead fighting Demons to impress Cindy....Cindy was really married to her work. Talcott told you this.
Zanji Let me not say "to impress", but he was fighting daemons at Hammerhead lol
Walter well yes I remember, but they missed a HUGE opportunity with it
Zanji Yes indeed they fucking did 😭
I really like this game but man, they really fucked up the story.
