- Wilhelm’s Portland Memorial Mausoleum is a “city within a city” that holds some 97,000 souls and is one of the largest mausoleums on the West Coast.
The century-old mausoleum has been expanded over the years into a seemingly endless labyrinth of hallways and staircases. Beautiful resting places for all the souls ❤ superb detail and stained glass
Loving this- actually one of my favorite places to explore
Stunning
Discovered this place while on a walk after moving to Sellwood. It's so huge and some parts of it look so old. It gives off the weirdest vibes like there's something secret going on there. Maybe there's a reason 97000 souls are needed in this one location.
I would love to have the job of touring this establishment
Hope its endowment fund is in good shape.
I hate doing high "placements" (to the ceiling) and high placements with double shutters. ⚰
Here, lve it- total good edition- ))
I want to live there ❤

And to think how many people could be fed, housed and taken care of with all the money that goes to this totally unnecessary endeavor.
People are fed housed all the time
Yes a waste of space and resources
@@markflint2629 It shows what privilege people have while, others struggle to survive.
And why do you feel telling other people how to honor their loved ones is your business? It is not your money, it is not your loved one. It is not your decision.
@@wendellellisedwards2109 because I have opinions and am allowed to state them. I do believe it's something in the constitution.
Billions of dollars gone to waste...
