  • A favorite of Napoleon? Maybe yes maybe no. Perhaps it will soon become your favorite. 2 packs, 8 foundations, 12 piles, manipulate 96 cards to build up all foundations and win the game named after the South Atlantic island.

    Great tutorial! It's so interesting how it's debated which game was Nepoleon's favorite. So far both are enjoyable.

    Do you build up or down on the tableau, or does it not matter?

    what is the opinion on peeking, in the tableau piles, at the bottom card (to check if it's an Ace or King) or the card under a top card on stack.. to see if it reveals something better than another pile might reveal?

      Hmm. Interesting philosophical question ... for the beginner I would say try the peek and see if it helps learn the game and learn strategy. But once you've gotten it down, I might try to resist the peek! My two cents. Thanks for writing!

      @Solitaire With The Card Guy thanks so much for the reply! I've really enjoyed having this game set up at my desk at work as a better way to pass time during automated tasks than staring at my screen nonstop all day 😊

    two doubts: only the king can fill an empty pile, or any letter? And what is the chance of winning the game?

    Can you reshuffle as many times as you want/need? Or can you only reshuffle once then you lose the game if you're out of moves again?

    I like this game but is there another name for it? Everywhere I look this game is associated with 40 thieves.

      Have also seen this same game named Napolean's Favorite, Washington's Favorite, and Privileged Four.

    Can you go up and down in the same pile ex 2,3,4,3,2 or can you only go in one direction

    • @SolitaireWithTheCardGuy
      @SolitaireWithTheCardGuy  ปีที่แล้ว

      Either direction. They may be built up OR down regardless of suit but the sequence is NOT circular. Hope that helps!

    Can you take cards out of the foundation to help reveal another card?

    • @SolitaireWithTheCardGuy
      @SolitaireWithTheCardGuy  ปีที่แล้ว

      The foundations are always built up or down IN SUIT, so you can swap cards between foundations provided you maintain that. Moving foundation cards back to tableau piles is not mentioned in the official rules. Hope the helps!

    what do you do with the jokers

  • @voidzy4536
    @voidzy4536 ปีที่แล้ว

    Do you just re deal till you you win or do you just get one.

    • @voidzy4536

      Also, can you move a card from the foundations to the piles if you need to

    • @SolitaireWithTheCardGuy
      @SolitaireWithTheCardGuy  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the note! Yes, 2 redeals are permitted. To reveal, pick up the piles counterclockwise, beginning with the last pile making a new hand. Deal again into twelve piles as far as the cards will go. Good luck!

    • @SolitaireWithTheCardGuy
      @SolitaireWithTheCardGuy  ปีที่แล้ว

      During the first deal, no. At the the re-deals, restrictions are lifted and you can move liberally. Best of luck!

    es mas lo que se tarda uno preparando el juego en la mesa, que lo que aparecen en quedarnos sin jugadas o movimientos 😂
