I just did this today and it kicked my ass royally. I was training before I went here but apparently it was not good enough unfortunately I did not make the damn summit. I’m so disappointed in myself. I missed it by 750 feet by the time I got there I was so nauseated and gassed I just couldn’t make it. I knew that if I push myself that hard I wouldn’t of been able to get down lol cause I barely made it down three solid hours of pure torture going down those hills. I was so mad. I’ve never wanna see another rock again in my life.

Wheeler Peak is no joke. It may not be a 14er but it’s TOUGH. I did it in two days a few years ago and that still sucked.
