@@sable747 No but it is easier with a metal door. Get self tapping metal screws from the local hardware store. The screw will self drill into the metal door and you are good to go! Don't over tighten.
Watching after hanging my spice rack after i bought it 4 years ago. And my door is probably hallow too. I added 4 extra screws to support it. My first time using a drill may i add, i never did because it scared me and did not know how to use it but know that i do, oh boy 😊!!!!
Nice video Roland, We put up white wire racks in our inside of our pantry and sometimes they seem to be wobbly, but his application they are going nowhere, thank you for sharing!
Noice. I wonder if it would bump up the holding power if you could somehow get some pl in the hole before application too so it hardened on both sides. Very cool idea/hack thanks for sharing.
I have shelves i want to mount to a door just like this. My question is however, that when i line it up on the door the pre drilled holes for the screws don't end up on the solid part of the door they end up on the recessed part of the door. Can it still be done or should i fill in those holes and make my own. Also what sort of a weight limit do these doors have? like the shelves have a 5kg weight limit and i wanted to put 3 or 4 on each door, would this be too much for the door?
This is good, but I want it to work on the hinges. My only solution for the hinges was installing a flat metal sheet and then installing the hinges because once the hinge holes are shit, you can't do shit lol
@@GettingItDoneRepairs Oh that works great. Sorry, I was referring to Metal doors with hollow insides. So, things like wood dowels would just fall in it since the housing of the door is soo thin. Just sharing my problems with you haha! And thank for the reply. I was not expecting it.

Would the steps be the same if you have a metal door? I want to mount a metal rack (for mail).

Would this method work for hanging a long and heavy mirror?

That's awesome!
Thanks for the useful tips! I have holes in a hollow door now from where a paper towel holder fell off. LOL
Not much longer, now you can combat it. Thanks for watching 😀
I would never of thought of using that good idea
Thanks, it works great! I don't think I'd hang a microwave off it but who knows! 🤣
This is a very helpful tip for mounting a spice rack to hollow door! 😊
Glad you like it, hope it helps you. I'm sure it will.

PL adhesive?
Is hollow door and hollow wall anchors the same thing?
My apologies how do you prevent the PL from getting hard and drying out inside the tube in order to continue to use it again and again

Thank you!
You bet!
I can't get those metal anchors to screw flat into the hollow door. They protrude out just a tad. So the rack you attach, wont be flush on the door.
Without seeing it I don't know
Maybe the hole you drilled is a bit too small? Or maybe use a powered screw driver.
Is PL liquid nail type stuff?
It's like a thick paste.
@@GettingItDoneRepairs thank you! Great video as always 💚
@@urbanhomesteadingchannel1813 thank you 😊
Does it work on drywall too?
Yes
How do you prevent the PL from getting hard
You can put a screw in the end of the tube or watch this. th-cam.com/users/shorts86yyZqcU8x8?feature=share

Did you try inserting wood dowel in the holes
