@Enescu there is a Video Of Yundi Li plays Chopin 4th Ballade and at the fermata on the dominant just before the coda a lot of people started to clapping. And he was like not yet🤦🏻
@@GhilledApallo well I guess if you compare it to that then this does seem quite simply composed, but I was thinking that you were referring to all of classical music.
@@efmusic04 I remember back in high school when I was learning this and was confused by how it could be classified as a 'Grade 8' level piece, given it's technical simplicity compared to most other pieces at that level (since it's the highest level of your standard grading). But I had my teacher explain to me the difficulty in this particular piece has nothing to do with the technical aspect, but rather getting the expression right, since it's easily one of Chopin's most expressive pieces.
Amazing as all your works! It is honor to be part of this community :) Edit: Could you play Chopin’s nocturne in c minor op 48 no. 1? I would love to hear your interpretation. Ablsolutely love your channel!!!❤️
I learnt the first part of the piece but was never motivated to learn the second one.. Such a beautiful piece Chopin gave us there, beautiful interpretation !
Another one of my favorites. If you continue playing Chopin nocturnes, you may hit my all time favorite piano piece in existence. Again, your playing Traum...wow.
Ok I have watched this channel long enough while being quiet... Traum, you are a wonderful pianist and I only can dream of being as good as you one day... I am happy to be here now today, at the early beginning of this channel.. thank you so much for everything and keep up this marvellous work... Btw you ask in the description of your videos if people have suggestions... And since I think you could do it, I would very much to hear liszt's Totentanz, one of my favorite pieces of classical music. Thanks again!
@@MisterPathetique we just have different opinion about this, personnaly I prefer traum's interpretations becaus it's always calm and that's how I feel the music, for example if you listen to traum's clair de lune, you'll see that it's kinda a slow interpretation with a lot of dynamics. My teacher tells me that it's almost always too much, that you need to respect the score a bit more but I've always felt the music this way
@@jejzis4244 Okay I'll try to reply more seriously. What do you even mean by calm? Slow? Because Traum doesn't play any slower than other interpreters. I'm going to tell you what upsets me the most about these videos. I think Traum is an excellent pianist (even compared to Rousseau, Kassia and others). He doesn't abuse the pedal, has good imagination, great phrasing, let alone his technique. I'm pretty sure he's a professional musician. But this isn't a concert hall, it's TH-cam. There's a greater emphasis on visuals, which is good, but it's also achieved at the expense of sound quality. The piano he's playing sounds terrible. I'm sure Traum is aware of that, this kind of instrument doesn't allow for much dynamics, coloring and other subtleties. It just sounds very bland. I'd be very curious to hear what his playing sounds like on an acoustic grand. But this video as it stands simply does not provide a great sound experience, because of its very nature. The visuals are what matter the most here. If you want a great musical experience (on this particular piece), I would suggest you listen to Barenboim, Arrau, Ashkenazy, Sokolov or even the rather unorthodox interpretation of Pletnev.
I discovered you yesterday and it has been a most pleasant 48 hours, thank you. You play with far more drama and focus than Rousseau - I hope this channel blows up soon. Also, I would love to see some Brahms - he's often overlooked. I especially love his sonata no. 1, though that might be asking for too much of your time XD All the best

This is my favorite recording of this piece with synthesia visualizer (As I mostly look at the video while listening to the piece). We also have Kassia and Rousseau's recording, but still, I prefer Traum's recording because, a) The version of this nocturne that Kassia plays is not the one I like. b) Rousseau's recording is of the version I prefer, but the sound of the piano is just too soft. I know it's supposed to be a nocturne but, that's just too soft. So yeah, but I don't that their recordings are a piece of s***. Obviously, they are not, they are also amazing, and remember, this is just my personal preference.

Every classical musician: *"tHe PiEcE iS nOt YeT fIniShEd!"*
Haha yes.

@Enescu there is a Video Of Yundi Li plays Chopin 4th Ballade and at the fermata on the dominant just before the coda a lot of people started to clapping. And he was like not yet🤦🏻
The rule to avoid such humiliating situations: only clap when the pianist rests his both hands on his knees.
Chopin always hid the simple ones that were truly his most beautiful pieces.
This is not simple but ok. I know you don't mean difficulty.
@Elliot Facey simple as in simply composed compared to some of his Études or concertos I enjoy to practice as well.
