Cesar and his friends were all rescued from a cruel puppy mill operator.
Puppy mills or dog farms where dogs are bred and sold for profit are terrible places that need to be banned by law.

What's wrong is people keep buying from breeders without checking out the condition of the parents. This is also true of pet store animals. If you must buy a puppy, please do your homework.
My wife saved one similar off the street. She was a mess and stinky. Now, Tilly is a beautiful happy, crazy little poodle.

@@GJisAwkward I know some people in different parts of the world eat dog, cat, and horse meat. And they've done it for centuries. But keeping animals locked in small cages and making them live in their own excrement is sick! Most people who use them as meat sources don't do that because it would ruin the meat. If you're going to kill an animal for meat, it has to be healthy and muscular, that's what meat is. Muscle. And the animal is killed quickly and as painlessly. Puppy mills are nothing but torture chambers for money! And that's what should be done to people who are involved with them! Find a way to turn it into a money making deal where the puppy mill people are treated like the dogs, and anyone who has a heart will be happy and the government can make enough money to pay for keeping the criminals locked up in their little wire cages until they die!!!
I saw a Yorkie once who was so covered with ticks I didn't know what it was. I grabbed it, brought it home, and stuck it in the bathtub and washed it down with a bar of flea soap. All the ticks were dying and dropping off as I left the lather on. It's hair was so long I couldn't even figure out what sex it was. When I finally got it free of ticks I took a scissor and cut as much as the hair off as I could. That's when I realized it was a girl and she had a red patent leather and rhinestone collar on that had been covered by the hair and ticks. Realizing this was someone's dog who had gotten lost I put ads in for a missing dog (I didn't say the breed because I wanted someone to tell me that info) and contacted every animal shelter, but no one knew of a lost Yorkie or responded. I brought her to a vet and they scanned her and said she didn't have a micro-chip. But they did tell me that she had recently given birth. I did everything in my power to find her owner to no avail. In the end I wound up keeping her because I couldn't find her previous owners. She lived for 13 years and had a great life. I made sure of it.

The problem with puppymill dogs is that they are well hidden. They don't allow people to see their living situation ot what the animals look like. Didnt he say the dog was in the puppymill 10 years? It took that long for someone to call for help for those Yorkies.

Very true! Best is to NEVER buy a dog! Go get a Rescue from the Shelters! Rescues are the BEST! They are so appreciative to have a family! I just adopted an 18 year old Shih Tzu. She is sooooo SWEET! Like she been my dog for the last 18 years.

Last year around this time my fiancé and I were driving down a Two lane road in a rural area in East Tennessee.
Traffic had stopped my fiancé says someone just pushed that dog out from their car door!
I really had a hard time believing that was what happened as it was raining quit heavily.
But there was a fur ball in the middle of the street it was a pup.
10 seconds passed and no one picked it up so I jump out and go pick the pup up.
She was a girl! Yorkie mix, extremely skinny and matted.
Took her home, gave her a bathe and trimmed of all the hair on her back side. IT WAS COVER IN ONE BIG HARD LAYER OF POOP!.
I couldn’t believe the condition she was in. She was just a baby!
Anyway we took her to the shelter they checked her for a chip, none.
A week later we go back to adopt her after she has had surgery and all her shots. She wasn’t even a year old!!
Today she is in Georgia with my parents and little sister.
They bought her a doggy stroller🙊❤️💕💕💕💕💕
Some humans don’t deserve to be called human.. how could anyone neglect such sweet living breathing creatures. I pray for all those out their hurting, I wish I could adopt them all!:(

It never was anything to be proud of. However, being humane is something to aspire to. I feel so torn because while I feel a deep sadness and pity for animals, I have an equally deep hatred and anger for the pieces of human garbage who mistreat innocent animals.
They were probably broken by someone too. Or maybe just by entropy. Sometimes life is terrible.
If being 'broken' led to them being so debased as to abuse animals, they should be executed and exterminated. 'Broken' animals do not go on to abuse other animals or even people. In this and many other respects animals are indeed more 'humane' than humans. When we begin to sympathize with animal abusers instead of condemning them, we begin the slide down in condoning sadism and debauchery. I think human garbage should be treated as such. We put child- abusers in prison.We should do the same for animal abusers, because the worst sadistic criminals start out as animal abusers.
Don’t be so quick to say that. After all, it’s humans who saved him. It’s something to be proud of if you’re someone who understands the difference between what’s moral and immoral.

I have a Yorkie, and I can't imagine letting him get like that. I'll bet that that was the first bath he ever had in his life. This makes me so angry. I agree that puppy mills should be illegal. Most states just don't have the budgets or manpower to monitor every dog breeding operation, which are usually out in the middle of nowhere, and it's a real problem. Pet stores usually deal with a middleman, so that they can pretend that they deal with respectable breeders and don't get their puppies from a puppy mill. Bull. People should NEVER buy dogs from pet stores and should boycott these stores until they stop selling pets or go out of business.
Amy - I completely agree with you! I think things might improve if we each become very vocal to the authorities, so they can't hide what they're a party to. My puppies were sold from me to them in person, in my home. If I had any misgivings about the people, there was not enough money in the world to make me let them have one of my hand raised little darlings. I did turn some down, and there were a few I didn't charge at all, because they so obviously would give the little one a really good home.
Here in Hawaii, dog fighting is far more prevalent than puppy mills or pet stores. For here, a Pet Store, means a place you can purchase things for your pets.. they do not sell pets. The dog fighting is something we all watch for and report, even if we only suspect it is going on - that way authorities with the power to stop it, go out and investigate, and watch what the owner is doing.
The pet stores here don't sell dogs, either. They sometimes have dogs from shelters who need to be adopted. Dog fighting is pure evil. Those monsters will steal people's pets out of their yards to use them as bait for their fighters. They should go to jail for a long, long time, where they'll be bait.
My first dog was an Airedale Terrier. His breeder only bred her bitch twice and bred her with a Champion from clear across the country. She bred for temperament as much as for other things, and my guy was the sweetest dog ever. He lived to be 14 1/2, and I still miss him.
I won't buy a purebred anymore, though. Most breeders are very responsible and love their dogs, but there are so many in shelters and rescue organizations who need to be adopted. My two are both adopted, one from a shelter (the Yorkie) and the other from a Silky Terrier rescue group.
Amy I groomed two weeks in a pet store Lakeland fla “PET LAND “mall fixed up all their puppies. And they didn’t even pay me. Finally they got caught for faking puppy health papers as her spouse was a vet tech or vet. Fraud. I knew they were dishonest on other levels - strange how all the employees were always. New. The store next door filled my ears about complaints. Closed now for six years. Good
Amen!! I use to buy my cats from a pet store but they were always sick and full of fleas I had to nurse them back to health. I now boycott those places and tell others to do the same. I buy from no kill shelters that the animals are taken care of.

Farsad Islam You are so right. He hasn’t had a human’s loving touch for 10 years. It takes a long time for them to know what that is. I have a 4pound poodle that was caged 7 years. I’ve had him 3 years and he still reacts in fear to anything that reminds him of those days. I try to protect him but we as loving caretakers do things in day to day life that unknowingly trigger a negative memory. Just the slightest movement my baby still get so frightened at times. I hold him close and let him know he’s safe. It’s like having a new born. One day and one step at the time and a ton of patience and LOVE.

elianna m. - Honey, if you are invited to see the circumstances the parents live in, you can tell if they're treated as family, OR belongings that make money. My Mini Aussie is from a breeder, who only breeds her dogs when there are more than enough people asking for one. She sent us multiple pictures every day, so we could tell how Amber was treated before we got her. This lady actually puts the puppies into a bed with their mom, with the bed right next to her side of the 'bigger' bed when she sleeps at night. Our slightly larger Aussie was the 'runt' of the litter, bred by a lady who just wanted to share (1 time) some Aussies with others. There are very few of any particular breed, in Hawaii. That little one was often carried around everywhere by the lady's little girl. ;)
LIZ - I'm sorry, but I must disagree with that comment, since I was (many years ago) a breeder of Cocker Spaniels on the mainland. I only allowed breeding when I knew there would be plenty of people who would want the puppies. My dogs were kept well groomed, fed well, and shown lots of attention all the time. Number ONE, they were my pets, that I treasured. I did not breed them to make money, and in fact, any good breeder loses quite a bit of money doing this. I was also part of a few breeders of Cockers who felt it was ridiculous to breed a dog meant for hunting, with a coat down to the floor all around. We bred to help others have a *good* dog, with excellent genes all the way back. We knew our puppies would be easy to train, well cared for, and loved. I'm truly sorry you haven't met any good breeders yet. My husband and I have the 2 Aussies, and 2 'poi' dogs from the nearby shelter. We love each of them. We also have 2 cats we got from the shelter, and 4 Burmese, because we love the breed, and there are no other breeders of them in Hawaii. Please dear, at least consider what I've said? I, like you, would want a world where there are no shelters or rescues needed. In my mind, as some others have voiced also, each live being needs love, attention, proper food and exersize, but mostly LOVE. We each gain so much if we give that.
ladykiri42. We have finally found a bone of contention between us. I agree with Liz one one point. I HATE that there are breeders! As I'm sure you know, there are MILLIONS (last time I heard 3 or 4 MILLION) dogs euthanized on the mainland US alone. Without breeders, those dogs could have been adopted. I HATE the fact that PERFECTLY LOVELY dogs languish in shelters because their former "owners" were shit, while other people go out and buy designer breeds or purebreds for hundreds of dollars and could care less whether they're from a puppy mill as long as they get a "cute puppy" out of the deal. People need to step down off their high horses and go HELP a dog in NEED in a shelter! Mixed breeds are MUCH healthier than dogs bred from the same gene lines, like they do in puppy mills. Just picture yourself as "that dog" in the shelter, locked behind bars and imagine how you'd feel...
ive gotten dogs from breeders and adopting too. you have to do research and check on them before doing any money exchange. they have some that are licensed through proper channels and they dont force the dogs to breed constantly. many you can actually visit and see whats up too. depending on the store, you will get people that are proper and not horrible make money quick mills. i know in reptiles, breeders will sell to stores too but most stores ive seen do do thier research on who they buy from. you do have to watch buying on creigs list or small pet stores etc, they more then likely will buy on the cheap from mills and dont care. ive actually seen some bad adoption places too that didnt properly care for the animals and then just took money and so on. you have to check those as well. my last dog i adopted from a place i dont norm adpot from, ended up getting sick and all and was way underwieght for how long he was in thier care and a foster homes care....took us a while to get it fixed.

that is really something being adored with that kind of misery for 10 freaking years they have got to really seriously do some damage here of making puppy mills go out of business it's just a breathing machine that they don't care they just want to do to make money it just so sick how people order self don't want to make money I can't believe how people are so obsessed over it because I know that's what we have to have the live but when you've lowered yourself so bad you have to find other means of using the innocent life to make it so we have to do more that loves the animals to protect them and make laws that will stick dearly so they can make people like that go to prison for a very very long time and we can rescue as many as pause as we can as this guy did we got to help him and we can build the healthy ones that can't and we can achieve this we got to work together

This is one of the saddest situations for an animal and it's appalling to think about the countless animals suffering. I commend the people who rescue these animals! He was such a good boy while being groomed, and the rest of his life will be filled with love.

He's a beautiful boy who knew that, for the first time in his life, he was cared for. And even though he'd been cruelly treated in the past, he still recognised loving care. I'm crying as I type. I'd love to meet and cuddle this brave little man.xx

B aljeet Kaur - So true, people should insist on seeing at least the mothers of their puppies/kittens. Preferably, see both parents, since it will give you an idea of how they've been treated, and if they have any problems that can be passed down to their offspring, sometimes you can pick up on it before paying. My sister has a dear little half yorkie, half another small breed, that she paid as much for, as I did for my purebred Mini Australian Shepherd. That little guy is truly pampered. ;) He'll be 14 this year, and is beginning to show his age. Our dear Aussie, Amber, will be 4 years old this year. She and our 'runt from litter', larger Aussie are very precious to us, and such good friends to each other. Please, if you get a puppy, consider getting 2 if you don't have another dog for them to cuddle with. It'll help them recover from being taken from their mother, and you'll have far fewer problems as they grow up. The lady who bred her mini Aussies asked me, when I chose my little girl, what I'd like to name her, and by the time we picked her up, she already knew Amber is her name! That was such a wonderful idea, to start them very young, knowing what name will be theirs.
People who are retired, or one (at least) is home a lot, can probably get by with 1 puppy, IF they give it a lot of extra love, cuddling, and training. Every dog is happier if they are trained to "do this", "don't do that". They become much more self assured, since then they know how to behave to please you. ;) May God bless everyone who gets a dog or cat from a rescue!
