I have a rescued greyhound and he is the most sweetest gentle dog you would ever meet, greyhounds are one of the most gentlest dogs on the planet and deserve better lives than they get.

That's just how greyhounds look. I'm sure for a while she was in a lot of pain but honestly the greyhound breed always have sad faces. Even when they are happy. I have a greyhound.

No, no. The pain is past. Her pelvis is fixed, she's much happier. Did you see her when she got into the car?? She was smiling, happy with her new owners, getting kisses and reassurance, enjoying her new life. She will do fine. Greyhounds have beautiful eyes.
I cannot imagine how someone can abandon that face. Such a gentle soul... Those eyes, proportionately folded ears, calm stature, that broken hips pain tolerance, still being so afraid yet letting people comfort her after all the past mistreatment...I can't even... Such a fighter... Bless the people who helped her, you've gathered more karma than you can imagine. Thanks to the family that opened their hearts to her. She deserves it.

She is a bit afraid, turns her head the other way, tail between the legs… it will take some time for her to trust humans again, but this couple seems to be the perfect family for Ruby. They are so gentle with her and they really love her. I hope we can have an update in the future and see Ruby run and play. She is such an adorable and sweet dog. I got a street dog and when in mad for some reason arguing with other people she gets scared even though I have never beat her or even yell.

I couldn't agree more. Physical pain is bad enough, but you could see emotional pain, and mistrust, in Ruby's eyes at the start. She was apprehensive when she first met her new "family" but it's obvious they will give her the life and love she deserves. I wouldn't want to stop kissing and cuddling her! In INDIA we don't have enough advance hospitals for dogs. I had seen so many dogs are hurted, some accidents also happen. Once I tried to save, so sad but no proper medical allowances like in other countries. At that moment I thought I could have become a veterian ...oh God.

I have 2 greyhounds Kevin and Eamonn Kevin was left on his own until people found him Eamonn was an x racer and it’s a horrible life they were never loved or anything and he was very quite when we first got him but now he found his place he is the happiest dog ever and I am just saying people think greyhounds are bad and vicious dogs and they need a lot of exercise but they just need a long run or 2 walks a day but there the most lovingly dogs ever🤩

I really hate when people abandon their pets!!!! Why get them if u can't care for them. I hug and kiss my dog every day. Telling him he's so loved, and I love him. I've always had pets since a kid now at 40 I still have a dog. I looking forward to coming home every morning from work and he's at the door so excited. Best feeling in the world
Ruby wasn't a pet, unfortunately. She was a hunting dog who was dumped or worse when her usefulness was over. Sometimes the hunters try to kill the dogs unsuccessfully, other times they are just dumped and get hit by cars, which may be how her hip was broken.
I Am Me You Are You I am the same way my chihuahua is soo spoiled and loved and I am only 11 and I have never had a dog from a shelter and in July of 2018 our puppy who was only 6 months old got ran over and passed and I think we should get another one but from the shelter

People have to give up pets for different reasons it's not always because they are unloved, in fact it can be the complete opposite, having to work longer hours or sickness, etc and they want the best for their dog It's not always a easy decision. I never had seen many greyhounds - they are Incredibly beautiful and graceful. Such intelligent trusting eyes. I am in love with this breed and mortified and ashamed that ANY human could mistreat them this way

The fact your attitude and ignorance to other livings things is what it is upsets me. I can only imagine you're young and I hope you grow to realise that life is so much more than thinking you're better or more important than anything. Because you're not, none of us are.

I adopted two greyhounds several years ago. I have never known of a pet that was better behaved, more beautiful, and loving. Thank you for this video it brings back wonderful memories.
I've got a greyhound mix now and he has a lot of the greyhound traits...just as you noted. Those deep dark eyes are so warm and he is so gentle. Mega cuddler. Not a fan of loud noises, but that's not so extraordinary in many dogs. The only other dogs (that I have owned) that are close to them in temperament are Bernese Mountain Dogs. They too are awesome.

It seems that those who use the galgos for hunting, or whatever, if the animal doesn't measure up for them, they so often injure the poor dears. So cruel, as you said. This couple seems to be *right* for Ruby.

Disposable necessity, It costs money to hunt and the last thing they want is paying vet bills, I think the hunter retired her and let her loose and a vehicle hit Ruby.
These are extremely valuable dogs and worth selling after they age. She likely got spooked in a hunt and ran away and then got injured.
I highly doubt some hunter broke her hip and left her to die.
