Marco Thank you. It is a lot of work sometimes but hearing a Thank you from good people like yourself makes it worth any and all the effort! Keep your eyes peeled for more EV charger videos! Please Like, share & subscribe if you have not already! Thanks again. Love to hear any and all comments. 👍
I see that, but it’s not necessary. The max the EV charger can pull is 50 A Even at 125% it’s only 62.5 A. Installed wire number six is rated for 65 A. . Why would I wanna go install a 70 amp breaker with a number four wire when it’s not necessary ? You certainly can if you want to . Thanks for watching and commenting .
Too much detail for some. Most people want to watch no more than a five minute video. But if somebody never worked with PVC before, hopefully it helps. This video took forever to come out with. I think it was at least six weeks. Thanks again for watching and commenting. It’s really appreciated. !! 🙏
Excellent video, I love the details. I saw that you were having issues with the scheduler. Was that fix, and what was the issue? What was the size of the junction box ?
So the issue with the scheduler with this particular EV charger is you have to make sure your EV’s ready to charge instantly not set to a schedule. Then you can use the EV charger to schedule its charge anytime or instantly as long as the car is ready and expecting a charge . As far as the junction box, mine was a 5 x 5 x 3 a bigger one would work 6 x 6 x 4 or something similar . Thanks for watching and commenting !!
I’m sorry. I was asking for my situation. I’m installing 50A hardljne wolfbox Running g 125ft of copper from breaker. Need to figure out what type copper I’ll need for 70 A double pole.
@@dereklemox3342 No need to over kill and waste too much money. You only need to breaker it at 60 amps max. Using #6 THHN wire (one red, one black and one green and installed into a conduit) instead of #4 wire for a 70 amp. The difference here alone in the wire size over 125' you will be thanking me for. The max charging speed for this charger is only 50 amps anyways. That translates into about 12,000 watts per hour. 50 amps x 240 volts = 12,000 watts. 125' is a long pull. Make sure you have some help. Hope this helps. Let me know how your install goes. 👍
My EV9 can schedule its own charging time. The idiot utility companies are pushing the charger companies to make scheduling in their software when cars should be whats controlling the charging and keep the wall charger dumbed down to on/off/standby, and charge rate.
@@30smsuperstrat I guess it’s still OK. As long as your car is ready to charge you can use the EV chargers app to schedule the charging. one way or another it will charge when you want it to. You might be surprised sometimes sometimes the EV charging apps have more features like counting down how many hours before it charges etc.
Thank you so much for making this video. It is very informative.

What size cord strain relief connector did you get?
Great question @walkngdude. I'm surprised I don't have a material links. Here is the strain relief I used: amzn.to/3VhbuSl
Very helpful
Thank you, cobraKai 🙏👍
They say 70amp min breaker for the 50amp Hardwire.
I see that, but it’s not necessary.

Thanks for the kind words. Long install video but should be helpful for those that may need it. 👍
Having issue. Why 70A double pole is needed for 125ft run of #6 wire??
Hey Derek. That question is from something mentioned in the video? If so can you specify at what timestamp?

Does it have on and off switch when you're not using it and also can you Wi-Fi it to your phone only
Jamie. No on / off switch. As far as I know phone only.
