There is so many covers of Nine Inch Nails songs out there. They are all just pale copy of the original. You're interpretation of the song is a true hommage to the emotions expressed in the original. But with your sensibility and beauty. You could reinterprete most of his discography this way. Personnally. If I could get my hand on this in spotify or apple music, I would add this to my NIN playlist. And they would fit right in. Please by all mean. Continue. You're awesome.
Ah, you're making me tear up Daniel. It's not always easy to reinterpret these for piano and it doesn't always work out but when it does I feel especially grateful for Trent as a composer. That a song like this could be almost anything and still be amazing. I will definitely consider releasing these as published tracks. Thank you for the support!

I love the way you "feel" music. Even if its a rational observational perspective, your feeling of it gets me. I love this so much, and can't believe I missed this from you when you posted it. Thank you, from the future
This strikes me in the heart with the same intensity of La Mer, I'm all over the place and over the moon you posted this as a stand alone. Thank you so very much for being you, the culmination of your experiences and love to create this moment to share with all of us.
I really appreciate your analyses of NIN songs but right now I'm just enjoying hearing you play piano. This rendition of the song really matches my current mood and I've been listening to it in a loop for a while.
@@iximusic I'm really serious. You do such an amazing job analyzing his work. He totally gave a shout out to the person that edited that tour video for Cold and Black and Infinite. I can easily see him really appreciating what you do here. It's really great for me being a long time NIN fan that I get to learn some music theory from music that I've heard so many times before. Also, I just want to say a big thanks for giving me a way to appreciate music that I already love. It's such a special gift you have to teach this material and allow people like me - with no training in music - a way to appreciate art in a deeper and beautiful way. You deserve the kudos and totally a drop-by by the Trent.
i don't tend to bookmark a lot of music i listen to because??? why should i when i can just toss it on a playlist and hit shuffle right??? but dude. holy cow. i'm throwing a like AND a star at this. ruiner holds a close meaning to me and this reimagining just. blew me out of the water. my day and my week has been MADE thank you so much for dropping this. sincerely.
I love this interpretation of Ruiner! You’re a hell of a musician and a communicator about music. Your channel has become my favorite stop on my journey through the piano side of youtube. I just started learning piano a few months ago, and all the lessons are focusing on music I’m not interested in. As a long time fan of NIN, Your analysis and interpretations of their music is really exciting to me, and I keep coming back to them as I learn more about music theory. I’m years away from being able to play half as well as you, but your videos give me something to look forward to. Awesome work!
Elle, thank you. This means a lot, that you're so inspired and learning through music you relate to. Keep going on the piano - it's such an expressive and versatile instrument and I look forward to hearing you play someday! I'm going to save your comment if I ever need a reminder about why I'm doing this ♥️ 🙏
This is good, your playing is noticeably more confident already. More power and assertiveness. Also half reminds me of the Taxi Driver movie score, keep going.
been watching you vids for a while now and loving them, but never comment because everything i wanna say has already been said. but this right here is the pinnacle of awesome so far for me. please don't ever stop ixi, you are incredible!
I discovered NIN about a year ago and it's been a musical experience like no other. Your channel is dedicated to exactly the kinds of things I get out of NIN. I did not think that I would hear another person who actually sees what I see. I could not think more highly of this channel, and respect you for being a true musician in relaying Reznor's work. Your work is MUCH appreciated.
Watching your videos over the last month or two has made me rediscover and fall in love with one of my all time favourite artists all over again. Not only that, your words on releasing your own music has absolutely inspired me to finish off some music that has been lingering on my own computer for years.. Love this channel! Also, I'd totally be into an album of NIN piano renditions... Just saying 👀

I like your arrangement. There are a couple of places where it gets a little too busy for me in such a stripped down arrangement. Less is more. It draws me back to the early seasons of "West World" where they made some great use of stripped down covers. Keep going with your excellent lectures on Reznor's music.
This is one of my favorite NIN songs, and this sounds fantastic. I was definitely not expecting to enjoy this as much as I did. Even the guitar solo part sounded amazing. I will be watching this multiple times.
This is what I would think one of the most difficult songs to 'cover' on piano, and it sounds fantastic. I cannot wait for an interpretation of The Becoming :-)

yes!!! i was waiting for another one of these. Playing these songs on the piano just makes the intricacies of Trent’s songwriting so much more obvious. Amazing work, as always. Can’t wait for the next one.
I've listened to your cover probably 10 times in the last 24 hours. It is an extraordinary interpretation. There's something about it being stripped down that hits even harder than the original.
That makes me so happy. I always enjoy finding my way around these songs after I analyze them, to TRY to recapture how they make me feel and to put some of the things I learned into practice. And it surprises me whenever they work out ok on a piano. But that's a testament to Trent's compositional genius more than anything. I wasn't very confident about sharing them but the response has been really meaningful.
@@iximusic Trent's genius is undeniable. But that also raises the expectations exponentially. You've smashed them. Your humbleness is refreshing and admirable, but please give yourself more credit.
Thank you! I started doing them at the end of videos as a way of emotionally processing everything I learned and it's really lovely to see so many people enjoying them.
