My daughter is 21 now but I remember during the pandemic, her home economics class was online and one assignment was to deep clean her room! She did. I could smell the cleanliness from the front door! She definitely learned her lesson and has kept her room spotless! Thank you for triggering the memory. I live in AZ and really enjoy your channel! My kids are grown 23 and 21 but I get cleaning motivation from you
and several other channels. People think no children means a clean house. No! My husband and I both work and sometimes cleaning gets put on the back burner. Keep it up!!!!!
You definitively can wash your curtains on a gentle cycle and let them dry directly on your curtain rod.
Yep, have done it- key is to dry on the rod and the wrinkles fall out! (Provided you get them out of the washer promptly and shake the snot out of them!)
You can also soak your daughter’s curtains in the bathtub in some warm water and a little bit of laundry detergent and push it around for a bit. Rinse and repeat a couple of times and the curtains will come out super clean. Great video and super motivating.
Ha! I always say, you know you are a mom when you repeat things like “ why is this wet”?, why is this sticky?, i just cleaned this, and you are hungry again??? 😂

Omg my 12 year old, Adilynn loves to keep every single paper also. She is always making arts and crafts in her room. They would be best friends. Haha! 😅
I've been using a DIY Powerwash for a while now and I love it because you can use any brand dish soap in any scent that you like. {This is the "recipe" that I use: 4Tablespoon s dish soap, 2Tablespoons Rubbing Alcohol, 14oz water}

I have mixed dawn and water in that sprayer. I haven't added alcohol before. I'll have to do that next time. Either way, I find I use less dish soap using the spray bottle. We just cleaned the living room ceiling fan. The Glass pieces were so dirty. I forgot they were clear. It's amazing how dusty things get.
Kids do a good job, cleaning their room to their standard
If you have a hardwash cycle on your machine use it but don't put anything else in with curtains Also use like a very mild detergent like wool light. And of course don't dry
Just a quick hack if you will take and get an old pillowcase and put over the blades and pull the dust off, it won't fall. It will fall into the pillowcase. And then you can go back and wash your blades.

Maybe hand wash the curtains and let them air dry….. I do that with stuff that I have….
not only do the curtains get clean and smell better when you wash them, the dust builds up eats the fabric and deteriorates fabric.
Hi Ashley, just a tip for cleaning the toilet use Clorox wipes it’s better then all the paper towel and it’s more germ killing 👍🏼😉❤️🇨🇦
curtain-I would put the lace in a garment bag so they don't get out of shape. Use reg. dawn dish soap for the detergent and then hang them back up wet.
Oh, yes, I've been doing this hack for a while now. It saves a lot of money.

Curtains should be fine to wash ,just wash on a delicate cycle and hang dry 🫧 I always hang dry all my curtains and yes it makes your house smell so good 💕

To fill up my empty dawnpower wash I use 4 tbl liquid soap, 3 tbs alcohol, the rest water. It's been working pretty well for me

Hi Ashley😊. I’m watching your video while washing my kids bedding. I have a 16 year old daughter and 12 year son and they are both pretty messy! Their rooms aren’t horrible but once in a while I also go in there and do a momma clean 🧽. Great motivation video!😊😊
For you kids bathroom rug. I remember my mom aways telling us that when we were done with a shower. Put the rug on the side of the bathtub. So it will have time to dry.

Put your washer on the delicate cycle and it should be fine and yeah I would let them air dry

Nice video, reminds me of when my children were little, I always cleaned their rooms, I taught them how but there’s nothing like a “ mom” clean😄 I bet you could wash those curtains on a gentle cycle by themselves and hang to dry.

It’s 2 ounces soap 1 ounce alcohol and fill with water for the dawn power spray solution

I need to donate a lot of toys my kids don't play with especially my 10 year olds... but I struggle idk why I just get this overwhelming feeling that I'm just throwing money down the drain. . 🥴 but the clutter can get overwhelming especially when we have company over and their friends feel the need to pull out absolutely everything.

When my son was about 6, he had a lot of wrappers and broken cars that I tried to toss out and he'd start crying saying "Keep!" so we kept the stuff until he went to school. Then I'd toss it. He never knew the pieces were gone. I'd usually get new toys for him to replace the ones I tossed.
❤ hey Ashley! You can totally wash that curtain! Wash on delicate cycle with cold water and hang up to air dry. I have that material for my living room. Plus it makes the whole room smell nice as it dries.
You need to get her a three-drawer organizer ( Big plastic 3 drawer bin). That way all her six drawers can be for pajamas and her clothes.

Ashley next time you clean the ceiling fans use an old pillow case to catch the dust it'll be much easier
I have a dollar tree spray bottle with the Dawn & alcohol combo, and I use it on pretty much every surface. I love that it’s not super toxic/smelly & gets the job done. Great motivation today, friend! Perfect for a Sunday clean/prep day.

I found a tip from someone else, I don’t remember where I saw it. You can use a pillowcase to clean the fan blades to contain the dust so it doesn’t fall in the floor or in your eyes.

Hi Ashley, I agree with washing curtains and mine throughout the house need a good washing. I'm getting over covid, but I'm still extremely tired and have no energy, but hopefully, that goes away soon. I have limited mobility, so I'm not as productive as I used to be, so it takes me forever to get stuff done, and now this I'm just frustrated and way behind. 😢.
