    I don't like how the sugar is still dropping even tho your cramming food in your face it's scary for me I can imagine how you feel with little bit. I just want to say your amazing Mama ❣️ And don't worry about the clothes being folded, it's a full time job taking care of Addie's T1D. And if not one other person gets that, just know I see you and completely understand. It's hard being an adult and dealing with diabetes, but dealing with a toddler who doesn't have a full range of words to tell you if she feels funny because her sugars are high or low that's a whole nother level! Much Love from The Alexander's ❤️💞

    Please don’t let what you watchers say upset you. I am a T1D for many years and some days you do everything perfect and your bs goes out of whack. Those who don’t walk our walk have no right to talk. Diabetes is a tricky disease. You do an amazing job and kids with T1 have to eat! Even if it’s nuggets. Better something than nothing. Love y’all.

    Thank you so much for this video. My 3 year old was diagnosed last Monday and it’s been a lot mentally. Currently trying to understand the highs and remaining patient for when they can determine his actual dose. It’s been tough mentally some days. He gets his pod in 2 weeks so this was a bit of good news for me. I just want my kid back.

    • @carolmulberry6440
      @carolmulberry6440 ปีที่แล้ว

      I got my pod not too long ago. What my doctor didn’t tell me is that there is a training that needs to be done before the first pod goes on and that the insulin dosages will be shared with you by your trainer at that time. The training is super simple and they walk you through programming your PDM, setting up your glook and podder central accounts, and setting up/applying the first pod.

    I know it’s difficult to manage and I can see that you are working hard to care for her, but as a diabetes educator, you should seek nutritional counseling from your endocrinologist. The food you are feeding her is not nutritious or nutrient dense which is causing her blood sugar to be all over the place. Feeding her higher fiber and more complex carbs will help this.

I mean it’s just makes such a difference to anyone in challenging situations. Remember your challenges are normal. You are fantastic mom. No parents is not overwhelmed by this. Accept it step by step, and wipe away each last step as you move forward. No self judgement. Just dedication. I also was concerned with the selected groceries bought, didn’t see one healthy item or meal in the cart. I’m sure it’s super tough but I feel like mama is way too lenient with her on letting her do whatever she wants, yes it sucks to do the site changes all the time, but I feel like you could def have more control over the constant highs and lows. My dad made us sit down and eat what was given to us, no dessert before dinner, if you know that by her taking one bite of pizza and a bunch of frosting means you’ll have to give her more food later like the cookies you give her … why not just be more disciplined with her and don’t let her eat a bunch of sugar and candy snacks and make her eat her meat and veggies…. Also and I’m sorry to keep going on but I promise I’m only saying these things to try
    and help, but letting her run off all the time especially taking off down the street is cause for disaster. Being more stern with her will help you be more in control of her behavior.

    Talk about folding clothes, seeing you have to take care of this precious baby girl. I usually leave clothes in the basket when they come out of the dryer. Y husband irons his clothes that I would hang up and weren’t wrinkled so I figured why waste the time folding and hanging stuff up they were going to get ironed anyways. I agree with you that folding clothes is a waste of time I'd rather be doing anything else but at the same time if you just take the clothes and shove them in a drawer they get all wrinkly and everything and then you have to spend time ironing them unless you're going to walk around and wrinkle clothes when you go out the door and anyway on another subject your daughter I think has the best mom to care for her and she's so cute and I myself and not diabetic but my doctor has told me that if I don't change my diet and the way I eat I will end up with diabetes My husband has it and he don't listen to the doctor and stick to his diet and about once a year ago he wouldn't blind in his eyes for 6 months and couldn't work not 100% blind but blind to the point where all they can see was blur

    It’s really interesting how others do it. I am just a little bit shocked, that she eat so much wheat and sugar(especially juice with over 180, that confused me a little), would explain why her blood sugar is that unstable, but I know, it’s hard with children, cause most children don’t eat everything and of course I don’t want to judge, everyone should do it, like it’s best for them … I just didn’t expect it 😅
    And dad really should look more after her blood sugar, that’s dangerous 🫣
    And about the laundry: who cares, do it the way you feel comfortable with … it doesn’t hurt anyone, if the laundry isn’t folded 😂

    Dear Mommy I know this vid is a year old but maybe you can still use my advise! Walking or doing something while having a higher blood sugar is not the best option to get it down sometimes because when we don’t have enough insulin in our body it will work the opposite way, and get the BS to go higher instead of going lower.. and it also burns our system.. sometimes it’s just best to chill out on the couch.. I wish my parents and school had this info when I got diabetes back in 95 as a 7 year old.. love how well you take care of your chiquita❤ God bless you🤲🏼❤️❤️

      @elliesouza717 lol ok? She's not helping her condition. And I'm not wrong for stating the obvious. If sugar is making you sick, you think the answer is consuming the WORST from of sugar possible???(processed) And everyone supporting this is just as bad. She should be removing all this junk food and giving her natural occuring sugars like fructose for ex. if she needs the sugar. Only in America people respond to bad health with food that causes more bad health. Shame

      Yes, I agree. However, I also have diabetic two year old. Toddlers are very picky and it can be difficult to get them to eat healthy. At some point they have to eat because they need carbs and low blood sugars are dangerous. So, with that being said, sometimes whatever a diabetic toddler will eat is good enough for the time being. I offer mine fruits and vegetables constantly. If he eats it great, if not we move on.

      @@HhMeno1 you are so right my 4 year old Daughter was just admitted for type 1 diabetes and she’s a VERY PICKY EATER.. And the doctors said not to worry as long as she gets the correct carbs she will be fine , so far day 3 and all she will eat is grilled cheese on wheat in the hospital and grapes and they say it’s okay. We will focus more on different things when we get home. But for now they say we are fine.❤

      @@sunflowerbeauty5469 yes she will be ok. It's terrifying right now I know for you. We are 5 months in and it's still hard but we are getting better. Watch out for lows, keep juice and crackers on hand. My son eats grilled cheese, pizza and Mac and cheese and sometimes chicken nuggets. He eats nature valley granola bars and fiber brownies. That's about it. You will learn what foods spike her sugar and what don't. Try and get a Dexcom. You will do fine Momma. Have any questions just let me know.
