This video really helped with a tear I got on my synmat9 m but I can’t find and information on storing downmat 9. Is there a storage link? I have 6 exped mats in my kit. Only the one down tho. Kind regards Stephan
We recommend storing our mats with both valves open in a dry and cool place (such as under the bed). Personally, I keep my mat loosely folded on a shelf in my closet. The main reason we recommend storing mats unrolled with the valves left open is to let air passively circulate in and out of the mat (which prevents problems caused by moisture being trapped in the interior). So long as your mats are put away dry (inside and out), it doesn’t really matter if they’re stored rolled or unrolled. When taking your Downmat out of storage or its stuff sack for use, the mat should be gently shaken and patted out so that the down can redistribute itself evenly again after it has been rolled up.
Hello, We're sorry to hear you have a blown baffle. Unfortunately, this is not repairable, however we may still be able to assist you. Please reach our to your regions local Exped distributor and we can assist you further. (For example, the USA distributor can be reached at Questions@expedusa.com). www.exped.com/en/contact"
This video shows the process we do here in our USA repair shop, but the same repair can be accomplished with the "Textile Glue" included in the mat's repair kit. If you need extra repair kits, please reach out to your region's local Exped distributor and we'd be happy to send you some. If you happen to be in the US, please contact Exped USA at Questions@expedusa.com
