this song introduced me to Måneskin about two years ago, it's still my favourite song
and i hardly can express how happy and gratefull i am for finding out about this amazing band and their mesmerizing music.
Their italian songs in particular are lyrical masterpieces imo!
'Coraline' is probably the most shattering Måneskin song but at the same time one of the best songs i've ever listend to.
I don't speak italian but i took the time to read translations of the lyrics or even tried to translate them myself.
It's not easy to do the beautifull italian language justice
but it allowed me a better understanding of the songs meaning.
The only other song that comes to my mind which makes me cry every single time, besides Coraline,
would be 'To Build A Home' by Cinematic Orchestra.
Please don't get me wrong, i'm not just atraccted by the sad songs 😊
Zittie E Buoni, IWBYS, In Nome Del Padre, Honey (Are You Coming?)... each of their songs hit a different emotional spot.
Their lyrics, their music skills, their stage presence, their interaction with the audience
- all this together makes them stand out as artists imo. 💖
Just a fun fact... Writing in Italian is really difficult, that's a language quite complicate, with 3 times more conjunction than English and a really big vocabulary, also a language created on purpose for poetry around XIII century... So, when you write verses you're facing Dante, and that's freaking scary... There are few masters in Italian songwriting, and this Måneskin song is right there with the best, with Paoli, Mogol, Fossati... I can't say Guccini and DeAndrè, but it's really good

In Torna a Casa, Marlena is the personification of a muse, and when she disappears the dancer can no longer dance and then te inspiration comes back and she comes back to life. There are several songs from this old album that talk about this muse, Damiano talks about her as a person or a love so everyone can relate to the song .. in the italian songs, most of the times there are many possible meanings, many metaphors, which makes them richer.. happy you enjoyed it, i would love to have a damiano in my house to motivate me 😁🤣
