- Basic EPS (for the CFA Level 1 exam) explores the computation of Basic Earnings per Share (EPS). We cover the treatment of:
- net income attributable to ordinary shareholders, and
- the time-weighted number of ordinary shares, including adjustment necessary to deal with: share issues and repurchases, as well as retrospective restatements of the number of shares in case of stock dividends, stock splits or bonus issues.

Hi! As I already have a somewhat lengthy freely available Financial Reporting playlist on the channel (plus one one deferred tax), I was thinking of focusing more on topics which I neglected thus far, for example Fixed Income, Economics. But, I will try to add some videos on FSA every month starting from April.

I’m not sure if it merits its own video, but this key is useful if you have a complex denominator which you want to solve first. I use this a lot in my other videos as well👍

Hi! For the last part, wouldn't we subtract the number of shares repurchased, as they are bought back?
Hi, I'm not sure what you mean. I did deduct those repurhased shares when calculating the weighted no. of shares outstanding.
