- Hi everyone! Here is the tutorial I promised you using the Curated Bead Box for the month of September- Berries & Cherries If you don't subscribe to this box, you can still make this project. Please check the list of materials down below. In this tutorial I will show you, step-by-step, how to design and layout a plan for your necklace set. We will use a combination of red beads and silver metals. I haven’t been on air much, so many unhappy events and health issues happening. Joe starts his Chemo and Radiation tomorrow for bladder cancer. Unfortunately his operation to remove tumour wasn’t able to get all the cancer. I will text you to explain a little more.

An outstanding necklace! I much prefer the separate necklaces that can be worn solo or together. Versatility makes sense to me and most of my clients. I have been designing, creating and importing show clothes for entertainers since the late 1960s so minimalist jewelry seems quite alien to me. I make more conservative pieces but I also offer more elaborate layers for those so inclined. (No trade shows since the pandemic seems so strange.) I appreciate your lists of components. I look forward to working with my Magic Rods.

The 2 necklaces done separately are a wonderful idea! Anything you create is always beautiful. I like the fast forward after you did the explanation. I was wondering if the 22 gauge wire is strong enough to do this kind of loop. Is it the same as 22 artistic wire? I thought an eye pin or a head pin would be stronger.

Aww.. thank you Nad for your kind words. 😊 Yes, Artistic wire is the same. It’s basically craft wire no matter the gauge. I usually select the gauge according to the weight of the beads and pendant, and technique (wrapped or simple loop). Also the size of the beads is a factor. So for the larger necklace with the pendant, I used 18 gauge because I knew I wanted simple loops and the pendant and beads were a little on the heavier side. Had I done wrapped loops, I would’ve probably used 22 gauge. The smaller necklace had smaller lighter beads so I went with thinner gauge and wrapped loops. I hope this helps. 🙂🌼🌸🌺
