    Owned this car for over a year. Absolutely loved driving it, but it was always in the shop for repair, which was very expensive. The mechanic actually said he wanted to put a statue of me outside his shop. I had to part with it, because I just couldn't afford it. Too bad. Such a beautiful car. If you have money to burn, then go for it for awhile. Unfortunately, I don't.

    I owned one . For most people to know after 100k miles you will have to take the motor in to check the seals . After 100k seals go bad especially head gasket seals and valve cover gaskets . Let's add oil cooler and waterpump and also the famous 4 cats it comes with. Exhaust manifolds tend to go bad . Best to go after market . Car does loose some power due to heat and the way the cooling system is . It runs hot 🔥 it's a hot potato. After driving it hard you should just Crack the hood when u park to help cool the engine off or or or cut and modify hood slots . And did I say because of seals going bad she is quite the leaker. And people please if u do have the money and want to spend an ass load in labor then also please please change the Trans fluid and do a simple service because these transmissions are beast . Yes they are a bit laggy on shifting but u can tune that . They run great as long as u maintain them. My s6 is gone already but I do miss her . I spent a great deal of cash just getting her OK to drive after I bought her . Breaks rotors coils sparkplugs oil and coolant change carbon cleaning is not cheap . Remember u have 2 extra cylinders and she isn't a cheap whore either . I called her Kardashian because she is not cheap she only wants the best . And plus there's not much on tuning or turbos. Just e85 and ecu tune with Exhaust system will get u to 465 crank with 460 pounds of torque. They are fun but tons of cash for something that can't be modded alot . Do not boost this car Trans can't take it and motor can only handle max 500hp before u send the motor to hell

    thank you so much for this video. I recently purchased a V10 S6 a few months ago and I'll make sure to look out for these problems. I'm the 4th owner, but from looking at the service history I'm guessing it was swapped around so much because people didn't want to spend money working on it. The car ended up blowing the motor just after i bought it (covered under dealer warranty) so I can totally understand why the last 2 owners put only 30k on it lol.

      @@itsswag007 if you follow the video you will realize this car is not meant for people who do late service or maintenance and a lot of the issues are things that should be fixed before they break or cause further issues. lastly all cars regardless of make will need maintenance due to age/time. I would buy it because a lot of the things mentioned can be done in your driveway. and common sense would say if buying a 13 year old high performance car be prepared to spend 7grand to get the maintenance up to date 😉

    Bought one 5 months ago. No issues so far. Great V10 barge, but it lacks sound. So I ordered a Milltek system for it. Should arrive soon. - Before that I had a C5 S6 with a Sportec exhaust system (see video on my channel).

      @@brzeyy Hi, yes still have the V10, use it every day. - Maintenance wise, servo oil line hat a leak, but that was cheap to replace, otherwise no mechanical issues. - Millek exhaust system is fantastic (check my videos). - Sure, it drinks liquid dinosaurs like there is no tomorrow, but hey, when every drive is an event, I'm fine. - All in all a great bargain. just to be accurate, you cannot replace OEM intake manifold with after market one to S6 or S8. Lot of things can be but this one not. I've dealt with this issue with S8 previously and I had to study the topic quite in detail. This video says at it is - you'd have two choice: by a new one (which is expensive) or try your luck with the second hand one. The first option is the preferred one, I'm afraid.

      to be honest, this issues happens when the owner doesn't maintain it as it should be maintained. Also as You can see on the auctions they made much more than 200k km and still are pretty good cars. It's a V10 car, not a r4 diesel, and comparing to other V10s like M5 it's cheap AF.

    • @arekb5951
      @arekb5951 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@Nayakazuyo well, V10 fans don't have it easy, E60 M5 is notoriously unreliable too. It's kinda sad, both BMW and Audi made bulletproof cars in the 90s and early 2000s. I'm still on Audi formus, as I have owned two Audis, reading about problems in the new A6 C8 left me speechless. Some people have problems with closing the doors (they sag), but after fixing sagging doors in authorized Audi service people hear and FEEL the wind coming through door seals. Panel gaps are so uneven that the car looks like it was in a wreck at some point. Electronics has a mind on its own, it can even open the boot during the night completely by itself. I know I wandered off the topic, but seeing once my favourite car maker turn to shit makes me angry at them. That's not premium quality, not for this price. Regular A6 C6 is fine though if you take care of it, as you said.

    • @jtherealtor
      @jtherealtor 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Engine is great actually. Depends on maintenance. Technically it's the more reliable option of the V10 sedans (by a large margin). The suspension is great and not meant to be comfortable. Most owners replace their dampers with Blistein HDs and then the car can hang with most of the smaller euro coupes on a race track (road course). Chassis rust, very rare and also comes down to owner maintenance.
