So true, this support weapon is slept on so hard right now. I recently started using it after they added the program ammo to it, and cluster mode completely changed my opinion on this weapon. Cluster mode is not only safer to use than flak, but it also lets you do cool stuff like shoot the rockets in the air and let the bomblets fall down on top of the enemies. You can even take out mind control towers by raining down bomblets from a distance. Plus, you can still use flac to snipe stuff from further away. I always end up with the most kills in a mission whenever I bring the airburst now.
I have started using the airburst recently and my absolute favorite thing is to switch to cluster and fire into the sky, a bit less effective but also covers a wider area and looks cool
I've recently discovered a love of these things vs bots... Unfortunately, I don't do a good job of sticking with my team, which means I'm left dealing with hulks and tanks without a dedicated AT weapon.
@RonnieJamesDeodorant here recently the airburst launcher was given programmable ammo, flak which is the standard familiar load, and cluster which is the new ammo. You can switch by holding reload
you get attack planes at 5 minute mark and you don't use the weapon that was intended for so what is the reason to use it? it's a weak ass support weapon barely any1 uses it and it's infamous for killing the whole team including the person using it. meanwhile recoilles does everything better than this even the EAT

Straight up my favorite weapon for bugs. No need to bring Eagle Cluster Bomb - I AM the cluster bomb!
i tend to use cluster more on bugs unless im ambushing a patrol. Those damn hoppers 😂.

The Airburst Rocketlauncer will take out Hulks. Bring a Missile turret to help with the tanks.
So real, thank you Super Earth for suggesting me to use it via a Personal Order. Such a great Anti-Infantry weapon

Yeah I have a problem where squad members start running in the direction I just launched a rocket and they disintegrate :/
Have it always had two kinds of firing modes? I missed that a bunch lol. Used it occasionally, but only used proximity

I mean this is a team oriented build, so someone else can fill in that role.

Of course, Recoiless and EAT can OS a patrol in a single shot, you r right pal, not delusional at all
@ you can with recoilles here and there it has he ammo but that isnt its job
