Just an idea! When you setup an auto water change system for the house! Setup your drain for the tanks to send it to the dam! The water can have a second use and help provide you a refill on the dam! P.S grew up western sydney suburbs and now living in rural Hunter Valley! So not to far a different story.
Can use a pvc drain pipe or irrigation line dug into the ground (or above the ground) and that can drain it away into there. Anyway lots of ways to achieve it!
Nice, the property looks great. You could definitely landscape around the dam, and maybe build a BBQ/chill out area next to it. When the fish keeping gets even more serious, there's plenty of space to drop some climate-controlled shipping containers 😉 Also looks like it's not too late to convince the parents to build a moat around the house....put some power-heads, and you could have some trout doing laps around the house 😆
Congrats man!! I dream to own a property where I can own lots of animals. If I were you I would use the property to breed and raise aquarium fish to sell.
Nice Bodgie. I live on a 30 acre ex fruit block. I am slowly revegitating with malle and eucalyptus trees. I'm not lucky to have enough rain for a dam, although I do have quite a few large meat ant nests like yours. How big is your place?
Dude that is awesome, 30 acres would be a legit dream haha, this property is 8 acres. We do have some non-native and noxious natives we have cleared to allow for better eucalypt growth. It's been a whole learning experience getting this all completed haha
So very awesome for your family! That was a fun tour, thank you!
Thank you tonnes Audra!
