I think it depends for the phone recordings. Sometimes the show/band bans phone recording and sometimes they allow it. Though I do agree japanese crowds will adhere to these rules while western crowds (not all) will be obnoxious and do it anyway. Also, I definitely agree with the moment of silence. I saw a video of this song in the US and there was constant screaming and shushing during the silent part. 😅
I love seeing new listener enjoying One Ok Rock and started becoming a fans. I’ve been their fan since 2008 and One Ok Rock is the greatest rock band ever come out of Japan. Oh and just a little information if you didn’t know, one of the band members Ryota (bass guitar) is married to Avril Lavigne sister.
One Ok Rock is a japanese band famouse in their home country and in Asia. They play a wide rock genre. I suggest “We Are” in Ambitions Japan Dome Tour.
The fact that Taka was super sick that night to the point that the concert was delayed to like close to an hour. Then he comes out and performs like THIS. It's INCREDIBLE.
I know someone mentioned it but let me add a couple of things, the moment of silence was for Chester from Linkin Park, LP was the band's idol, especially for Taka. LInkin Park and One OK Rock was actually supposed to have a tour together but it was cancelled due to Chester's death. Oh and also if you want some more goosebumps, checkout the We Are 18Fes Live, where they sing their song We Are with a thousand 18 year olds to commemorate the lowering of Japan's voting age from 20 to 18.
Possibly the best band we have today, Japanese or not. His vocal is insane. They should be called One Amazing Rock. Btw, they also have so many amazing tracks. Please do "We Are" next. That is one hell of an anthem song.
I'm glad you enjoyed my recommendation. The members are Taka (lead singer), Ryota (bass), Toru (guitar) and Tomoya (drums). They have a huge following in Japan and as you could see the Japanese audience respects them a lot. They know when to be silent. I'm sure there will be some comments mentioning that the long pause was in memory of Chester Bennington because OOR was supposed to tour with Linkin Park and Taka was friends with Chester. However, he also made the break at the concert that took place in the first half of 2017 when Chester was still alive. The pause was shorter there and he may have extended it for Chester, but it is definitely there to build tension and connect to the following line: "Silence strikes like a hurricane". Taka was sick at this concert but still did a great job. Taka writes many of the lyrics and he wants to deliver a meaningful message. He has not only a great voice, he's also a very emotional singer and his interaction with the crowd is awesome. OOR is a rabbit hole to go down. They have soft ballads, hard rock songs with growls and screams and everything in between. There is something for everyone. Check out "We are" from the same tour (AMBITIONS JAPAN DOME TOUR), "I was king" (orchestra version), "Good Goodbye" (an acoustic song), Renegades (co-written by Ed Sheeran) etc. They have so many bangers. I had the pleaseure to see them live in Germany this year. It was at a smaller venue with about 3,000 people, but it was an amazing experience. If you get the chance to see them live , don't miss it!
It’s really cool and interesting to see the crowd interact (or not) the way they did. As an American, things are just done so differently and you’d probably never see that (okay, maybe if the artist SPECIFICALLY said we were going to take a moment of silence). That was such an incredibly intense moment and it really build up the moment for his next lines. We did see a couple people say that moment was for Chester. Knowing he did it previously, probably not. But if it was longer, it very well could have been extended for that. Either way, such a powerful and beautiful moment. Taka’s voice is insanely good. And knowing he was sick during that and it still sounded that good?! Awesome, man. We will get all those ones added to the list. We really are both looking forward to exploring them more! You continue to just have the best recommendations time after time 🤘🏻 And that is so cool! I think we both wished we were at the concert of this video we reacted to. Whether 3,000 or 30,000 I’m sure they put on a great show and it’s one to not be missed. We will definitely keep our eyes o it to see if they’re ever anywhere even close to us!
Thanks so much for the info. I've always wanted to go see Linkin Park in concert years ago, which unfortunately will never be. Found OOR recently and instantly fell for them, the same way I fell for Linkin Park years ago and still now. 🎶💕
@@Killermcknight you should try an listen the songs of My First Story too, they are really good. The solist of My First Story is Hiro, it's actually the brother of Taka the solist of One OK Rock.
Welcome to ONE OK ROCK! Enjoy your time in the ONE OK ROCK rabbit hole lol. Seeing them perform live in person is definitely worth it! I've seen them twice and need to go to more of their shows whenever they come back to the US. Watch We Are live performance next!
I was in this crowd😬 ONE OK ROCK's concerts are amazing. The original version of this song features 5 Seconds of Summer. The band just finished touring Europe. They were headlining their own shows and also opening for Muse. Check out "We are" from the same concert or "Stand Out Fit In" at Orchestra Japan Tour. If you want something with more rock vibes, try "The Beginning" at Eye of the Storm Japan Tour or "Mighty Long Fall" at 35xxxv Japan Tour. This band is just so good and believe me, you will not be disappointed with the rest of their discography.
This band is filled with talented individuals and I think you will find they are extremely kind to their fans. So watch as many of their live performances as you can because it really shows our kind they really are to their fans.
@@Killermcknight Coming from a One Ok Rock fan, their live performances are better than the MV/Studio versions. If you guys gonna react to their live performances. “We Are” 18 fes and “Wasted Nights” Eye of the Storm Japan Tour, are their more popular versions. Might as well throw in One Ok Rock “Clock Strikes” Mighty Long Fall at Yokohama Stadium and “Fight The Night” Orchestra version Japan Tour 2018 into the list too🤣
Thanks for reacting to my band. The vocalist is called Takahiro Moriuchi, Toru is the guitarist and is the leader, Tomoya is the drummer, and Ryota is the bassist. Taka and Toru are the ones who write and produce the songs. In "take what you want" Taka tells us the story of his family. He says that "I don't want anything in our broken home" since his parents divorced and that affected him a lot, Taka also left home at the age of 15 because he did not get along with his father (he is a very famous Japanese singer , his name is Shinichi Mori), I tell you that his mother is also a very famous singer (Masako Mori). Taka's father didn't want him to have a rock band, he didn't support him with his dream, that's why they were long distanced. Taka also has a younger brother named Hiroki, he also has a band "my first story", just this year they spoke again and luckily now Taka has a very good relationship with his family! hope u guys keep listening OOR ♥ ty
Hi.thank you found that band . I am really glad.i crazy love. that band always have great show.proud them of japanese. Please keeping listen their songs.
OMG!! Finallyyyy! One Ok Rock!!!!!!! Please react to "We Are ambitions tour next pleaseeee you'll never regret reacting to this band. They're just amazing!!!! ❤
One thing is for sure, you wont be disappointed by listening to more song of One Ok Rock! Some of their songs go hard and some are more like this one, but they are all performed with a lot of emotion and I'd deffo recommend that you go with live videos if possible. They have several official live videos so it's easy to find. Personally I'd recommend "We are" as the next song. Oh and I believe this concert was in Tokyo Dome. Sure looked like it anyway. And the official live video of "We are" is at the same place.
Nice reaction. ONE OK ROCK is a japanese band, but they're signed to Fueled By Ramen since 2016, if I am not mistaken. If you want to go deep down into their discography, I would like to recommend you to watch "We Are" live from Japan dome tour
Taka really has a special ability to control the crowds! I've experienced it 😅 even tho the crowd here in Canada was way smaller than the concerts they hold in Japan but we were quiet when he wanted us to be lol
Welcome to the amazing world of One Ok Rock. This is only the beginning of a fantastic journey. And their live performances are the way to go. My suggestions are Deeper Deeper and Mighty Long Fall live from Yokohama Stadium. Thank you. ❤️
Love when people discover One Ok Rock. Better late than never. If they ever do another North American tour, I highly recommend y’all go. They’re so great live.
So fun fact .. taka and Chester were friends who met on warped tour , one ok rock were meant to open for linkin park a few weeks after Chester’s death , this was a tribute to Chester after his passing hence the silence and emotion
Love ONE OK ROCK so much. They are one of favorite J-Rock band. I really want to see them again when they tour America. Taka is such an a amazing singer.
Please listen to more live performances of One Ok Rock!! Like Clock Strikes and We Are!!! Renegades piano version is also amazing, as well as their covers of Easy on Me and Hello by Adele!!! I attended their concert back in 2018 and I was BAWLING my eyes out!!! I've been a fan since 2010!! More people need to hear about One Ok Rock! Their music literally saved my life and I am so happy about how much their popularity has grown over the years. I love your reactions!! It makes me so happy! 💗from the Philippines!

As a long time fan of them, I also enjoy their live more than the studio version. they're known for their live. The studio version feel lacking somehow, it still great tho
As only seeing one of their performances so far, I can’t speak to that outside of this song, but I personally feel that way about particular artists. I can see them being that same way!

There are only a few artists, bands or groups that the LIVE experience is so much better than their studio and they are one of them. That's why I listen to them on TH-cam. It's crazy. Their orchestra was wild. They're acoustic as well. Everything about them is just insane.
Their lives are so good. Ive been to their concert 2 times now and I still want to go. And you really do know when to stop etc when you are there. They just radiate an awesome environment for everyone around them
One Ok Rock is #1 on my international list of bands/singers I love. Taka’s vocal range and accuracy is like a slice of heaven. Toru’s guitar rifts are just 🤯 mind blowing. Ryota’s gift as a bassist is intense! Oh man Tomoya on drums…..Holy Heck Batman! His techniques and style is second to none. As a whole these four men are one heck of a powerhouse! Goosebumps with every song…..Wasted Nights from Eye of the Storm album is like 🔥
That’s definitely our plan! Unless we get a crazy amount of requests for a specific song to be hit the live version. I think it just seems like it will be a much better version live.
I'm stuck in a loop that I can't get out of. Ever since I saw their concert. I don't think I've ever loved a rock band more. It made me come alive again.
Finally!♥️♥️More ONE OK ROCK Plz! They are widely known by their great live performances. We should go their concert at least once in our life, haha😉 React to" I was king (official video from orchestra japan tour)"🙏
Thanks a lot for your nice reaction to “Take What You Want”. I love the song very much. One OK Rock & Wagakki Band are my most favorite Japanese rock bands. They're filled both with high talented members. Splendid songs of OOR are recommended by many guys. "We are", “Wasted Nights”, “Wherever You Are”, "Stand Out Fit In", "Deeper Deeper", "I was king", "Good Goodbye" and more, already in your list. I recommend you also "Your Tears Are Mine", “Renegades”, “Fight the Night” and “Save Yourself”. Looking forward to your next reaction. By the way, do you know Taka's parents are very famous singers in Japan? He inherited the good qualities of his parents. Husky sound, emotional singing from his father and soft, warm, clear, long singing from his mother. Of course + his own training, soul and ability. highly highly recommend listening to their live version of “We Are”. also played at tokyo dome i believe. whenever i listen to it i get CHILLS. it’s insane.
Note that this concert was also the time, when the lead singer Taka was sick and did not have his full voice potential (sore throat etc.) Nice reaction btw! :)
Gotta recommend their live performance of "good goodbye" in 2015 xxxv35 tour Cool reaction. Like how you guys don't pull the whole "that wasn't what i expected" thing. Very authentic
The reaction ive been waiting for. Hahahah thanks guys for doing one ok rock. You should check out their other live performances. They're just awesome. You wont be dissappointed checking out their other performances. Just like Cakra 😂
They have tons of good songs❤ and one ok rock=live performance. I highly recommend 'we are' that is the same live❤ Wasted Nights [Official Video fro m "EYE OF THE STORM" JAPAN TOUR] I was King [Official Video from O rchestra Japan Tour] Stand Out Fit In [orchestra Ver.] You guys should check them out❤ I hope you guys like it❤
I've been rewatching this over and over again since it's release and the moment the crowd sang along would always give me goosebumps. so awesome! And they know when to start or stop singing along by watching Taka's hand gestures. he'd give a signal so I always had to focus on him all the time during the OOR concert
I went to a football match when I visited Japan in 2017, and you can't stand up when the game is on. I would've loved to be atthis concert. It astounds me that this was what he was like when he was sick, how is he when he's healthy. Absolute professional.
Thank you for your reaction. React to "Adele-Hello" (cover by Taka from ONE OK ROCK) He has an amazing voice and talent! Please listen to the incredibly beautiful cover.❤
At that time, the concert was right after one of the members of the band he was scheduled to tour with had passed away, and it seems that Taka himself was not feeling well. So there's a lot of emotion involved. Also, in Japanese culture, there is a custom called silent prayer. It is a time to pray for the deceased, during which you close your eyes and remain quiet for about a minute, thinking of the deceased. In the first scene, there was a long period of silence, which may have been a moment of silence. Also, the deceased was watching as the lights of the stage were shining down from above in pitch darkness, and at the end he held the microphone high to receive the voices of the fans, and he said, ``So many people are singing❗ Can you hear me? ⁉️” It looked like that. I think they wanted to convey their feelings to the deceased in a way that could only be done through a concert.
Kills me that so many people are just now finding out about One Ok Rock and here I became a fan 13 years ago and I thought I was late to the Party. I'm really glad others are finally finding out what a great awesome band they are. There are some really good rock band in Japan. I've never been there but been a world explorer on the web and have found great bands and singers all over the world. One Ok Rock is one of my top bands. For awhile I actually preferred their earlier stuff but lately they have been coming out with some really great music. Oh and a FYI for those that do not know the singer Taka has a younger brother who is the leader singer of My Frist Story and which is another great Japanese rock band. Both their mother and father were also singers so it runs in the family.
Awesome reaction!! Looking forward to more… 🤘🤘 OOR and Panic at the Disco are actually on the same label and Brendan Urie cowrote one of the songs on their latest album!
The more you find out about them (especially their live performances) the more attracted and in love you will be. My recommendations are 'We Are', 'I was king (orchestra ver), and 'Clock Strikes'. Their vocalist (Taka) also has a younger brother who has a band and is also a vocalist in his band. His name is Hiro from the band 'MY FIRST STORY'. If there is a chance to 'get acquainted' with them, visiting 'THE FIRST TAKE' channel would be a pretty good choice, there are 3 songs there: I'm a mess, Home and Hyena. The Channel also has lots of other cool collaborations from Japanese singers (and some foreign singers) if you are planning to make reaction videos for more artists from Japan. Unfortunately OOR has not collaborated there yet.. if you are going to do it , reacting to songs from LiSA and Yuuri is my top recommendation. FYI, ONE OK ROCK and MY FIRST STORY will be performing on the same stage (Tokyo Dome), November this year.
As fans of Lara Fabian, if you like this kind of participation, you've gotta check out her live version of Je T'aime (live in Paris 2001). It's breathtaking and wonderful... just make sure you bring the tissues. Love your content, thanks!
Please listen to takas of Adeles hello it will blow u away, and the bands cover of easy on me by Adele. Then for a change try we are live and good goodbye. Their concerts are better then videos

They just radiate an awesome environment for everyone around them
It really seems like it! We hope to make a show sometime!!
More of One Ok Rock please! One of my favorite is Clock Srikes and Wasted Night Live!
Goosebumps with every song…..Wasted Nights from Eye of the Storm album is like 🔥
Keren one ok rock emang ❤
Good job 👍 ty for reaction 💪
Great reaction!! I would honestly recommend ALL of their live performances. They are truly talented and phenomenal!🖤🤟🏻
More one ok rock
The only way to react to these guys is through their live performances
That’s definitely our plan! Unless we get a crazy amount of requests for a specific song to be hit the live version. I think it just seems like it will be a much better version live.
Thank for react One Ok ROCK
Check out We Are live where the crowd sings with One Ok Rock. Nice reaction
One Ok Rock is an amazing band... thanks for reacting!
I'm stuck in a loop that I can't get out of. Ever since I saw their concert. I don't think I've ever loved a rock band more. It made me come alive again.
Finally!♥️♥️More ONE OK ROCK Plz!
They are widely known by their great live performances.
We should go their concert at least once in our life, haha😉
React to" I was king (official video from orchestra japan tour)"🙏

Note that this concert was also the time, when the lead singer Taka was sick and did not have his full voice potential (sore throat etc.)
Nice reaction btw! :)

Do more one ok rock reaction pleaseee!!!!
I've been rewatching this over and over again since it's release and the moment the crowd sang along would always give me goosebumps. so awesome!
And they know when to start or stop singing along by watching Taka's hand gestures. he'd give a signal so I always had to focus on him all the time during the OOR concert
Its my first con and hahaha I keep coming back to their con. Got to listen to them live 3x. Hopefully get to participate in their Japanese con too!!
I went to a football match when I visited Japan in 2017, and you can't stand up when the game is on. I would've loved to be atthis concert. It astounds me that this was what he was like when he was sick, how is he when he's healthy. Absolute professional.
Please do one oke rock We Are live Performance
More one ok rock live reaction pls

Awesome reaction!! Looking forward to more… 🤘🤘 OOR and Panic at the Disco are actually on the same label and Brendan Urie cowrote one of the songs on their latest album!
No way!? Okay that actually makes me really happy lol
「Luxury Disease」 album's "Neon" song is co-written with Panic's Brendan and is awesome!✌
I love your genuine reactions and how you guys enjoyed it. LOVE LOVE IT. Glad that you guys can feel how awesome they are.
u guys definitely has to watch their other life performance.. trust me its Wonderfulll
One ok Rock is Japan band ❤
looking forward for moreeeeeeee 🥳
hearing him sing is like hearing music for the first time
As fans of Lara Fabian, if you like this kind of participation, you've gotta check out her live version of Je T'aime (live in Paris 2001). It's breathtaking and wonderful... just make sure you bring the tissues. Love your content, thanks!
