My recommendations
Tribit stormbox micro 2 - $60 - 8/10 -
A really great sounding speaker at an affordable price and also very compact. Perfect for biking or the beach.
In addition, an application with an equalizer and a battery indicator is available
Soundcore Motion 300 - $80 - 7/10 -
Great sounding speaker with a nice customizable EQ and an adaptive EQ that changes the sound depending on position. But it can distort sometimes
JBL Partybox Encore - $300-330 - 9/10 -
A good loudspeaker with deep bass for a party. It has an equalizer app and has bass boost options that make it even better

1. You need a good loud speaker for home or outdoors, outdoors i would probably still choose Sony, its more compact and have great performance off axis, But JBL have deep bass so you can impress someone else more with this sound, It depends…

Thank you for done this comparison, as I know SONY ULT field 7 competitor is JBL Boombox 3, not the Partybox 120. The field 7 outperformed Boombox 3, but compared to Partybox 120, I must admit the bass of 120 insane deep. And JBL speakers well known for their deep bass capability. Not many speaker brands could beat the JBL in term of deep bass on the same class.
Both of them are respectful and great audio Brands.
there are the same price like the SONY SRS-XP700 so it is a fair comparison, the Boombox 3 is the price of the Sony 800 on discount.

As long as people keep raving about these party boxes, jbl wont make a 3 way. It wont make sense to change something thats a hit with most people. The average person isnt an audiophile. They just want smooth sound loud volume and a shit load of base. It would be nice to see a 3 way design tho. it would take these party boxes to another level

The Sony is way better, it has plenty of base and has enough mids and treble, the JBL is just boom boom and not very musical.
