I recently got a couple of these after watching several reviews. This is the one that I think played rock and metal the best--having personally tested different boomboxes. However, my only gripe is that the DSP seems to cut anything under 60hz once you go beyond ~45% volume. I hope they release an update that would remove this limiter.
What would you consider a "meaningful" upgrade from a single or pair of Tribit Stormbox Blasts? Just looking for something to take my parties to the next level without breaking the bank too much.
I absolutely loved the blast and still do to me the wking x20 is your answer . Got 2nd one on the way as I write this.. 241 shipped to your door off amazon no better deal out there imagin the blast but better everything better and deeper bass better mids highs amd whole lot louder plus it charges off type c cord so can have a Lil powerbakk and charge it on the go
I don't know if the Partybox Encore is still available anywhere for $200, but it is a great speaker with 2 wireless mics for party karaoke. I did a video a long time ago between the Encore Essential, which is the cheaper version, against the Blast. Check out that video. And, as Wade mentioned, the X20 is available for $225 and a really nice boombox.
@@JaysStraightUpReviews@wadec6799 Thanks for the information. I have been looking into the Proreck PA systems as well. Not sure If I should stick with portable speakers like the X20 or Encore or venture into pa or other plug-in speaker systems since I am looking for outdoor sound good enough for small worship sessions (5-10 people) and outdoor movie nights. I know bring around an entire PA system might be more of a hassle.
@@JaysStraightUpReviews hi, I meant the JBL Boombox in version 2 and version 3. I own many Bluetooth speakers a bit like you but I don't have the Boombox 3 version so I was asking you if actually the BOOMBOX 3 that you tested against the Sony Ult Field7 proves to be exclusively more incisive in the deeper base but less detailed in the mids and highs. I purchased Ult Field 7 from Portable Speaker Malt to add to my collection. I will also test with JBL BOOMBOX 2 and the TEUFEL BOOMSTER XL, Marshall TUFTON and also AIWA Exos 9! can be a worthy rival. I'll stop here since it would bore me with a long list👍😀😉
Thank you. I was concerned that only the side lights could be turned off; while activating bass boost would still cause the *ULT* lettering to start flashing regardless. In a dark room this would be distracting.
Sorry for the confusion, but when you turn off the lights it turns off the ones around the passive radiators, but if you have one of the ULT modes enabled, those lights remain on. The remedy is use custom EQ, turn that and ULT modes off all together, or put a piece of black tape over the ULT on the controls.😂
You must be new here. I have done videos on speakers of all sizes. The Sony Field 1 isn't out yet in America. It's possible when it comes out next week that I may get it.

I do the best I can. As far as the Field 7, it does lose a substantial amount of bass at high to max volume. It doesn't really have the deepest bass capability, either. Even their app EQ only goes down to 63Hz.

Wow that bass sounds insane
Well it's not really INSANE impressive. 🤪
@@JaysStraightUpReviews The bass is very sane.😅

I have jbl but I’m really thinking of getting this it sounds insane
It has solid bass, but doesn't go as low as say the Boombox 3.
@@JaysStraightUpReviewsYes. But it has more balance sound compared to let say JBL Boombox 3.
Great last reviews Mr Hand come back to work ☺️!!! Great review!!
Mr Hand is Mr inconsistent. 😆
vertically makes sense if you have 2 in stereo...or if you are outside and the speaker has to stand on the ground
Yeah, that makes sense. I have done this with similar speakers in the past that can be horizontal and vertical.
Hi, I wonder if the definition of the sound is richer in detail, even if only slightly, compared to a JBL 2 or 3?
What is a JBL 2 OR 3?

Splendid review. Can you turn off the *ULT* lighting? That would prove distracting if I used this thing while sleeping.

Lol, fair enough.
hi, does anybody know how sony ult-fileld 7's bass stack up against abramtek e-500?
Is it possible to connect a sub-woofer to ULT Field 7
I wouldn't think so. The Field 7 doesn't have an audio out jack.
Cuál tiene bajos más profundos ? El JBL Boombox 3 o el sony ?
El boombox 3 tiene algo más de bajos profundos, ahora mismo está de oferta en España Amazon a solo 380€, es mucho mejor que el sony
Boombox 3
Will you review the ult 1 or dont you do small speakers

i feel like it's very similar to xb23 with ult so you get a little bit more bass and choice of deep or punchy
