The KIA EV9 is an amazing Electric SUV and capable of charging at a very fast rate 350kwh, however it's restricted by the charging infrastructure that aren't capable of charging to that speed.

As much as I love EVs, this vid highlights one of the bigger problems right now. Charging stations are still relatively sparse across the country and I thnk that's a big factor for a lot of people when it comes to buying electric. I know the networks are growing and people will eventually get over that range anxiety, but it's slow going right now

Network needs to grow and it needs to be able to keep up with the vehicle's capabilities. Not much point in making vehicles that can charge up to 350kwh if you can't find a charger that is capable of doing that. It's not the vehicle's fault at all, it's the charger's problem. Also EVs are still amazing daily drivers where you charge at home.

You can use a 350kW charger, but you can’t charge at 350kW. The max, depending on the model is in the low 200ish kW

The issue is finding chargers that will go faster than that. They need to build them in a way they can be easily upgraded either via OTA or other means because right now it's all over the place from 50kwh, 100kwh or 180kwh

You don't need to say per hour. Watts are a per time unit unit. Eg you wouldn't say mph per hour
Also kWh is a unit of energy storage. kW is the charge rate

kWh is how I can provide X kW for 1 hour

Thanks for the info! I'll keep it in mind for my next video.

Yeah the infrastructure isn't there. That's why I've been avoiding it.

It's what's keeping most people away I would say because 24 minutes to charge a full battery is acceptable even on road trips.... Just the chargers can't keep up

The infrastructure is not keeping up with the cars which is sad because that would make it so much better. Some of the new EVs can charge a full battery in 15 minutes but there's no way of getting that with our current infrastructure.
