Loving that Chile kit - a Subbuteo classic heavyweight classic! Interesing that Subbuteo painted all South American teams with a dark skin tone, when not many of the real players actually had dark skin. 1:56 -that is what they call an absolute SCREAMER!! 1-1!! Good result for Chile that, in spite of the Germans peppering the Chile goal with some great shots. Like the handicapping idea for the Haiti vs Zaire game - I did used to own an original ref. 175 back in the day - another really cool-looking kit.
Yes, a little beauty that Chile kit. I thought the same about the South American teams, but I guess there was more of an ethnic mix and the white guys were more tanned! I’ve decided to do a goal of the tournament so that goal is in the mix at this early stage. The Zaire and Haiti kits are nice as well, I think the handicap adds a bit of realism, we’ll see in the results.
@@nellyfett2681 that’s a good shout, funnily enough I was chatting to someone about that Zaire free kick the other day. Never seen anything like it before or since 😁
@@clivemedcalf9300 I normally adjust the keepers position depending on the angle the shot will be coming in from. I lay them down as in some cases they tip the ball around the post. And sometimes I get it right and sometimes I get it wrong, just like real keepers 👍
Brilliant Dean! The opening music you have was always played at banger racing when I was I kid!😂 I’m planning on getting my board out and having a Subbuteo game or two this weekend⚽️👍🏻
@@davetrave3557 I went to a banger race once, can’t for the life of me remember where it was. But it was quite entertaining. Great stuff on getting the board out 👍
Thanks for watching, video 2 of many! 😁
Love the way you play the game then show the footage from 74. Brilliant.
@@ianpatterson123 thank you Ian, very nice of you to say 👍, hopefully you’ll think the same after 30+ videos 😁

Great game action packed I think the goalkeepers came out on top ..hope you are keeping well.😊
@@pauledmonds6824 thanks Paul, all well thank you. Yes the keeper positioning wasn’t too bad in this one 😊 could do nothing about the goals though.
Need a goal of the tournament vote at the end of the competition.
Also need to recreate the Zaire free kick haha!

Whilst admittedly poor. Haiti and Zaire were the highlights of the first group stage.
The world awaits total football!
@robinma2000 they were very enthusiastic and entertaining in their own way!
Do you play the whole game with thd jeepers laying down,or do you attempt to make saves
