I had a really hard time watching the sequels as I tried really hard to suppress my laughter whenever Kylo Ren would appear on screen. When Kylo Ren took off his mask I literally thought "What is Lee Kwang Soo (South Korean actor/comedian/model who looks and acts like Kylo Ren in real life) doing on screen?!" This made it more fun to watch.
“I understand you now. Your weakness. Your pain. You allowed love to cloud your judgement. I will succeed where you failed.” - Kylo Ren, to the mask of Darth Vader. Star Wars: Duel of the Fates
Didn't really notice this theme back then but now I'm starting to love it. And it gave me chills to hear it again in episode VIII during the elevator scene!
Kylo's theme is chaotic and unstable, but also menacing with a bit of uncertain sadness. How could a theme fit a character better? This theme is better than Imperial March.
I didn't realize how much TFA score has stuck with me. It not only elicits all the stuff about the character and story that it's supposed to but it also transports me back to 2015. We first saw TFA almost 6 years ago now. I was 14 when it came out and I'm 20 now...
Say what you say, but the sequel trilogy has a special place in my heart especially the force awakens. Because my life was kinda rocky back then and star wars helped me go through it. I watch every single star wars movie once a year, it is a ritual if you may.
When you really think about it the sequel trilogy was more about Ben's journey My point : You see in the beginning that Kylo is trying to be like vader , the main evidence of this is his Helmet . We in the beginning believe its concealing something terrible, much like how Vader's helmet covered his scarred face . The dark mysterious robes , the thrashing anger He even talks to vaders melted helmet telling him that he will will finish what he started . But when Kylo takes off the helmet and we see he's just a normal guy , it throws us off , why would he wear it ? Simple , he wants to be like Vader , all powerful and feared We even see how angered he gets when Rey tells him he'll never be as strong as Darth Vader In the first movie many of the things he does is out of anger and trying to be someone he's not That's why he fails in his battle against Rey . He feels so conflicted on the light of Ben Solo but the darkness of Kylo Ren , and trying to find out who he is . So when he's tasked with killing Han Solo to prove he belongs in the dark side , he hesitates Before doing the deed In The last jedi we really see Kylo's growth Were hinted back to Kylo being who he's not when Snoke tells him "Take that ridiculous thing off" his helmet , he needs it for no reason . Vader needed his helmet to stay alive But Ben ? He never needed it When Snoke berates him telling him he failed , he gets up to fight but cant due to being struck by force lightning. He feels conflicted yet again In his anger he smashes his helmet Because he realizes he's not going to be like Vader , hes going to be Kylo Ren , do things on his own terms , but we still see that conflict of light in him . When we get towards the end Kylo kills his true enemy Supreme Leader Snoke and tells Rey to come with him that they shouldn't let anyone govern who they're supposed to be We see after his fight with Rey that breaks the lightsaber that hes much more angry Let's think about it , he killed Han Solo as instructed but was still told he Failed , he finally did things on his own terms as his own person , killing snoke but is rejected , he cant stop the pain of feeling torn apart when he feels like all he does is screw up Kylo takes his place as supreme leader . And tells luke he will kill Rey and destroy the resistance *rise of Skywalker spoilers* The movie opens up with Kylo finding another being that poses a threat to him , The Emperor But when told to bring Rey to him He repairs his mask , hes not being Vader anymore , hes Supreme Leader Kylo Ren , a more brutal Vader We see this in the scene when he force chokes and official and throws him to the ceiling for opposing him Much like how Vader only choked an official in A New Hope when he opposed him We see that Kylo has found his place in the dark but has he really ? No , Ben Solo is at his strongest here becoming his own person instead of being controlled by the dark side And all he needed was to see that someone could see that pain what he was fighting with inside. After his seeing Rey heal him and his talk with his mother and Father He now knows who he was always meant to be Ben Solo And that movie is his redemption Thus why it's called The Rise of Skywalker The sequel Trilogy is more about Ben than you really think So please instead of cussing me out to prove how right you are , share your thoughts, I'd like to see what you guys think
@@raw_riot_6917 He deserved to get a different ending from Vader though. The last movie was about Rey finding out her origins and telling her she doesn't have to be like Palpatine.. So why does Ben have to end like Vader? It's unfair!

Kylo Ren is not supposed to be an evil character. He's a suffering guy who fell to the dark side to find answers to his world. You can feel his suffering in this melody. For those who say "he's a pathetic villain", it's because he's not a villain, but an antihero.

1:09-1:16 I LOVE that part. The intensity of those strings playing quickly and urgently perfectly captures Ren- dangerous and conflicted.
"You have to let the past die. Kill it if you have to. That's the only way to become what you are truly meant to be."- The best line from the best character.
"TRAITOR!"

When Hux said that I laughed so much
IKR, man got chocked so he kinda had no choice lol :D
Kylo has such a bad temper lmao
Yup :D
I had a really hard time watching the sequels as I tried really hard to suppress my laughter whenever Kylo Ren would appear on screen. When Kylo Ren took off his mask I literally thought "What is Lee Kwang Soo (South Korean actor/comedian/model who looks and acts like Kylo Ren in real life) doing on screen?!" This made it more fun to watch.
“I understand you now. Your weakness. Your pain. You allowed love to cloud your judgement. I will succeed where you failed.”
- Kylo Ren, to the mask of Darth Vader.
Star Wars: Duel of the Fates
Didn't really notice this theme back then but now I'm starting to love it. And it gave me chills to hear it again in episode VIII during the elevator scene!
Best character in the sequel trilogy.
This is such a powerful suite, it shows all the evil and emotion that comes with the character- it’s just perfect
I actually liked Kylo since the beginning AND I freaking LOVE his theme
Vader’s theme is amazing but holy this is incredible
Ren is such a fantastic villain.
I honestly don’t know who’s theme is better Vader’s or Kylo’s... they are both so sinister and just absolutely amazing, instantly recognizable...
Vador don't have really a personal theme . There is the imperial march but it's for all the empire, not only for vador . Kylo ren has HIS theme
@@vincent-lm8sv yeah but it is strongly associated with Vader and you can definitely call it Vader’s theme
John Williams is a legend amongst mere men. He does no wrong.
Kylo's theme is chaotic and unstable, but also menacing with a bit of uncertain sadness. How could a theme fit a character better?
This theme is better than Imperial March.
Nah.
yes
Hunter Lawrence definitely not

You're welcome :)

Let’s be honest, we all came for that part.
Hands down Kylo ren got me into star wars
“The droid… stole a freighter?”
You can hear Snoke's chant theme in the background towards the end.
@@G1-D0RAH glad i'm not the only one😅
Don’t worry the sequels will be more appreciated in the future
John Williams seems to know the characters better than the writers do sometimes
After The Last Jedi he is one of my favorite characters :)
When you really think about it the sequel trilogy was more about Ben's journey
My point :
You see in the beginning that Kylo is trying to be like vader , the main evidence of this is his Helmet . We in the beginning believe its concealing something terrible, much like how Vader's helmet covered his scarred face . The dark mysterious robes , the thrashing anger
He even talks to vaders melted helmet telling him that he will will finish what he started .
But when Kylo takes off the helmet and we see he's just a normal guy , it throws us off , why would he wear it ?
Simple , he wants to be like Vader , all powerful and feared
We even see how angered he gets when Rey tells him he'll never be as strong as Darth Vader
In the first movie many of the things he does is out of anger and trying to be someone he's not
That's why he fails in his battle against Rey . He feels so conflicted on the light of Ben Solo but the darkness of Kylo Ren , and trying to find out who he is . So when he's tasked with killing Han Solo to prove he belongs in the dark side , he hesitates
Before doing the deed
In The last jedi we really see Kylo's growth
Were hinted back to Kylo being who he's not when Snoke tells him
"Take that ridiculous thing off" his helmet , he needs it for no reason . Vader needed his helmet to stay alive But Ben ? He never needed it
When Snoke berates him telling him he failed , he gets up to fight but cant due to being struck by force lightning. He feels conflicted yet again
In his anger he smashes his helmet
Because he realizes he's not going to be like Vader , hes going to be Kylo Ren , do things on his own terms , but we still see that conflict of light in him . When we get towards the end Kylo kills his true enemy Supreme Leader Snoke and tells Rey to come with him that they shouldn't let anyone govern who they're supposed to be
We see after his fight with Rey that breaks the lightsaber that hes much more angry
Let's think about it , he killed Han Solo as instructed but was still told he Failed , he finally did things on his own terms as his own person , killing snoke but is rejected , he cant stop the pain of feeling torn apart when he feels like all he does is screw up
Kylo takes his place as supreme leader . And tells luke he will kill Rey and destroy the resistance
*rise of Skywalker spoilers*
The movie opens up with Kylo finding another being that poses a threat to him , The Emperor
But when told to bring Rey to him
He repairs his mask , hes not being Vader anymore , hes Supreme Leader Kylo Ren , a more brutal Vader
We see this in the scene when he force chokes and official and throws him to the ceiling for opposing him
Much like how Vader only choked an official in A New Hope when he opposed him
We see that Kylo has found his place in the dark but has he really ?
No , Ben Solo is at his strongest here becoming his own person instead of being controlled by the dark side
And all he needed was to see that someone could see that pain what he was fighting with inside. After his seeing Rey heal him and his talk with his mother and Father
He now knows who he was always meant to be Ben Solo
And that movie is his redemption
Thus why it's called
The Rise of Skywalker
The sequel Trilogy is more about Ben than you really think
So please instead of cussing me out to prove how right you are , share your thoughts, I'd like to see what you guys think
Kylo Ren carried the whole trilogy IMO
The new trilogy may not have been what everyone hoped for, but John Williams has not lost his touch.
Who's here after watching Rise of Skywalker?
Died a hero and once again a Jedi. Sad arc and also beautiful at the same time.
Yup. He died like Vader, as he turns to the good side.
He was great through out the entire film. Imo he’s a better character than original trilogy Vader.
@@raw_riot_6917
He deserved to get a different ending from Vader though. The last movie was about Rey finding out her origins and telling her she doesn't have to be like Palpatine.. So why does Ben have to end like Vader? It's unfair!
@@theawesomemepreussen Totally agree with you. #BenSoloDeservedBetter
The song is so chaotic. There are undertones of a happier sound, but the chaos drowns it out. I love Kylo Ren/Ben Solo. He deserved better. He truly did.

I love John Williams' work for the sequels. Amazing.

I loved the sequels but Kylo is my favourite character in all of Star Wars. Unforgettable.

Sequels suck
“I know what I have to do, but I don’t know if I have the strength to do it.”
The first 5 iconic notes of the melody at 0:50 legit sound like it's saying "I am the bad guy" and I love it, lmao
"Let the past die. Kill it, if you have to. That's the only way you can become who you were meant to be."

My boy Ben just turned a man.
Awesome Entertainment Fuck yeah bitch
Kylo Ren Yo deadass please kill Rey in the next film, at first I liked her now I'm starting to hate that bitch.
Did you seriously link your own channel in your comment when if we wanted to see your channel we could just click your name?
Kylo Ren is not supposed to be an evil character. He's a suffering guy who fell to the dark side to find answers to his world. You can feel his suffering in this melody. For those who say "he's a pathetic villain", it's because he's not a villain, but an antihero.
People hate on the sequels (for good reason), but John Williams has never NOT been in his bag.
Just played this while playing Battlefront II and it's so good!
Always just so satisfying if you pick kylo on ga and theres a smooth transition between the map music and his theme.
MVP of the whole damned trilogy.
When I turned with that music on full volume in a public bus, full up kylo ren suit and sparkling lightsaber, I conquered earth for a second
0:30 when the last slice of pizza I left in the fridge is not there
JJ should have done the whole trilogy The fact they didn’t have a full plan over the 3 movies is actually baffling
@Katie Lewis but it also wasn’t guaranteed sequels, when sequels were made the story was continued by the same guy aka George Lucas where as the sequel trilogy was planned as 3 movies and then tried to give it to 3 different directors with their own visions
1:51 okay but Rey’s theme over here is pretty cool 😤👌🏻
thank's for the great videos and music
