- Once known as the “supervillain” of Hip Hop/Rap, MF DOOM was an influential and important part of the industry releasing many studio albums that are considered among one of the greatest. Whether that’d be Madvilliany, a collab album between Madlib and the man himself, or Mmm Food, and entire album about… food, but weirdly it works insanely well. And how can you forget such a groundbreaking debuted album Operation Doomsday. MF DOOM left a staple in Hip Hop before his death on October 31 2020 which nobody knew about until December 31 2020 (confirmed by his wife on an instagram post.) Nobody knew exactly how he died until an article was released recently explaining the shady and disturbing death of such an iconic figure. That is what i explain in this video

I think its just honestly crazy that a dude who influenced so many people and was a force to be reckoned with suddenly die. This dude had a lot to release and probably had a lotta unreleased songs (like the adult swim x mf doom album) this man should have never died. RIP DOOM
I vividly remember that New Years Eve when the info about Doom having died was released to the public. I just shortly checked my phone for msgs and stuff and that basically ruined my night for the next 2 hrs.

Correction: Doom's transformation from Zev Love X to MF Doom was ALWAYS apart of the plan back in the KDM days well before his brother died, he said this in a few interviews.

@@iambryn2012 It is negligence. Not all doctors are equal. Just like any other profession there will be people who are lazy, incompetent, arrogant or generally stupid. Some people just have no real human empathy and only show up for the check.
My mother is physically disabled and I have seperate health issues. I can assure you, your doctors are full of shit and you should get a double/triple diagnosis depending on the severity of the case. For every good doctor my mom or I have seen, we have probably moved on from or had a bad experience with 3 or more. Anyone with serious long term health issues (atleast in the US) can probably tell you tons of horror stories. (for context my mom had been a quadriplegic for 25 years and I have an enlarged heart)
I have likely had lupus since I was a child but didn't get diagnosed until I was 27 and in the early stages of kidney failure. My wife has intracranial hypertension but was treated like a drug addict almost every time she went to a hospital for years. General practitioners just didn't seem too concerned. Luckily she eventually got a shunt but, even after the diagnosis, doctors were oblivious to it and often still treat her like shit. For context, she has absolutely no history of drug abuse.

I was never really into rap (I am mostly rock nerd) but after pressuring from my friends, I decided to listen to him. I just got into him this year and he not only became my favorite rapper but one of my favorite musicians of all time. I wish I discovered him sooner. Because of him, I am now getting into Tyler, The Creator and Kendrick Lamar. What happened to him was absolutely horrible, I'm surprised the hospital hasn't been sued. Fate is a bitch. If there's one thing I wish to tell him, I would tell him "Thank you". He has truly changed my perception on music. May the madvillain rest in peace. ❤

MF DOOM is legitimately the reason I became a rapper. Got my first tattoo the day his death was announced, the mask on my arm forever now. I've always felt weird about what happened to him. Shit just does not add up.

the news coming out how he past via my friend informing me earlier this year of how he died in a hospital just a train ride away from me in the UK was shocking. it was sad enough he died on the same day my own grandad died tragically in 2020 so it was a crushing blow to lose such a unique rapper. he was always mentally fragile with all the hardships he had been dealt in his life but overcame them to become one of the very best. RIP Daniel Dumile. your unique and eccentric wordplay is still a missing ingredient in many people's lives.

Just so you know, Leeds isn't a company, its the county where DOOM lived in North East England, our hospitals are just named after the area they serve! Great video though, there was stuff I hadn't heard about.

in the US had a lot of terminal patients die earlier than they needed too. its like they used it as a way to get rid of all these people using resources that weren't paying in.. and many after they died their insurance refused to cover a lot of it burying the remaining family with the weight of millions of dollars of debt.. Beyond fucked up.
I know of people personally with very similar stories. In fact one of my best friends girlfriends died just recently. Look up the rise in sudden unexplained deaths in the last 3 years and you will be shocked. up ~40% in working aged people (as in not old people). Young healthy people are dropping dead world wide at rates far exceeding anything in modern history that isnt a war. These numbers do not count deaths associated from Covid 19. I wonder what else happened in 2020 that might have made it rise so much... hmmmm

I found out about him late in life, I think it was Sophomore year and I switched schools and became friends with a kid who had his own handmade MF Doom mask. Mf Doom is the best way to paint a picture with words, unlike any other.

I think it's good to point out that DOOM's treatment at that hospital was borderline medical negligence in the U.K. The family could sue with a good chance of success.
Good video, and while what happened to DOOM was awful a couple corrections, the article was written by a local newspaper for the city in which the hospital is located, and not by the company that ran the hospital, and the hospital DOOM died in, St James' in Leeds in ran by the UK's NHS so no company runs it in the first place, altho DOOMs wife should still sue.
Honestly, for me he was the GOAT. I was devastated when he died. Nobody was doing anything like what he was doing. Now he's gone, we've lost something we never had before and will never have again. Nobody is out there telling his weird stories, making up all those characters, nobody has that sense of humour, or his appreciation of the surreal. I'm sad as hell bros

this friend's father has some kids working in medical, they have been hesitating to take it to court but on the other hand understand how overworked staff was at that time. it's reaaaally though... they didnt press charges cuz they'd ruin their medical career :(
