Hi Serge. Yes we’re trying to fit in a lot this year and next year. Although we have a week off (which is lucky as we’ve caught the “bug”🤦🏻♂️) The Cotswolds are our nearest National Park but we hardly ever visit. It’s very crowded and commercialised but there are some stunning more quiet area too. Thanks again for that wonderful track Serge. I’ve shared it around locally here and people are enjoying it greatly 🙏🙏👍👍💙💛💙💛

Truly is a beautiful area, Dave and Sue. We've loved seeing the Cotswolds sine there was and English actress that did like some of the Downtown Abbey (and other English shows) did a travel series set in villages around the UK for I believe the BBC. These were picked up and shown on PBS here in the US. You capture their essence beautifully here! Thanks so much for bringing us along to this gorgeous area. Semi air suspension systems! 🤣🤣You know it's funny. I think I told you that I tried to talk Kathy into an RV before I retired. (she never went for it) I had settled on a pull behind toy hauler and was going to purchase a 3/4 ton truck to gooseneck it into. The "toy hauler" could fit a Fiat 500 into the back and then create a bedroom when the car was out. Great trailer, but I found out though a seminar, the factory suspension would need to be upgraded. But, I was still willing to do that.

The Cotswolds are beautiful. It’s our nearest National Park but we didn’t hardly ever visit. It’s a bit busy most of the time but we did have a good overnight stay there and it was fun to explore! Fun walking around town with you- all the stonework is lovely! I think I’ve heard about the Cotswolds stone before. Nice window shopping and great that the rains did start while you were out. Nice bench for resting, but probably warmer inside the pub- I loved seeing the truck loaded with hay going by!! ❤❤
It’s really interesting Jen. We have beige building stone around here, in Northants it has a red tint and in Buckinghamshire and the Cotswolds it’s more yellow We seem to be on the move all the time - need to slow down a bit!! 😃😃
LOL...I've been called an antique more than once in my teaching career!! Embrace it as you then are a treasure to hold and only increase in your value!! Can never think of those things to say at the moment though!! lol It's all live at one time or another!! Just the other day a neighbour that I know saw me climbing over a snow bank following Otis and shouts out to me, "Should you be out there doing that?!" I shout back, "I may be getting old, but I ain't dead yet!!" lol I just may have tried sneaking that black bear out with me! That would look lovely in my garden...and may even have the extra benefit of keeping the cats away!! Does look like a lovely area...but am a bit worried about what is coming! Enjoy the adventure!!

Nor have we Ivor - it's only an hour and a half down the road - we used to visit a lot but haven't been for years either. Even this was just a stopover on the way back home. Never been to Moreton before. Nice (less typical I'd say) Cotswold town. Almost more like places that we have around here. But we enjoyed our stay and it was the first weather where you didn't really need a coat!! Hope you're doing ok now Ivor mate
Moreton looked quite nice especially those yellow stone houses. I heard real ale fairly early on so was wondering when you'd pop in the pub. Nice place for the non live TV at the bench in the lovely church grounds. The camp site looked good. Thanks for the look around as I've never been to the Cotswolds for an explore 👍
It’s a beautiful area Paul although always seems a bit crowded. But I think that’s around the honeypot locations and there are other quieter places. We don’t visit enough really seeing as it’s on our doorstep. Oh yes, always try to find some cask ale 😃😃😃
Yes it’s our first time in Moreton. We have some Bourton and Stow - we though Moreton was a bit more like around here - we have a village called Olney which seems very similar 👍👍 Hope you guys are well 👍👍👍

Looks like you hit on some nice dry weather, wish it would spread Up North. We love a good rummage in an antique shop but I always keep on the move just to sure I am not mistaken for one too. An area we no nothing about but it was so nice all the crocuses out in St David's church but even better to get a nice table next to the open fire in the Black Bear. This weather is crazy Alan isn’t it. Haven’t been able to get out locally for much photography at all. Constant rain or grey drizzle. Anyway, yep that brief stop in the Cotswolds was supposed to be wet but we actually had a decent afternoon. It’s an area which we really should visit more - it’s only an hour and a half down the road. Some beautiful little villages - although a bit like the Lakes it gets so crowded all year round. Moreton was a good place to wander - luckily I didn’t get picked up as an antique 😃😃

Watching this I realise how little I know about England and I was surprised to learn that this a large protected landscape in England, but seeing the yellow houses and the surrounding fields gave me some idea about why. And it must be nice to just motor around and then establish base camp before you head out for the local sights, sounds and pubs! How is the cooking in Florrie progressing? Hi Ant. Yes the Cotswolds is the largest area in the country designated an Area of Outstanding National Beauty. So not quite a National Park, like the Lake District, but still protected in most areas. We only stopped off in Moreton for the night - we really should visit more often - it's only an hour and a half from home. We do cook in the van Ant, and also visit pubs too. Probably 50\50 although we really should eat more in the van. The weather is slowly improving here - that afternoon was the first one that we didn't really need a coat on. But since then it has been colder and drier (thankfully) after the wettest February on record!! We both went down with the "bug" last week so we're taking it easy for a bit. Today was a beautiful day, cool but bright and the migrant birds here from the North, are just gathering to make their back for the Spring and Summer Hope you're having agood weekend mate

Do you know I think you’re right Dara. Maybe thats because it’s further North. Northants has that red stone so maybe there’s a crossover and the further North you get the more orange / red the building stone becomes. Fascinating stuff. I’ll have to take more notice as we travel. Northants has very red brick and yet we have a very light beige around here.

It’s a beautiful area Paul although always seems a bit crowded. But I think that’s around the honeypot locations and there are other quieter places. We don’t visit enough really seeing as it’s on our doorstep.

Yes there are lots of shops there! Stow and Moreton are two of the most commercial Cotswold towns. And Bourton of course. 😉
Yes it’s our first time in Moreton. We have some Bourton and Stow - we though Moreton was a bit more like around here - we have a village called Olney which seems very similar 👍👍

Looks like you hit on some nice dry weather, wish it would spread Up North. We love a good rummage in an antique shop but I always keep on the move just to sure I am not mistaken for one too. An area we no nothing about but it was so nice all the crocuses out in St David's church but even better to get a nice table next to the open fire in the Black Bear. Looks like that rain caught up with you in the end, cheers Alan
This weather is crazy Alan isn’t it. Haven’t been able to get out locally for much photography at all. Constant rain or grey drizzle.
Anyway, yep that brief stop in the Cotswolds was supposed to be wet but we actually had a decent afternoon. It’s an area which we really should visit more - it’s only an hour and a half down the road. Some beautiful little villages - although a bit like the Lakes it gets so crowded all year round.
Moreton was a good place to wander - luckily I didn’t get picked up as an antique 😃😃

This place looked fabulous, never bewn here but have been to a few places in The Cotswolds, so gorgeoes. Your campsite looked great too. Loved the little ships and buildings and the Cotswold stone is beautiful. St Davids church was really lovely as you sat in the grounds. Sunrise was beautiful and the dance was great hehe 💃. Ooo you are in the Northwest next? Will look forward to that🙂👍~ Anna

Watching this I realise how little I know about England and I was surprised to learn that this a large protected landscape in England, but seeing the yellow houses and the surrounding fields gave me some idea about why. And it must be nice to just motor around and then establish base camp before you head out for the local sights, sounds and pubs! How is the cooking in Florrie progressing? Yes the Cotswolds is the largest area in the country designated an Area of Outstanding National Beauty. So not quite a National Park, like the Lake District, but still protected in most areas.
We only stopped off in Moreton for the night - we really should visit more often - it's only an hour and a half from home.
We do cook in the van Ant, and also visit pubs too. Probably 50\50 although we really should eat more in the van.
The weather is slowly improving here - that afternoon was the first one that we didn't really need a coat on. But since then it has been colder and drier (thankfully) after the wettest February on record!!
We both went down with the "bug" last week so we're taking it easy for a bit.
Today was a beautiful day, cool but bright and the migrant birds here from the North, are just gathering to make their back for the Spring and Summer

Yep the Cotswolds is right on our doorstep but we just don’t go there. Always find it a bit busy and touristy but I suppose that’s to be expected - it is very beautiful.
The Landrover experience must have been fun. Would have suited be I think - the kids bought me a Ferrari experience which wasn’t me at all. Nearly crashed the ruddy thing 😃😃

I find the stone in Moreton is more orangey than the Cotswold stone in other villages 🧡
Do you know I think you’re right Dara. Maybe thats because it’s further North. Northants has that red stone so maybe there’s a crossover and the further North you get the more orange / red the building stone becomes. Fascinating stuff. I’ll have to take more notice as we travel. Northants has very red brick and yet we have a very light beige around here.

Moreton in the Marsh.... what a lovely sounding place.... and indeed it is. *"Is this a Pub? It is a Pub look"* There's a Pub! lol. Dave was sniffing for that Real Ale Pub, hahaha. What a joy to sit down for 5 minutes whilst deciding which Pub to head off to. ( ͡ ͜ʖ ͡°) I never thought I'd see Sue with a Bear behind, lol! The weather held out for you, typically when you have to head back home to the *rain rain and more rain*. Great to see you guys having such a fun time in your UK Pub tour. 👍◕‿◕
